- NEW DELHI: One year after the Galwan clash, the standoff between India and China continues in eastern Ladakh though partial disengagement has taken place. If Galwan was a game-changer where India gave it back to China, there was another incident 35 years ago when India stood firm and displayed aggressive intent against Chinese intrusion in Arunachal Pradesh. India quickly mobilised troops, just like it did in Ladakh last year, and signalled to the China that it was ready for a fight. Looks like What ever indian victory claims over chinese army aggression since 1962 were the army’s own decisions to stand up to the enemy.

The indian bitterness is actually from the total defeat of 1962.
Great content from the history. I firmly believe that our Army, Navy and Air Force is well capable to handle Chinese threats if they gets a free hand from Political leadership. Galwan and Doklam are best example of that. China believes in Propoganda War and not in actual war. And this will be proved whenever a war happens with China and India or China and USA.
Chinese can only intimidate small countries like Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam etc.
India lost in 1962 due to the Blunders of Nehru & Menon. Thankfully that gave the gift of Buddhism and Dalai Lama to India. In this context Nehru had some sense to create Dharmasala and there by reaped a peace dividend. China did a great service to Buddhism by driving out the Tibetans. World and India needed that.

This can never happen. I hope Indians can read carefully and experience with their hearts. The huge difference in the founding of China and India determines the biggest difference between India and China. Just look at the modern history of both countries and you will understand. India has been colonized by Britain for more than 200 years. In 1947, Britain experienced World War II, its strength declined significantly, and its status was replaced by the United States. India achieved independence through non violent and non cooperative means. In other words, India's independence has not undergone the test of blood and fire. Such an independent country lacks cohesion, willpower, and a sense of national identity. Now let's talk about China. Since the British defeated the corrupt and incompetent Qing government in 1840, the Chinese people have been living in dire straits. Various disasters and wars followed one after another. At that time, China was very poor and backward, suffering various humiliations. Including the cession of Hong Kong and Macau, Taiwan becoming a Japanese colony, the Eight Nation Alliance setting fire to the Old Summer Palace, and subsequent Japan's comprehensive and brutal invasion of China. In 1931, Japan launched a full-scale invasion of China. From 1931 to 1945, the war lasted for 14 years. The Chinese military and civilians rose up to resist, fought with blood for fourteen years, and suffered 30 million casualties, ultimately achieving victory. Do you know why there are so many casualties in China? There are hundreds of reasons, and I will only give an example of one phenomenon: Chinese troops are in conflict with Japanese troops. The Indian army is the worst army among all China's opponents.
