- In todays video I am going over my travelers notebook, and how I have set it up and, I am talking about why a pocket notebook is such a lifesaver and a necessity for everyone who is into productivity.

I have been keeping a notebook for about a year or so & I find it really helps me to not forget things I need to get done as my memory as got worse as I've got older, now in my 60's. One I use mostly for Daily To Do's & I have another as a Personal Journal where I can expand on my thoughts & events. I love writing things down on paper with a pen compared to typing stuff into a phone app or computer. I made my own Passport size Travelers Notebook cover from the leather cover of an old ring binder planner that I had. I made it a bit wider than the Traveler's Company one so the inserts don't hang out at the side. I use the Traveler's Company Passport size inserts in it. It also doubles as my wallet by using the plastic zip up insert for coins & cards & a kraft folder for bank notes, receipts etc. Thanks for sharing your set up. Kind regards, Tony.

It is really cool that you were able to make your own travelers note book. It sounds like it is great, and you were able to solve the problem I have had with inserts hanging out. I also agree that there is something that feels much better when you write notes by hand.

I love how shinny your passport notebook is, hoping mine looks that good.
It is really shiny at first but mine is getting a little less shiny after using it a lot!
I like fine and extra-fine nibs, but with Noodler’s X-Feather, Moleskine and fountain pens work very well together for me.

Field notes or similar are purpose built for this.

Field notes is really good! Moleskine cashier is an option as well, but I like field notes the best.
