    I find breathing to be important not only at the plate but outside of baseball also. It helps us live.

    A lot of people are putting this video down. But as someone who has anxiety, I can tell you for sure controlling your breathing can have a huge impact on everything you do. Ever hear of meditation? Thank you for the Great Insight Mr. Jim Thome!

    Are you calmer because you're breathing through your nose, or are you breathing through your nose because you're more calm. I think it's the latter.

    • @alexambroise111
      @alexambroise111 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      the fourth son it's actually kind of like Pavlov's reflexes, it's usually the latter, but your body associates breathing well to being calm so strongly that slowing down your breathing triggers your mind into feeling more calm

    It could likely not be relating to anxiety at all (though not breathing properly can actually create anxiety)... the pollen this spring was horrible in the northeast and I myself couldnt breathe through my nose properly for about a month. It could be as simple as that.

    I think he was breathing because it was freezing in April in Fenway park it was like 20°. In August it's hotter so you breath through your nose. Not saying this is garbage, maybe they are right but probably with something else. Like if u agree!!

    Let's please not make breathing an analytic segment for a player's success . It's August he's obviously gotten his 500 or whatever plate appearances and he's in a rhythm. Let's not forget about the weather and a fly ball off of Giancarlo's bat has a chance to carry over the fence every time.
