Great advice especially for people who feel like there is no way to break a combo. There are like 8 different ways to end an enemy combo. Block, dodge (with 3 different directions) jump and air dodge (many different directions), attack with something faster, use a move with longer range, run away and immediately come back to punish a missed attack, grab before they attack (risky but flashy as hell and gives you a combo if they're low percent, potential kill if they're high percent), use a move you know super armors through them (risky, only use if you KNOW they're going to attack), jump away and don't be predictable, you gotta make sure they're always guessing. If they punish you in the same way for an action you make more than once, don't make that action again, you gotta switch it up. Usually that happens when you're being too aggressive.

One thing I did that kind of helped me break out of nervous habits in Smash Bros (or just fighting games in general) was teach myself a "defensive fighting playstyle." I went into training mode in King of Fighters XIV and set the CPU to hard difficulty and would make myself stay in a defensive playstyle while dealing with the added pressure. I picked moves and picked maneuvers to help me handle pressure and get out of tight situations. That training actually helped me a lot in various different game I play, including Smash Bros.

Just do as Dabuz says here and either save your jump and just up b to ledge, or use your jump much lower below the ledge to stall and then up b.
