This was great, we used it to help plan our trip down the lower missinaibi with our kids...as we couldn't find much info on the paddle. Keep on rocking it!
It was great, its been on my list for years! Kids loved it too! Water was a little low at times, but we wanted less bugs, and new that be the case...made it easier for the kids too. Lots of fish, moose, bear and good times.@@marieandree33
Unfortunately you can’t do that. Both sides of the river are a provincial park with designated camp sites. You gotta take what you can get. No chopping new sites.
Oh gosh no. I store a lot of waterproof items, loosely. And I don’t have a big bag to put everything in. I’m also stubborn and only want to do one trip 😂. Even though I’m slower, I end up finishing first from those that do multiple portage trips.

That’s amazing!! So glad I could help! How did your trip turn out?

They put that big sign at thunder house because on the American maps. The portage is show on right of the river. Every year canoeist would drown.
Ya, it’s pretty nuts! It’s also really far from the actual portage. But at least it gets you ready.
consider going back into the trees and cutting a tent site- warmer back there out of the wind- maybe; more protection from rain and wind?

never been in a kayak; can one carry it like a canoe rather than dragging- might go easier?
