As of 1899, Arthur has little respect for John. Arising from John taking a full year away from the gang to see to his family. Arthur states that “had it been anyone else...” Indicating he believes that Dutch coddles Marston. Despite this, the two work well together and the player can attempt to have pleasant conversations with John at camp, usually only getting short, irritated replies from John, likely meaning that the feelings are mutual. However toward the end of the game, after Arthur saves John numerous times, they both share mutual feelings about Dutch having changed and come to respect each other, even going as far as calling each other Brothers. John is very reluctant to leave Arthur behind before he dies, and is deeply saddened by his death, posthumously referring to him as an old friend and using Arthur's ring to marry Abigail. John seems to be forever indebted to Arthur for helping him live a normal life and even went directly after Micah Bell years after his death to avenge him.

I really wish I could go back in time and play this for the first time again. It was such a beautiful and emotionally powerful experience. At the core of the incredible story was brotherhood. It shows that any event could change you’re perspective on life and what you could do to be a better person and help the ones you care about. It shows the consequences of the choices you make to help those people and how it’ll affect the others in your life. It’s incredible how far video games have come. We’ve gone from shoot ‘em up arcade games to incredibly written, emotionally gripping games with investing, deeply written characters. Games like The Last of Us and the Red Dead Series show the potential of many great writers and what they could do. In every single one of your tributes to these games, you show every aspect of what makes that game incredible. You’re THE best creator for these types of videos on TH-cam and deserve way more attention than you get. Thank you for making these videos. They mean a lot.

I stg when Arthur and John had their last moment together and John said “You’re my brother” and Arthur responded “I Know” my heart shattered even more

You did a great job with the editing. When Arthur said "It would mean a lot to me", then the music intensifies and we can see the wedding... That's incredible. It shows clearly how thankful John can be for Arthur for everything he did. This story is just beautiful. Arthur was like a good friend to me, to us.

I love and miss you Arthur Morgan 💓💓 I wish I could of saved you and I wish I could of killed micha and dutch and then Arthur would of still being alive and live the best he could
GD'it, once again I chose to listen to this while working out and next thing I hear while doing some curls is Abby crying her eyes out believing John to be dead and my tears start flowing along with hers..while curling. Poor woman, she had to deal with John's death twice, both under horrible circumstances where she is powerless to help. Isn't it odd to have a strong female character that didn't just have it given to her, where she actually had to live through hell to be the woman she is, one that's also faithful to her man without spouting oppression?

Red dead redemption have the best characters. They are all loveable even micah in a way lol
John and Arthur are the best but it didn't last long Arthur die by a bad sickness but now he is in peace....John.....he is a best father but he had revenge and Arthur.....but say goodbye to them....
The way I played Arthur has bitten me hard.
I’m a new player to RDR, hell, I’m a new player to rockstar.
I shot random people on the streets who insulted me, never helped anyone, robbed outside of missions. I didn’t even know about honour.
But as the game progressed, and my bond with Arthur grew stronger and stronger, it affected my gameplay, my love for Arthur was strong, it felt like he was someone I knew. He was so motivational.
“There’s no shame in looking for a better world..”
“Were in a world that don’t want us no more.”
My honour was near full by the end of the game, and I genuinely felt more and more depressed as the gang worsened, and felt truly betrayed.
The way Arthur realised what they were doing, my honour changed with his personality as it went.
I cried like a baby when you ride back to camp and “that’s the way it is” played.
RDR2 is the only game in my entire life to actually grow such a bond with a fictional character.
RIP Arthur Morgan.
Arthur tried his best to save everything that was not corrupted by Micah and in the end he was successful, it's a lesson of life that we all have to learn because this game also denounces the cruelty of the world back then I won't forget this lesson and Arthur for everything he did because through a video game he changed almost all of our lives
, and i can't believe human made this masterpiece i'm crying everyday because of this game

The sad thing is Dutch raised Arthur since he was fucking 14 or so and yet Micah manipulated him into thinking Arthur was a traitor when all along Micah just wanted the money and probably would have killed Dutch for it if Dutch didn't walk away and he tried to help Arthur up or whatever Micah would have shot Dutch as well

Arthur died a hero to everyone but himself, only he knows the full extent of his sins, but only other could see the good in this eyes. God I love that grumpy old man.
