Useful Roof Rack Accessories on Land Rover LR4 Discovery 4

Hi guys! 🚙 Today it's all about how easily you can attach things to your Land Rover LR4 Discovery 4 MP4x4 roof rack and what accessories they offer. From an adjustable awning holder, to a holder for a heavy-duty jack, to adjustable mounting plates and a holder for sand boards, everything is included.
☝️ As I said, in my first installation video on our Discovery 4 I criticised a little that it is not so easy to attach things at first glance. This was partly due to the fact that no sliding nuts were included and I didn't realise they existed. But now MP Off Road Service has included them with every roof rack and fitting them with the sliding nuts is really simple! Well, even I never stop learning 😄

Interesting video, you filled a gap on the web because as far as I figured out nobody else described this. Watching you prepping your rig I wonder what your goal for all this would be? I already installed the MP roof rack together with an ARCTA vento tent which is using the whole rack but fits nicely to the rack, Installing the tent seemed to be difficult initially but at least it was easy. MP Rocksliders have been installed as well and some other stuff. This is all done for my upcoming 8 week journey to the Dark Canyon.
For the rack I‘m searching for nuts/fittings which makes me able to mount things to side of the rack. Do you have an idea?

Thank you! At the moment it's more about getting the car into a nice and technically good condition. After that, it should suffice for day or weekend trips for the time being. I don't know at the moment whether it will have a roof tent, as it can get very cramped with 4 people, even if you have a iKamper Skycamp or something similar.
I will try to attach the sand boards to the side using the awning bracket. However, I'll have to turn the holes on the sandboards by 90° or drill them again, otherwise it won't work with the brackets. What would you like to mount on the side?

@@notthatkindofachannel what I would like to mount ? First of all I need to put the 120cm long Auer Box on the rack on top of the tent, yes it ha an own rack. But I‘m thinking about how can I fix it. On the MP rack I would like to mount some more light (to have a chance to see if it‘s a bear making some noise or maybe wolfes😅 which would give me a chance to think about the situation I‘m in). And I should be able to activate the light with my handy or something else which should be accessible from inside the tent. And yes, maybe a railgun for this case needs to be mounted?😅 ok, forget the railgun for now. But getting the mounting stuff seems to be a challenge. The awning will probably an 270 Arcta one which will be availble by the end of april. They have a clever adapter for the roof rack but for the MP some adjustments need to made on the adapter. So number one problem is how to get the LED light left, right and back mounted on the MP rack. Additionally the rear camera needs to be installallef by replacing the tailgate opener by an opener whith an integrated camera which seems to be a perfect solution for a disco without the original camera system. Any hints would be good to have

@@notthatkindofachannel Yes I do agree, putting the tent on top of the rack made the difference, when driving round sbout 100km/h it is a bit of challenge concerning the quiteness …
