Amon and Tarrloks end breaks my heart every time. They were raised as weapons, went off and lived their own lives but in the end, they were exactly that, Weapons.. Amon went in through the criminal underbelly of the city and Tarrlok tried to do it Politically. The way they just went out like that, really makes ya feel for them.

Star Wars marathon, I need to see you guys discovering it all. As always, you both made us relive the sensations we had when first seeing our favourite shows.
Amon as the anti-hero is such a wonderful character because in some level he is relatable -- he was Jet and Hama magnified. His (and Hisroshi's) darkness is in all of us; and it takes so much strength to not succumb to it when its call is so seductive: darkness thrives in the void, but always yields to purifying light. Makes you appreciate how much light there was in Aang that he did not let his grief for his people consume him; or in Katara when she faced Yon Rha and chose to let go of her revenge.
When I see the enemies Korra fights, I laugh at those who compare her to Aang. Korra is truly a legend. It would be cruel to give spoilers, but Korra made Aang's dream come true.

Even though ATLA fans have divided thoughts about the Legend of Korra, I personally enjoyed watching the whole series. The creators did what they can considering the budget and issues with Nickelodeon. Both ATLA and LoK are special in their own ways.
LOK is a mature cartoon not for young kids and family oriented at all. Now, Aang's moment was always a big emotional thing for any Avatar's fans. This is certainly not the last time, you will tear with LOK. Luv your genuine reaction for all the season and your open-mind for not letting negative & toxic haters stopping you to enjoy LOK. Can't wait for the rest of the seasons. I know you arrived to half season 2, IDK if you reached the revelation 2 parter episode yet, but it's one of the most powerful moment(or the most?) in Avatar's story and one tearing moment for sure!
Idc what people might say. That tear, it would fall in the ocean only if she was at the edge of the cliff. She was ready to suicide so the next avatar, an avatar that would be able to bend all four elements, can be reborn in the earth kingdom. That why Aang came into help, she hit her lowest point.
That's totally fake. Never said she was thinking about that, and if you know the show youll know she was in a darker place and state and she did not think about this. Korra did not care about the cycle itself, she loved being the avatar, herself, she wouldn't quit just for that. And the biggest argument is that episode 1 and season 3 proved that the cliff is actually Korra's safest place, where she goes to be alone and vulnerable. Her lowest point is her identity taken from her, not a suicide attempt.
If you think of it, Aang is the face of hope. He even gave Zuko hope 😂 And now he gave his reincarnation a hope to live by spiritually giving her bending back🥺🥹 Actually almost everyone thought that Korra has to re-learn the bending, but then that's Aang's avatar journey, so we were all shock on that last scene😂
Oh really!? Tbh I loved Amon! I think he had everything I loved in a villian! A secret identity, a mask, an actual threat to the heroes! Gone too soon for me, but we’re half way through season 2 so looking forward to seeing who the season 3 villian is!
Season 1 of Korra has phenomenal world building and setup. Nick definitely didn't give them enough episodes to explore this topic, would've been epic if it had been 20 episodes, or 2 seasons. The wrap up is a little bit too rushed, and it ends up being good but not great. But the one constant in Korra is that nick consistently undermines the writers by ordering seasons as 1-offs, then constantly cutting their budget and just making things REALLY difficult for the creators.

The music is incredible! In a commentary track, the show's creators say they don't put much stock in awards, but it is a *crime* Jeremy Zuckerman never got one for the Avatar franchise, which is 100% true. And yeah, the art is so good! And everything comes so fast! The pacing of LoK is so intense compared to the original series, which had some slow episodes. Keep the tissue box handy! There will be more tearbending, especially since y'all are empathizing with Korra so well.
Amon probably didn't have anything against benders but wanted to fulfill his fathers request to take over republic city the same as Tarlok wanted. When he is the only bender left in the city and a powerful blood bender at that he could rule the city easily.
To add to the problems with season 1 and 2 being ordered as one-offs that others have mentioned, Book 2 episodes 1-6 and 9 were animated by a different studio due to a number of reasons (some on Nick, some on the season 1 studio being completely burned out [the average anime contains 3,000 frames per episode, Korra Book 1 contains 15,000 frames per episode]), and that unfortunately shows in the quality of the animation. The original studio returned for Book 2 episodes 7-8 and 10-end, and then did Books 3 and 4 as well.
That’s insane. It will be interesting to check out ep 7 tomorrow and see if there is a viable difference. A shame book 2 had so many issues in production
@@Reactsandgames It might not be the most visible for episode 7 and 8 (you'll see why), but I think there's a pretty stark difference between 9 (replacement animators) and 10 (original animators). And it is a shame, I know a lot of people give Book 2 crap but there are a lot of really interesting ideas in there, especially in the back half of the season.

I'm not sure this has been brought up, but Season 1 and 2 were both ordered by Nickelodeon as 1 offs, so they both try to wrap everything up. 3 and 4 were ordered together, it makes the storyline a little clunky, especially season 2, but season's 3 and 4 are the best of the Avatar franchise.

Season 3 is peak korra imo when it comes to the storyline, arcs, build up characters are insanely good! it’s almost as good if not better than Season 3 of ATLA. Season 4 is really good aswell, so can’t wait to see you guys on this journey!

All the seasons of korra are written to be the end of the series because the showrunners didn't know if it would continue and the show is much more mature in many topics. The last airbender was a lot of big world outside topics, korra was a lot of inner turmoil topics. And if you pay attention to her character you'd know that the cliff is her safest place, where she goes WITH NAGA to be alone and vulnerable, it was shown in ep1 and season 3 ep 2.
