I really enjoy your content. I miss doing body work. 7 back surgeries I can't do it anymore. All I can is watch your videos now but it's a enjoyable watch.
That's the correct use of a gasket scraper. Anything but scraping gaskets. I think I've scraped a gasket with mine exactly once, but it's been one of my most used tools.
@@vehcor 100% agree! Most of these SIs have been totally bastardized by stupid mods, crashed, or abused. VERY few low mileage clean ones out there. The last generation of high-revving SIs!
When you first put that decklid on in the first video, I figured "surely he's gonna have to replace part of the quarter" because it seemed kinked down so far, and yet somehow you made it line up perfectly, amazing. The more I watch your videos, the more I really want to try this for myself, you make it look so enjoyable and satisfying! Thanks for the great videos!!
other than your reckless disregard for your own safety you are a very skilled craftsman again…. ignoring the flagrant disregard for safety love your channel!
Between the body file and the 2x4 panel adjustment I was reminded of my HS body shop teacher. He was total old school and I learned a ton from him. Thanks for the flashback Scott. I'm enjoying this build keep it up and have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Late comer to your videos but really happy that I found you a couple months ago. Appreciate your talent and expertice and your matter-of-fact commentary. The faces just add to the enjoyment. Hope to see more of the Mustang build someday. Have a very Merry Christmas.
Scott. You are the best in the business. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family. Another great video. Thanks for putting them on TH-cam.

It's surprising how costs rise when you have buy replacement Panel Clips so it's good to see you taking the time & trouble showing us "How not to lose copious amounts of Blood" removing the bloody things, good Video Scott. Hope you & The Pizza Delivery Lady, The Screamer, Apprentice Gnome & your Staff Gnomes have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Not gonna show us- yes! It’s like your giving us a Christmas present - after all we have stayed silent for so long ( and I’m not saying anything !)!! Merry Xmas!
If I had the chance to personally do this with a low mile example I would've done the FD2 conversions. But this was super fun to watch and I am enjoying all of these rebuild channels I have found today, yours being the 3rd
I was at a tow yard recently and there was this really nice Honda Accord in excellent condition. It had a rear hit and needed a left quarter, trunk, bumper, rear trunk repair and the left frame rail was slightly bent. It would be something that you could have easily repaired. Sadly, it was totalled with a Parts Title (Statutory Write Off). They total stuff like that here in Australia and send them to the junk yard. Waste of a good car.
I never considered buy a car that was previously in an accident, however after watching your work I’d definitely buy one of yours, it’s as good or better than new.
Good info on cutting the old panel out! I one time tried sticking paint on the studs of a panel and putting it on the new tailgate to mark the holes. I ended up putting it on slightly crooked and had to redrill some of the holes.
Heh. You should stop being so hard on the safety experts. I'm like, literally a car carrying safety expert and I ain't never gave ya the smallest bit of grief. Love the content as always Scott.
The actual safety experts are not the ones that have anything to say (they know it is a losing battle with me😂). It is the keyboard safety experts that have never done a minute of manual labor in their lives that feel the need to inform me and everyone else they see, on how things should be done in their “expert” opinion. 😂
That brush detail could work when using RTV on engine parts. Great tip! Thankyou! Commentary is great also. There are so many spot welds. I never did body/fender repair work other than to move something outa the way. No patience for it. Your doin a great job.

That deck lid panel bolt seems to be a common issue, rusts in place and tears out the nut out of the plastic. Also the key lock gets all corroded, and the driver door actuator/mechanism as well.
