Petiteknit’s Friday sweater in linen quill. Plan on making it 3/4 sleeve in an oatmeal with a brick colored stripe. At the sleeve separation, so I have hope I can get it done before the weather gets too hot.
So happy to see your review of #17. Waiting for mine in the mail and have yarn on the way for the Utopia. Agree about the excellent cable detail. Also love that the sleeves are plain. I’ve really wanted to knit a lace sweater, but my style isn't very girly and most lace patterns feel like too much, but this one seems an excellent, versatile option.
Hello - first time I came across your vlog. So interesting and loved looking at the Spincycle Yarn in that beautiful knit! OMG... I am working on the Elevation Loop Sweater at the moment (new release) and really enjoying it. See you next time!
Hi, love your video. I have been obsessed with linen yarn as well and I have found that it needs to be rolled around a core, otherwise, it becomes very snarled up at the end. I've been rolling mine onto a paper towel roll - just cut a slit in one end and thread a piece through to hold it and then roll it on like a spool of thread. Tedious, but it works. Can't wait to see your finished piece in the blue!
Enjoyed your vlog very much, new to me....that Isager Hor indigo color is gorgeous, it kind of looks like Quince Sparrow, I always wind into a ball and often will use a yarn sock , it keeps it together and tidy...love your gold Ranunculus!
Janis I’m happy you are here! It seems that many people are suggesting winding it into a ball which I do think makes a lot of sense adding a yarn cozy is a great idea! 💙 the indigo color is really fantastic and even better in person
Hey, what I do is roll hand roll the linen around that old paper towel cardboard like the inside of it and roll the linen around it and it works really well
Thank you for your kinds words! I can't wait to see your beautiful linen Uptown Tee! I haven't knit with linen yet so I'm sorry I can't help you out with any suggestions there. You Laine magazine review makes me want to run to my LYS and pick up a copy for myself, there are some great looking patterns in there!
New to your channel, I really enjoyed this episode and will take a look at prior episodes also. I am very interested to try the jacquard ladder technique- I had no idea there were 2 versions. Beautiful knits! 🧶. Oh and when I tunes in and you had a Rhino lamp i thought, I definitely want to know that story. I had to go watch the Rhino episode, I love it. Sent my husband the T-rex link! Love it!
I’m so glad you’re here, jacquard ladder is easy enough it just really take more brain power, the ornamante t-Rex 🦖 is too cute ! I don’t think they can knit with those short arms 😂
I'm knitting the white mountains light in bien aimee sw merino dk! the yarn blooms up and is soooo beyond soft, but I had to learn helical knitting because of the color variations. I plan to make a more masculine version of it for my husband once I'm done with mine. I knit the sleeves longer than the pattern recommended but I like longer sleeves on me anyway
i want to be a sock knitter but haven’t quite gotten into it! i’ve completed one sock and am definitely suffering from second sock syndrome. but that hasn’t stopped me from buying sock yarn for multiple friends and family members to knit up one day 🤣 hoping to get some tiny interchangeables as a gift for my bridal shower or something so i can knit two at a time!!
Everyday attitude tee, almost done but I find it endless as I want to cast on another summer tee (don't know wich one yet). And for the linnen (same problem right now), I cake it and put the cake in a sock si I can center pull it but the cake stays caked :D
I like it. I got thru the first 2 sections and the first part of the third section with no hiccups but then I went Rouge and am just making it up as I go along. I'm using g a fade set called Grey Babe from Northwoods fiber co. And some LBA and Madelintosh. I am going thru a grey (and black and white) faze.
i'm working on a candy cloud cardigan from at danish handdyer, designer and podcaster (she podcasts in english) The pattern is in both danish and english and a great way to reduce your silk mohair scraps. It's from camijoknit - Camilla Hoier Adamsen.
How much of the LBA Kokko did you use? I have one hank of it and my LYS doesn't have more. I am debating if I want to mix it with an orange for fall or a neon green and brighten it.
I used one skein plus 8 grams ( I measured) of the mohair. You could try making it shorter sleeves or fade in another color. I think your suggestion of green is also a great idea.
I think that you are referring to my yellow one I used La Bien Aimee’s Kokko mohair and one strand of Chelsea yarns straw hat I think that it tones down the mohair a bit

@@melissap.mcavoy3832 this sounds so cute! I enjoy knitting with linen quill even in the summer, but I like to wait to wear it in the cooler months

Melissa I agree UTOPIA isn’t too girly I also imagine it would look really different in different colors
Beautiful sweaters! Hør is pronounced like the English word “her” . Looking forward to seeing how it will turn out. Great podcast. 💕🧶🖖🏼
Carole, Thank you! I hate mispronouncing words 🖤
aww yay! good for you for getting out to a knit night! :)

Sea of seals hat. My first colorworkish, technically modular. It's so cute!!
I checked it out, it looks like it can be super graphic, what a fun pattern

The Laine Magazine is fantastic You should definitely get it 😆

I just finished my Birds of a Feather shawl for the KAL - it's a big one!! Yours is looking beautiful.
K, that’s great I have 3 sections left and I’m sweating 😅 but I do have some good chunks of knitting time over the next few days

Jade this sounds Stunning 🤩. Your husband is one lucky man mine just gets socks 😆

Hello from Finland! I'm here for the first time and knitting my Love letter top by Kutova Kika (test knit) in a one-day heat wave we have today.
Annika welcome! I hope you are able to stay cool ! The love letter top is 😍

France, the sock suggestion is brilliant ✨
Also...i am working on my own take on Vertices Unite. I just bought the pattern for Flea. A cardigan. Going to prep and start it for next fall.
Vertices unite is on my list! I hope you are enjoying it

The candy cloud cardigan looks super fun to knit, are you approaching it randomly choosing colors? Or with a plan in mind ?
@@westmaven I’m doing a fade from white to red
rubber band to keep it nicely wound up. I also have a hair clip to keep it nicely tuck in without flaying all over.
These are great suggestions I will have to try 💕

Put the linen in a small plastic bag as you use it……the bag will suffice as a container for the yarn.
Miriam that is a genius idea 💡!
I always hand wind my linen yarn into a ball.
caking it will result in the same problem you are currently experiencing
Debra such a good point I will have to try it for sure
Maybe try to insert it on to a paper towel holder. It has worked for me.
This is a good suggestion I will have to try it 🙏
Hey, what yarn did you need your ranunculus out of two strands of mohair?
I think that you are referring to my yellow one I used La Bien Aimee’s Kokko mohair and one strand of Chelsea yarns straw hat I think that it tones down the mohair a bit
hello, you're a star 🌠🌟⭐
🥰
Put it in a sock to stop it unraveling
Brilliant 💡
