we often underestimate the amount of work that DJs have to do to get music going, they don't just open spotify with an AUX cable and switch songs when things start getting stale
People saying this doesn't matter, don't really love music. When music is something that really matters to you, you can remember exactly what you were doing during a mind blowing set. It's burned in your memory. The best djs create life long memories. That's the difference.
the best things in life often go unnoticed when theyre there. but when theyre suddenly gone, you get this strange feeling of emptiness that you just cant explain
@@masterbond9 yep it's like what people say about being glued to their phones. You miss the beauty of the world. The memories that DJs make are so raw and beautiful. It's almost like a great server. Your normally going to the restaurant because you know it's good. That experience is what keeps you coming back. Otherwise you would save money and eat at home. If your gonna be a DJ and not want to provide memorable experiences. Stick to changing tracks on your phone lol
🎉And this applies to everything in music. It matters to a trombonist, a guitarist, a cellist, a drummer, a conductor, vocalists and singers, and even musicians who don't play western style instruments like the sitar. It matters do them because good musicians always know what they're doing. Music matters, so knowing what you do matters.
Cool buildup! I’m sure comments in here hating, but at the end of the day.. when you’re at a show just vibing and feeling the groove, it’s the vibe that matters. We go for the experience not the technicalities of what’s going on ❤
I screwed up my first gig big time, had all these cool transitions ready to go and ended up just DJing to the mood. People still thought I was great, unless there's other DJs in the crowd no one knows what's going on up there.
Yeah but this is exactly what makes an amazing set. When everything is so smooth, even if most of the crowd doesn’t understand what’s happening. Every details counts. And maybe if you’re not famous, a DJ/producer etc could be in the crowd and sees your potential, maybe contact you later 😉
Ok, I recently just search "what does DJ do?" and I'm amazed how hard it is 😂 I'm sorry I was underestimating I thought it's just as simple as pressing play button, this is fire 🔥
Is house and d&b literally all the tutorials you guys do? Anyone know where to find fun techniques to mix bass music? Like experimental, space bass, free form?
On serato there’s a tab to cut out certian a parts of the song, melody, drums, bass, and vocals and it will isolated them, but isn’t perfect on every song
I h8 using effects like this during my classic/deep house/techno sets. Surgical blend my journey into time. I try not to do this craziness tho. Sorry guys.....
Wait, how tf did they acapella the track? Or did they use an acapella stem of the track? If the latter, kind of a whack tip since a lot of people don't have access to those on most songs.
Virtual DJ software has a Stems Engine, it produces vocal stems from any audio, assuming you have the processing power. It can isolate vocal, instruments and percussion, slowly with the turn of an equalizer knob (low, mid, hi) or instantly kill or highlight a stem, instantly. Serato and RecordBox can do this now also. Obviously it is a game changer for live mix DJs like me!

some do 😂
I would... Until I can afford a turntable and the classes t.t
You’d be surprised by how many DJs these days do nothing (excluding dnb and dubstep scene)
@@jaguarcosmos1583you don't need classes the hell?
@@rhythmridaincluding dubstep😭🙏

Cracking mix! 🎉

Accelerate - make a class with samples and slower steps and additional information for less experienced djs 😊

Thats dope! Very creative 👌
Creative when this is what James Hype does most of the time lol.
LETS REV IT UP
One of my favourites transitions! 🔥🔥🔥
"Don't mash the effects too much."
yeah, I'm a completely new DJ and even I knew that trans effect wasn't needed.
Awsome creation. Timing was impeccable.
Looks cool !
This was perfect! Thank you so much for the tip

Perfecto 👍🔊
Most people in attendance won't notice anything like this.

@@kitsachie.Yes crowds don't notice these things or little mistakes but every other DJs does and it is challenging.

Also no one in the audience cares. They just wanna hear the song.
They don't know what they're hearing but they like it.
Amazing tuto !!!!
Cool man love it
Nice, I’m too out of practice to carry this off 😅

I like to think of it like this.
Producers create
DJs mix what is created.

I think I wanna be a DJ & I am delusional 😂

Did you count the Bars before you set the „Checkpoint“ on Track B?
16
Tracks IDs? I wanna try this so hard
what controller is that?
Sound like me...Dope!
Excellent 🫶
Dope! Can I do this on a DDJ SR2 using Serato?
You sure can, it should be pretty similar to what he‘s shown
Great vid
Insane
Эта петля вокала, как ножом по всему чему только можно и нельзя)
What deck are you using?
Why when you play the acapella the track stop playing? Isn't just a sample?

Great tip
Does this work on other Controllers beside the flx series? Or eventually on Traktor? I Mean the stem Control
Yes of course, today almost all controllers have basic dj tools like loop engager or effects module
Is track 1 acapella cuz the track has music at the beginning then skip to a more acapella section? The song is made that way?
Super nice
These tricks are things old skool vynils cant do
What deck and mixer is this please?
Miss doing them little experiments as people say they don’t even realise it
What’s the name of this model? Seems pretty similar to my hercules impulse 200 but wayyy more reliable, seems like a good upgrade
Could have done with a quick rewind on the drop but tight otherwise
How did u skip to Acapella ?
jump to cue point at the start of song
Nice 👍👍👍
Fire
You never see dj,s doing this on live stages. Yes maybe you.😂
U was wondering what songs these were?
How do you set up the vocal/instrumental/drums only?? With the sampler?
You can isolate the vocals in recordbox
With the Pioneer DDJ FLX 10
@@johnnyvee1458 I actually saw a video of DJ Carlo where he had a link of the "mod" for flx4, ddj400 and flx6
I can isolate things on my ddj flx4 now :)
How is the looping being started by the same hotkey that filters voice
The 4 buttons directly above the pads, beat jump/skip/sampler etc. If that answers your question?
You just overdid it!
Really cool
Does key matter?
You are tallant!
❤❤
Can’t find the gorgon ID
accelerate! I didn't think to filter loops or interchange tempo

Unfortuanately we aren't allowed to do this in the UK anymore as it involves a trans effect
i can not be a DJ without being mocked for talking about transitions 💀
haha im a bit late to the party, but this made me laugh
