Ok so ive followed every step you suggested here and it still gave me a failed to install error... youve been so very helpful in the past and I really need your help please. It is 3/6/2019 and I'm attempting to install 419.35 for the geforce gtx 1050 ti. I did everything up to the actual clean installation and it skipped asking me about terms and the clean install option. Idk what to do now, I unistalled the driver to do this and it's now running like a complete slug. Please help.

Unfortunately, this did not work for me. That said, I learned some handy stuff from this video! Thank you! And for anyone out there who ended up in the same place as me, with Video drivers that were completely uninstalled, and no possible way to install them back, here's what I did... I performed a Windows Restore to a version that was two days old (Google: Windows Restore). Even though I still can't install a new Video Driver, at least my old driver still worked. Unfortunately, this still didn't work for me. :/ At this point, I think my Windows just really doesn't like the new drivers. The current driver does it's job fine, albeit a little old (2015).
I gave a like because of the good explanations on safe mode and the DDU and all, but I think you need to review other videos. Your method works if you match the right versions of windows 10 with gtx driver. Then it is confusing when you first uninstall a nvidia driver, then reinstall it. I thought other old previous drivers would be uninstalled then so you could install the nvidia driver???? Not seeing you responding to peoples questions below?? what's up??? where you at??

Windows 1903 and RTX2080ti driver 431.36 all this worked perfectly for me!! You save my life and thank you so much! With DDU is even easier to go into save mod and then just choose clean all drivers without restarting! After all is uninstall just install the new driver and restart! Just note that I test 4 different drivers and one of those didn’t complete installation but the other 3 worked out ! New subscriber here 😃

Ryan Cooper hey bro solved my problem couple days ago, all i did was restart my OS, if you go into recovery options and then reset this pc, i clicked save my personal files and now my system recognizes my gpu and i installed new drives. Hope this helps you out wish you the best of luck!
Funny you posted this video, because I had to a Nividia update last night with my Windows 10 1809 Nov 2018 security updates I used the Windows 10 update to install it, with no problems Wow you did this and it didn't take you 3 hours to do it ! Bye for now Cheers

For me the problem is a little different. My windows 10 now after it's update. It doesn't want to accept any of my nvidia drivers. It installs but when I go to device manager there's still a warning sign. So any help on that?

Been having Installation failures for the past 2 years on my PC, probably something to do with my OEM Windows 10 version (should've bought a Windows 10 USB but I didn't know better). For those 2 years, every single installation of an Nvidia Driver would fail, and I was forced to use DDU. Today I found out DDU didn't work- for some reason Windows was installing Nvidia driver version 388.16 in the background after a DDU restart. Your video showed that I had to disable WIndows auto-installation in the Device/Printer panel, thank you. I still have to use DDU but at least I know what to do for the future.

I had this happen with a 980ti just recently when trying to install the Nvidia 416.81 driver via Geforce Experience in Windows 10 1803. I managed to get it installed without using ddu . I downloaded the 416.81 driver from Nvidia website, extracted it to a folder using 7zip, opened device manager, clicked on the graphics card and manually browsed to the extracted files, selected this file - "416.81-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql\Display.Driver v_dispi.inf" .. The driver updated sucessfully. Just to be certain that the driver was completely installed, I then ran the 416.81 driver installation setup on top, this time it accepted the 980ti.
I still get windows code error 43 after performing this, despite successful installation of the graphics driver. Could this be a hardware issue rather than a driver issue?

Well i might as well come here and say if this worked or not..... i spent 4 hours getting no where everything i tried was not working then i followed this vid, i tried to install the 3.18 geforcex update and i kept getting the installation failed message so if this is why ur here i can confirm it works! although during the install of the graphics driver my instaltion still failed lmaooo it said the nvidia telemetry container failed to install. idk what that is about, but i said "ehh might as well try to install it after putting so much work into this fix" and what do ya know everything works.... cheers and thanks for the video!!
Sadly didn't work for me, I don't even get the option to pick what kind of installation I want, it fails before it reaches that point. Back to the drawing board for me, I guess.
After a few unsuccessful try, I've manage to do it by disconnecting the internet before safe mode and after. By the time I was back from safe mode with internet on, the darn Microsoft installed the default drivers again. Only offline I was able to install the driver I wanted.Thank you very much.

My installation fails during the actual installing part, not the system detection part. I tried the same program you did and booted in safe mode etc but it just did not work. Same vague error message.

Run the pc with the graphics uninstalled then pull out the graphics card start the pc run it in safe mode and download the new driver turn off ur pc reboot into safe mode with your graphics card in your pci and install the drivers

Try the card on another machine, it may be a defective card, or not suitable for the machine in use.

Did everything you did in the video, still got the error. "This DCH driver package is not compatible......"
andreaspeas on the manual download page, click on beta and older versions, and you can pick DCH drivers
It was easier, in my case, to install Nvidia GeForce Experience which updates drivers and uses a clean installation...
It won't recognize my graphics driver and it fails again...
Its not working in GTX 1650. The heck is wrong in this NVIDIA. Its really pissing me off

which port do you connect for your display hdmi/display port before/during installation? On GPU or MOBO?
