I picked mine up for 3k less then the Vulcan lol and it’s a great commuter bike and I have gotten lots of compliments on the look lol I guess it’s all personal opinion , but to tell you the truth it’s so much better then the rebel but I haven’t ridden the rebel but it’s for sure better version of it !

And one thing I enjoy is it’s light 389 lbs if I recall and that’s wet so it’s not a hard bike to hold up also the wheel size is great for this level of bike ! I have watched 10 videos on this bike and not one bad review only thing is that it sounds weak but that’s been it but this guy hated on this bike from the beginning first it’s u hate the mirrors I adjusted mine and I can see great ? And it’s mirrors get bar ends if you want problem solved , the pluses this bike comes with in the 2924 model are so much more then say same year of the Vulcan s model , and the Vulcan is a great bike I feel like this isn’t far off as far as speed neither are a crotch rocket but for entry level of just a gas saving commuter bike it’s amazing hope you pick whatever you like and happy riding and stay safe
First you keep comparing it to the Honda rebel and how the Rebel is better but then you admit that you have never even ridden the Rebel. Fail. You tell us that you don't understand why Kawasaki built another bike almost exactly like the Vulcan but then you tell us that the bike is just a Honda rebel knock off. Makes no sense. Just as soon as you started riding the bike you immediately started talking about how much you didn't like it before you even rode it a mile. Fail. Then you start talking about how slow it is but actually the Rebel 500 has LESS horsepower and is less quick. I know people who have ridden BOTH the Kawasaki Eliminator AND the Rebel 500 and they say the Eliminator is quicker. Plus the Eliminator isn't trying to look like the Rebel. It actually is styled more like a Standard. That is why it has mid pegs instead of forward pegs. You tell us that it is ugly. Maybe, maybe not. Subjective. Personally, I think both of them look great just in different ways. Rebel looks more like a cruiser and the Eliminator looks more like a sporty standard. When it comes to looks they both are an aquired taste. Finally, just a little advise. In the future you might want to ride a bike for a few miles before you start saying all kinds of silly stuff about it. Hold your tongue for a second and think for a minute before you start blurting out a bunch of stuff. Make it look like you are giving a particular bike a chance even if in reality you already have made your mind up. I think you did an absolutely miserable job of this review but hopefully they aren't all this terrible.
Totally agree with your critique of the (so called 'review') my man. I'm aged in my mid 70's and currently ride a Triumph Speed Twin, 900 but old age is taking its toll on me and arthritis is creeping into my right hip, and the Triumph footpeg to seat ergonomics I find uncomfortable, so I'm looking for a 'bike that will allow me a few more (comfortable) years two-wheeled enjoyment (riding the country lanes of Hampshire in the UK). I did have a Royal Enfield Meteor 350, which was the most comfortable 'bike I've ever owned/ridden,, but my (relatively) local dealer ceased trading and there isn't another one close enough to make it a viable journey for servicing trips etc (especially in the dreadful rain we've had here in the UK recently). Having to compromise on my requirements, I've just purchased Gortex riding clothing so I'm more suitably equiped for rainy journeys ! I took a trip to my nearest Kawasaki dealership yesterday (17/5/24) to take a test ride on an Eliminator 500 SE (not expecting any sucessful outcome for a 'bike for me to own) but what a revalation the evaluation ride was. The Eliminator much more suitable (lighter) weight for my old bones to drag out backwards from my small concrete shed. As soon as I rode off from the dealership, all the Eliminators controls seemed natural to use and I felt immediately 'at home' The slip/assist clutch operation was light as a feather and silky smooth. . Initially I was having to filter through heavy traffic (filtering isn't in itself unlawful in the UK PROVIDING it's done in a careful and considerate manner). Bearing in mind the newness of the Eliminator to me, I was really impressed at the easyness of navigating through the traffic. What I found really surprising was how well the engine (which I knew from on-line reviews came from a Kawasaki sporting DNA) coped with just bimbling along in high gears very well indeed . Out on the open road the 'bike didn't disgrace itself either. I was able to choose whether to take it easy and ride it at a cruiser style leisurely pace, or wind on the throttle. Maximum brake horsepower comes in at 9000 RPM and max. torque at 6000 rpm (red line at 11000 I think). Those engine characteristics were a real delight and for the engine's low (451 cc ) capacity, it really came alive 🤓. The maximum speed permisable on our motorwars (freeways) is 70 mph and the Eliminator coped with that speed easily and with plenty of acceleration still to hand. There weren't any country twisties close by for me to test out the 'lane-riding' capability, but from the way it dealt with roundabouts I had no qualms with placing an order for the 'bike on my return to the dealership. No, the Eliminator isn't a sportsbike, but it has no pretensions to be. The Sales Executive dealing with me at the dealership was excellent and he said the Vulcan is such a lump to push around and get it back into the showroom building at the end of the day's trading he leaves it until the last bike to put to bed (and often suffers bruised shins from the protruding footpegs !). As has been highlighted more than once in this comments section, the reviewer for this vlog was biased from the outset. Of course one man's meat is another man's poison, so he's entitled to his opinion, but his critique flew in the face of every other review I've read (and my 'research' has uncovered a lot of very favourable reviews). I hope my blathering on hasn't bored you too much, but I just had to add something to counteract the origianal poster's biased drivel, so any potential Eliminator owners (not wanting to emulate a Moto GP rider) can latch on to some factual comments relevant to the Eliminator's design purpose(and from a person who is prone to complain at many things in his old age too 😂).
I've owned motorcycles since 1967, mostly Japanese models and four Harleys. I personally like the looks of the Kawasaki Eliminatir a lot better than the Honda Rebels. To me the Rebels looks like someone sat a motorcycle frame out in a field and threw parts at it. They are Ugly with a capitol U. All the Honda parallel twin bikes are ugly. The power to weight ratio is actually higher on the Eliminator than the Vulcan S. I sat on a Vulcan S a while back and it was very comfortable and I love the dash on the Vulcan S. But I also know the Vulcan S has been out for about ten years without any changes other than paint color and they did add the gear indicator in 2018. The Eliminator is a new design and probably will be the look for the future, well at least for a few years. I still like the Eliminator much better than the Rebels.
The Rebel is also not very friendly to taller riders. I was at a dealership recently sitting on many cruisers. On so many of them, sadly, my knees stuck up higher than the gas tank, but not on the Eliminator. One of the summertime bikes I borrow is my stepfather's HD Dyna, late 00s model. With forward controls, it is actually comfy for me. The Eliminator was actually a decent fit and I'm tall.
The Eliminator has better gas milage is lighter is a mix between a sport and cruiser it's got better ground clearance and the seat height is lower than the honda rebel I honestly kinda feel like it may be the perfect beginer bike also its not a knockoff actually Kawasaki's eliminator line is older than honda lmao its not even the same design or frame it is a competitor

I am quite tall, sat on an Eliminator recently, and found it to be a better fit than many other cruisers. Hoping someone comes out with all the mods that would make that bike perfect for me. I'd use it as a distance hauler for one person with some luggage. A replacement for my gen1 Versys 650, which is fun but so top-heavy that I've never seen any person be able to lift it solo. Batwing fairing, heated grips, bigger fuel tank, nice sissy bar and passenger sear, saddlebags.
I have seen so many reviews on this bike. This is the only one that talks negative about it. I mean a lot negative. Yes other people have pointed out about mirrors too amd i get it. But i do understand, these are your comments only. So thanks for being open. I personally do not like the look of Rebel. Also i have not ridden any of these but looking for one and somehow inclined towards this one. I am a beginner. Thank you
Riding position is much better on this one than the Rebel. I also prefer the looks, it reminds me of 80s and 90s japanese cruisers with that mean urban aesthetics. Sound is terrible, at least for a cruiser, I don't know why Kawasaki hasn't replaced its 180 degrees engine for a 270 degrees one, like Honda did years ago.

It is a bit pricey but still a great bike. It's ~100 pounds lighter than the Vulcan 650. It has mid mount controls which makes it more comfortable than most cruisers. Beginners can user half the throttle and not get over their heads. Experts can rev the snot out of it and have a blast. They also have an SE version with a small screen. Ride it like you stole it and it would be much more fun. Life begins at 11K rpm :) Oh, and it has a tach which most cruisers don't have. Kawasaki should have given it 3 spoke wheels like the 80s Eliminators though. At least they have a similar taillight which is cool.
Liking what I've seen of the Eliminator. My wish list mods are true forward controls and a bigger fuel tank .. batwing fairing .. luggage. I'd make it into a distance hauler for 1+luggage.
Kawasaki are obviously setting out to own the sub one liter cruiser market which is quite neglected, looking at you Suzuki with your perfect but sidelined V twin. I considered both the Eliminator and the Vulcan 650, the latter won because it seems to be a bigger more roomy bike. So there is quite a difference there, the Rebel was not even considered.
Thank you for your comment. I would recommend all of the homda 500s for beginners. And now the Kawasaki 500s are also good. If I were a new rider I would get the Aprilia RS 457. My favorite bike is usually the one I'm riding at the moment. The best bike I've ridden is the M1000R.

This. BIke is not slow and has plenty of power. I like it over the Rebel by far
