    • @skycaptain3344
      @skycaptain3344 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@rightlanehog3151 why is that surprising to you? This is not uncommon for any car maker. The most optioned out version often reaches just above the next step up on the ladder (but that’s usually the most base trim of that next step). I’ve also found the highest trim usually has the most room to negotiate down in price!

    • @benven2161
      @benven2161 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It doesn’t cost the same as the big one! The basic Bronco cost more than o bronco sport fully equipped! A basic bronco 4 doors is around 50.000 while a Bronco sport badlands start at 42.000 Canadian

    • @ShawnBox
      @ShawnBox หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I could buy a Bronco Raptor if I wanted. I bought a fully loaded BadSport. Why? The BadSport will do 95% of the off roading I will do, the 20%+ better gas mileage, it is way smaller and more maneuverable in the tight woods trails, the ride is much better on road.

    Another year of not making a hybrid Bronco Sport, another huge missed opportunity. (Sigh) However, I _love_ the Freewheeling trim, I think they nailed the retro look just perfectly. And to answer Alex's question, that was indeed a factory option on the O.G. Bronco.

    This is the spiritual successor to the first and second gen escapes. My 2010 limited with 145k miles is my trusty steed and I want one of these so badly and love their character. But that 3 cylinder engine and all the complaints 😢. I don’t off-road as much as I used to and am more on the road so a CX50 or 25 Equinox makes more sense to me. also drove a 25 forester and hated it (I sound spoiled 🙃)

    There are a ton of complaints about and problems with the Ford 1.5. You didn't mention that in your review. Did they re-design this engine for this model in the past year or so? If not, I don't see how you can recommend it.

      Ford did redesign the two engines, I have heard. Still based on the same blocks, but with different internals. Time will tell if Ford has addressed the coolant leaks in the 1.5 liter 3 cylinder.

    • @AAutoBuyersGuide

    It was always fun to find a Ford "Special Edition" flyer in the Sunday newspaper. Unique colors, designer interiors, feature/equipment upgrades; some special edition vehicles came with badges in key areas to let onlookers know you're not driving an ordinary car. Sometimes a simple tape stripe package can add interest to a slow selling car . Maybe the "Freewheeling" trim will be followed by a "Country Squire" edition for people needing a fake-woody fix.

    It's really a Ford Escape, just a newer version of the 2nd Gen. Ford abandoned the North America version in 2013 to adapt the European Kuga platform, thinking that small trucklike vehicles were no longer a thing. The new "Bronco Sport" is the 5th Gen version of the Bronco. The Land Rover touches were influenced by the partnership with Ford back then that lingered into the new design. I parked my 2010 Escape next to the Bronco Sport and it's amazing to see the similarities that linger in today's model...but with more modern touches.

      @ I am certain Ford sells a replacement, though I bet it’s quite expensive. The Ford unit is technically a cold air system as well. As someone who owned a Focus with one, and as someone who has seen the aftermarket replacements, I can assure you both have the same routing which pulls air from low down in the fender and behind the bumper. I really don’t know why you have such an axe to grind and why you have not looked this part up just to see for yourself..

    @acsmoothing2262 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I have to disagree with Travis and Alex regarding the new larger touchscreen infotainment on the 2025 and later Bronco Sports. It will not be an improvement. I tested out that system in the current Ford Escape, and it is execrable. Simple things like tuning the radio, or turning on your heated seats, are buried under submenus or hidden behind two or three swipes on the screen. The interface is awful and sorely fails the ease-of-use test from either the passenger's or the driver's position. In contrast, the infotainment stack of the 2024 and older Bronco Sports is the portrait of simplicity and ease-of-use.
    I own a Subaru Outback XT, which has a massive central touchscreen where most climate and all music controls are. There are hardly any buttons in the infotainment, and I have lost patience with it. In contrast, the 2024 and older Bronco Sports are so much more usable. As I have been shopping for a replacement for the Subaru Outback XT, the Bronco Sport is now the top contender based largely on its practical shape and also based on its great infotainment. In short: big screens without buttons and knobs are worse than little screens with buttons and knobs.

      - Not a bad package, then I dropped the price more with a Trade In. And they found me a lower bank rate than my Credit Union.
      - Saved 4k+ off the top, then $2.5k with a 2007 Highlander with a lot of issues. The swing in the Highlander (trade in + value of known issues) was around $7.5k.

      Interesting comment. I just went to the LA auto show and thought that the Bronco sport (with leather seats) had the most cushioned/comfortable seats of any car/brand at the event. I actually liked that you could raise the seat high and still have headroom since I have a lower back problem. But you can also lower the seat to a more traditional seating position if you want. The seats alone had me wondering if I should consider the Bronco sport as a future car. But the infotainment setup looks cheap and small. So I'm glad they're planning to increase the screen size for next year.

    24 Bronco Sport Badlands has the same clearance as a 25 With SAS. SAS is a $4k? Upgrade? For that $4k on a discounted '24, you can get an HRG 1.5" lift, front skid, and mid skid. Then you still have $2k for other accessories. As for rear Shackles, get the '24 with tow kit and buy a hitch shackle. Not to mention that '24 are now selling for under Invoice.
    Unless you want Sync4 (which removes physical HVAC controls) and the side tie-down latches, why spent probably near $10k more for a '25 with SAS.
