Todays video, High season is coming aand Palmy's Bar is trying to get ready to give it's customers the best experience it can so we decide to extend out the front of the bar with extra funiture etc to cater for a lot more people. Whilst shopping online i find myself getting scammed whilst buying new furnitue and as it turns out I'm not the only one this scam could be quiet sizeable as i find 4 others who have been scammed in the same scam.

Very sad to see all these old guys hanging around bars in Thailand thinking anything good can come out it
What’s sad about it they have great fun, better then staying at home in U.K. cold and bored. These guys are having great fun, he got scammed cos he’s not street wise, I’ve been to Thailand over 20 trips some for three months or more and I’ve not been scammed or had any trouble once, all I’ve ever had is great fun happy times and fantastic food, try it some day you’ll love it.
Whats sadder is so many chanels showing all there is to Thailand is losers hanging around hooker bars.

Sorry to here about your scam Buddy but it was a small price to pay for the learning experience But its good you stuck to your guns otherwise it could of cost a lot more, Great to see the bars doing well looking forward to catching up again soon👍

Good story. I must say it's the same in the UK get scammed off Facebook everyday 7 days a week.. Cars are the favourite items low prices. But so many people want at the price send deposits . Fake address and no car . Police are fairly good but nothing happens truly. So your story is familiar me ...

No idea how people are still being scammed in 2023.... it's happening so frequently its not funny.
Doesn't matter if it's 1023 or 2023... people have been getting scammed since Adam was a lad. Every passing year won't change this. In fact, the scams are becoming even more sinister.

My wife got scammed this week, via a BANK representative! - forged document, she transferred money they cleaned it out, this is in Indonesia.
Looking forward paying the bar a visit soon.
Avoid complicated. Never part with money up front.
I've being going to Thailand since i was 21 in 1997. Got married at 21 there as well. There is no way i would open a bar or even participate in the scene. My wife doesn't like it either.
We're just going to keep buying property to rent out in LOS and Malaysia and Australia. Why work?
Don't pay the ferryman( girls especially)
if you have thai friend. ask them to make clip in thai language. we the people wanna understand your case.
but keep it English if your English-speaking friend can help.

I have very little knowledge on Thai law, but I know that the Thai authorities DGAF about anyone but Thais (wonder if they would have the same stance when Thais are outside Thailand????). Anyway, that being the case, and assuming your partner is Thai, couldn't you get HER to lodge a complaint with the Thai authorities?
The scumbag needs to be caught, and taught a lesson he will remember... or he'll continue to do it to the next person (as you've already said, he's done it to a few people already). Not only is this criminal behaviour shocking, but it's bad for business: certainly doesn't reflect well on Thailand, and make it a place for Farangs with money to want to spend their money in the country. This, in turn, will have devastating consequences for the Thai economy, and the Thai people.

This serial scammer needs reporting to police & Fbook asap before another Fbook guy gets ripped off. Never buy or pay for anything upfront online….plenty furniture shops on Theppasit road & surrounding sois…new & 2nd hand. Lesson learned mate!!🤔😉🙏🏼👍🏻

Police will help I know a few high up list couple in family, they will help on scammer they hate them especially if he was farang they have him in paper in half a day they love those jobs easy , if Thai the con prob goes deeper and closer to u then u believe

Hi Greg, Thanks for the Vlog not to be a smart ass but I would never buy and send money anybody on Facebook marketplace without seeing the seeing and handling the goods myself No sending deposits I know I can be easy to get sucked in nowadays. Scammers are everywhere online especially but on saying that I just sold a complete car key cutting and programming package in Brisbane to a locksmith in Sydney on Gumtree. I went online to check out his business and call the shop at random spoke to his office girl they had no idea I called you really need to deal with genuine companies I sent him a video of the good and myself showing the goods and packing them. He deposited $2000 into my account deposit and then went about arranging a courier to pick the good up there was 4 very large plastic containers. I labeled all the boxes and he deposit the balance of the money straight into my back account before I the courtier pick the goods up. I took photos of the courtier truck and rego and sent it to him. He sent sent photo when the arrived in his shop in Sydney all good. I must admit it went really smooth so sometimes it does work. Just my story and opinion I will be in Jomtien in November hopefully I will drop in to say hello and have a beer. Keep up the great work Cheers Irish Paul
