- Saint Paul's Cathedral Outside The Walls in Rome, Italy is according to tradition the burial place of the Apostle Paul. Paul's stone coffin was confirmed to be under the main altar in the basilica in 2006, and not long after carbon dating tests were performed on the contents inside the coffin which dated back to the 1st century confirming what tradition has been saying for almost 2000 years. Paul was born Saul of Tarsus who had risen in Judaism and was the chief persecutor of Christians when he was converted on the road to Damascus when Jesus appeared to him. He wrote letters which make up close to half of the New Testament Scriptures, and other than the resurrection of Jesus, his conversion and influence is considered by many to be one of two pillars the Church of Jesus Christ is built upon. Relics found in this church include Saint Paul's staff, a piece of the cross Jesus was crucified upon, and bones from Timothy, Andrew, Bartholomew and Saint Matthew. l'apostolo paolo luogo di sepoltura
Thank you. we visited the Vatican on a tour but did not have time to visit any of the places internally. Disappointed, I saw your posting and being a Christian was thrilled and moved to see Paul's resting place. such beautiful architecture too. Thanks for filming it so well and sharing it.

Considering Roman execution for someone like Paul, I really question that he has his own buriel place. Considering Nero was using Christians as burning lamps, I don't think the church was willing to retrieve the body. It would be like Jews trying to retrieve a rabbi's body from the ss guards. I just find it difficult to believe.

I found out from reading that Jesus and his Apostles were celebrating the first catholic masses in the Jewish temples and that’s why the Catholics eat unleavened bread during the mass service because it was the original Jewish custom to eat unleavened bread and not leavened bread or bread that rises or has yeast in it!

How would anyone know if that was really Paul? Just curious
No one can know for sure. Tradition has it that Paul was in Rome at the time of his death. Also, test have been done by secular groups which affirm that someone during the time of Paul is buried in this place.
bbew Ecurb so it's accepted on faith that Paul and even Peter is in these places. My mom and step dad went to see this and also Israel prior to her passing. I'm glad they did .

Read the book “The Fisherman’s Tomb” by John O’Neill. It’s the story of how the tomb was found and who discovered his bones. I just finished the book. I think there is pretty startling evidence that it really is the Apostle Paul.

Never make your own carved idols or statues that represent any creature in the sky, on the earth, or in the water.
The key word is idol or turning images into objects of worship. The Brazen sea in Solomon's temple had oxen, lions and cheribum. ( 1 Kings 7:26 and 29). You can read about some of the artwork in 1 Kings chapters 6 & 7.

Paul was a Roman citizen and as such he was executed most likely by beheading. He was also short in stature (paulus is Latin for "little man"), these facts should be verified on the bones in the grave.
