Despite a global slowdown in the pickup truck market, industry leader BYD in China's new energy vehicle sector clearly doesn't subscribe to this pessimistic view. Instead, it appears to perceive a wealth of untapped opportunities within the segment. On April 22, BYD officially unveiled its plans to launch the "BYD SHARK," a pickup model tailored for the global market, with the Chinese moniker "Shāyú" (meaning "Shark"). This flagship offering will debut in Southeast Asia before steadily expanding its reach worldwide.
In the near future, the BYD SHARK is poised to engage in fierce competition with a constellation of established stars, including the Ford Ranger, the F-150 Lightning, the Toyota Hilux, and even Tesla's Cybertruck. Another sale success!
Thank you for watching and commenting. I believe this car will catch the competitors off guard
@@ChinaDrivers with some minor adjustments ...maybe.

Lol! I just said that same thing, and then I looked at comments. That from looks like a Ford F150 lightning 🌩
The appearance of pickup trucks is quite similar across the board, making it difficult to label any as outright copies.
Another huge success from the great BYD. Stylewise, it is clearly a cheap copy of the F150 - not true that pickups are so similar, in no way a Silverado EV is identical to a Nissan Frontier for example. What is truly shameful, since BYD vehicles are so great.

Copy? So what? They all copy each other. Is it any good?
To those stupid people who just repeat copy copy copy, half tons truck is the hardest design model in all of the vehicles, they should be similar and must be similar.
RIGHT!
One of a kind? Looks like F-150. Everything Chinese is a western copy.
Perhaps the true reason for the decline of the West lies in its difficulty in accepting and learning from the progress of other countries. I'm sorry to respond in such a manner!
@@ChinaDrivers Perfect response. The west will utter collapse with this kind of attitude.
nah, just your brain is a chinese copy, westards, and all your curves and shapes copied chinese pictograph, because to your non-existent brain, curves are 'copied'. and you also have a phev to be copied from too, try grow a head, but you can't.

Do you know anything Chinese which is not a copy?
If relying on imitation can propel a country to become the world's second-largest economy, fostering national strength and wealth among its people, then perhaps you should question why your country's leaders aren't doing the same.
@@ChinaDrivers because our people have rights. Or do you believe that other countries are stupid?
@@nicknick7052 Do you mean to suggest that the Chinese people have no rights? From where have you obtained this information? You clearly have no understanding of China; you merely repeat hearsay. Why not even purchase a cheap plane ticket and fly directly to China to see for yourself whether it is as you perceive it to be?
@@ChinaDrivers 🙂I don't know how old you are but you sound a good boy.
@@nicknick7052 Don't wish to engage in political debates, as it's unrelated to this channel. Should you present factual information, further discussion might be possible
Another copy😂😂
BYD's designer is a German with extensive experience with hypercars and supercars. Go ask him why copy-paste?
@@fanz8689 exactly, a Chinese company car without a Chinese designer.
Which car model is this copied from?
BYD is a global company, but you're asking it to operate like a household workshop, which is just rude
@@ChinaDrivers For me BYD is a Chinese company and Toyota for example is not a household workshop at all. You sound a bit confused; are you all good?
