This music video always makes me feel sad, that sad feeling you get on a Sunday when all your friends have left and its overcast outside, and you know you're not gonna see any of them for awhile, if ever again.
I just started listening to this song today and Blur a couple of days ago. I’ve known about them for a while and decided to give them a listen. This song… man… it has a weird affect on me. It gives me this sort of nostalgia for some reason, and I don’t know why. I’ve listened to it at least 4 or 5 times today, and I cried the 4th time. It makes me sad… yet happy. The song is just so amazing and then Damon and his incredible dreaminess just tops it all off. And Graham’s incredible guitar playing…and the “oooooOOooooooo” part. Don’t even get me started on the ending… thats everything for me . Maybe its that Damon kinda sounds and looks really sad in this video to me. I don’t know. The song makes me feel as if missing someone or something and its to late to go back it cause its all gone… its really really weird and sad and happy in a way and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! All I know right now is that this is one of the most incredible songs i’ve ever heard in my entire life.

Normally I don’t like slower songs, but Damon’s voice is just so good.
Lo mismo digo, aunque también me gustan esas canciones que son lentas, pero a la vez rapidas.

Was obsessed with Blur and this song 6 years ago. Glad to see that it's 2020 and ppl are still watching and commenting under this video :)
Edit: 6 years, not 4
I was obsessed with this song 23 years ago! lol
me too, obsessed when i was 16, 7 years ago
I obsessed with blur just now lmao cuz I wasn’t born in 1980 lol
I literally could listen to this song forever I don't think there will ever be any other song that makes me feel the same way this one does
This music video always makes me feel sad, that sad feeling you get on a Sunday when all your friends have left and its overcast outside, and you know you're not gonna see any of them for awhile, if ever again.
THIS OMG
THIS :(
You MUST be a writer!
It reminds me of those dark days when I can't score Heroin.
pretty sure it's about his break up with Justine
i'm going batshit crazy about damon albarn at 4am
i grew up with this song and i fall more and more in love with blur everyday
Me too! They're amazing as a band and Damon is soooo hot!
Now 03.43, close enough?
As a wise fan once said, "90's Damon is the most fuckable creature in the universe"
I don't want to even fuck him I just want to look at him.
Do you ever feel ashamed reading stuff like that back as you move into your 20s?
@@pigglesy i feel sorry for everyone who was a blur fan
Ewww. Perhaps when I was 14. He’s like a _Blue Peter_ presenter.
He is indeed :3
This music video makes me feel so many things at the same time
Omg, i need more 4k blur videos
They don't make men like Damon in the 90's anymore
Because it's not the 90s anymore duh lol
REAL everyone is so fucking ugly now-
20 year women and 40 year women are uniting to tell us regular blur fans that Damon Albarn is hot.
Sad. Times have changed
Think ul find they do
This song is a masterpiece, but Damon is the masterpiece.

the outro sounds as if radiohead helped blur write it, yet, its so calming
@@belle-fz3qnYESSS I agree love Radiohead and blur

Graham looks so precious and "coolnerd" in this video and don't forget those riffs. He's perfect!💕
Damon is such beautiful man
I also think so. And i'm a straight guy.
Alexandre Silva That's the single best comment I've read on youtube this year.
He looks glamorous when young, handsome when aged!

Omg his eyes 😍 I remember watching this so many times just to look at them
I just started listening to this song today and Blur a couple of days ago.
I love reading comments like these. I've known Blur and Gorillaz for so fucking long...i decided to dive more into Blur and today is my first time hearing this one. I love how dramatic this video is!!

I miss britpop: Blur, Oasis, Pulp, The Verve, Supergrass, Cast, Placebo, Space, Sleeper and Elastica.... I feel bad for anyone who missed out on this beautiful era. I remember listening to both Oasis and blur at glustonbury. fucking magical. I was only 12, but I loved it.
i hear you mate but there was a lot of my mates too obsessed with brit that they missed out on some real class american bands of the same era
Being a youngster from Asia I could only watch this on MTV when it wasn't totally shit yet.
Placebo aren't Britpop just to let you know
They are mainly from Belgium
And your missing suede
For me this song is a work of art
When 95% of the comment section is about how cute Damon is.

Well it’s because he is
L you are correct as usual
I mean,, 95% of the comments aren’t wrong...
Because he is 😍😍 too bad he’s 49 now, which is the same age as my father 😂😩hes still handsome even at nearing 50 though
We aren't wrong
Those eyes, my god!!!!
Graham really nails the guitar in this, he wanted to sound more like the American indie bands of the time and he took their style and just took it to another level
Stephen Malkmus is whom you’re referring too
What a chorus.
Damon is a truly great songwriter.

It’s so interesting to see this cleaned up clip 25 years on. We can now see the coke can and cigarette that were otherwise blurred out originally. Seriously though this song never ceases to amaze and drown me all at the same time. If I ever need to be reminded why they’re my favourite band I play this. Always

Lyrics:
Beetlebum
What you've done
She's a gun
Now what you've done
Beetlebum
Get nothing done
You beetlebum
Just get numb
Now what you've done
Beetlebum
And when she lets me slip away
She turns me on then all my violence is gone
Nothing is wrong
I just slip away and I am gone
Nothing is wrong
She turns me on
I just slip away and I am gone
Beetlebum
Because you're young
She's a gun
Now what you've done
Beetlebum
She'll suck your thumb
She'll make you come
'Cause, she's your gun
Now what you've done
Beetlebum
And when she lets me slip away
She turns me on then all my violence is gone
Nothing is wrong
I just slip away and I am gone
There's nothing wrong
She turns me on
I just slip away and I am gone
He's on, he's on, he's on it
He's on, he's on, he's on it
He's on, he's on, he's on it
He's on, he's on, he's on it
He's on, he's on, he's on it
He's on, he's on, he's on it
He's on, he's on, he's on it
He's on, he's on, he's on it
it's on me not he's on it

I love the way video casually starts with graham playing his guitar and looking directly to the ground
4K restoration is another great reason to stare at young Damon
talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it.
Love it.
That's one of my favourite Blur's song, I don't know why, I really like the idea, the atmosphere, it kinda makes me wanna sleep, I don't know how to explain it but this song is so great to listen to
Track was blur on another level. Sounds just as fresh as it did when released. More you hear it, the more you can appreciate how layered and brilliant it is -start to end. Ranks up there with the best classics.
