It's actually really scary how efficient Zaheer's team was with their attempt to kidnap Korra. They would have gotten away with it if it weren't for Pabu
I love how Zaheer and his team are shown to be competent. Its a significant struggle to survive each encounter. It's also so amazing how much world building we get now that we aren't limited by the bounds of republic city. Aiwei, the metal clan, the cultures and independent motivations that Korra has to absorb and manage. That is what I think the first 2 seasons on Korra was missing the most because of how much effort was put into fleshing out Republic City, it sacrificed our focus on the world that continued to chug along despite this one city.
Never noticed this until now, but P’Li’s fire bending (not combustion) seemed almost water bending-like, the way she rotated upward and dissipated it instead of just cutting through it like we’ve seen before. And it seems fitting considering how combustion benders are made (explained in the Yangchen novels)
I like how compared to Combustion Man in ATLA, P'Li doesn't feel like she has that raw strength in her explosions but she does have more control and accuracy (she curving that shit lol!). I think a lot of us at the time thought Su was the mole or at least had something to do with Zaheer/what happened 😅 That bomb honestly freaked the hell out of me the first time I watched this lol. Didn't expect anything like that to happen and really thought someone was either going to get badly injured or die.
They actually all have three. Water: blood, healing, spirit Fire: lightning, Redirection, combustion Earth: Metal, Lava, seismic sense Airbending only has two though. Air: Flight, astral projection
@@Izanagi-Okami Redirection, Healing, Astral Projection, Flight, Seismic Sense are all not sub-bendings, they're just added talents in the original bending. 6:23 i agreeee it's actually so fascinating watching Zaheer airbend because he's the only one who uses it offensively, considering throughout history airbenders only use their bending to 'avoid and evade'
@@JustJDx that isn't a spoil. We're there any details? No? @@3Kings_Industries A spoiler is referring to anything that is yet to happen or be revealed-alluding to future events. You're stating that Zaheer will meet Tenzin. I'm saying there's no reason to mention something they will discover themselves. On several occasions throughout book 1, 2 and 3 so far fans originally were positive we'd find out more about Sokka's life and fate, yet we didn't get that. My point being our expectations (what we consider obvious) do(es)n't automatically equate what's gonna be addressed in the show. So yeah I'm thinking critically enough.
Hey Avatar Meesh and Avatar Dee! I hope you two day have been going well "Happy Wednesday". Great episode. The battle between Mako, Bolin, Lin and Suyin vs Zaheer gang was great. You two channeling y'all inner Scorpion "Get Over Here". Lol he's my favorite Mortal Kombat character. Lava bending is so cool. It was so obvious that Aiwei was the mole. I will say when Mako isn't caught in a stupid weird love triangle. He's actually a good character. Lol at Varrick. But anyway I hope you two have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care and stay amazing.
Water bending has always been my fav just bcoz i feel it’s the most balanced and have the most psychopathic potential with blood bending. But LOK definitely shows how awesome Lava bending is. I actually think it’s the one sub bending that can potentially be unique and have it where Earth, Fire and Water benders can acquire it or atleast 2/3 of the elements, idk i just think it’ll be super cool and interesting if the writers did that instead of just it being a sub Earth bending ability.
I think aiwei probably would have pinned it on Varrick but that would have been impossible if his whole evening routine was captured on film. As soon as there's pressure to start interviewing people higher up in the food chain, aiwei picks a guard to blame and runs with it or he's at risk of being found out.
Hold up, did Varrick create an Air Bender breathalyzer? Korra's gonna be asking people to blow into it. 4:32 - Dee, there are many reasons why it was easy for Anti-Team Avatar to capture Korra. For starters, everyone believed Zaheer & his team had no idea where they were. While that's not as bad as my other point(s), if they'd had the mindset that Zaheer knew where they were at all times, then they'd be more alert. Second, the ego of Zaofu & her people. I believe it was Su that bragged Zaofu was the safest city. It's that kind of thinking that allow for mistakes or oversights to happen. The metal dome can only be moved by a metal bender, makes sense as to why they'd feel safe with it up during the nights; but metal melts in high enough temperatures-the dome is made of thick metal, but with enough time a hole could be made (easier too if you have a lava bender. Third, once inside, there weren't any (that we saw) additional obstacles. The guard's response time was quick, which has me believe guards are stationed close by, but for the leader of the city, I didn't see any kind of physical barriers to protect someone so important. Long story short, it's a kids show, no one's got time to be that detailed. I like how out of everyone there, it was Mako & Varrick that realized the guard was being set up. Varrick because he set someone up in the past, so he would see the signs, & Mako because he was the one Varrick set up. Good callback from Book 2. Alright, bye! =^._.^=
I think youtube either deleted my comment or something happened 😒 But I loved this episode! We got to see just how deadly Zaheer's group really is and that is before he even had airbending! Sometimes I wish I had lavabending lol *cough* Avatar senses saved them there with that explosive 😳
