Great post guys, I "Stage 1'd" my old 2012 640d at 40k and sold it at 95k and was still going strong, no issues, gonna do the same again to my new 2017 GC also at 40k!
Stage 1 on my 640d was the best money I ever spent. Got mine done at gk performance 🙌. Although, I paid 18k 2 and half years ago and it's worth 10k now! 😅
Hi mate hope you reply, literally in 2 minds of a 640d and 140i, leaning towards the 640d for the looks and luxury but people say they are numb and dull to drive
After having both quite well versed here… the 140i is like a stabbed rat and feels unplanted in corners. It’s definitely overpowered on standard chassis. The 640d obviously doesn’t feel as quick but I wouldn’t describe as numb and dull at all!

few and far between in red! lots of the dull colours but they all hide dirt better I suppose! definitely remove the swirl flaps, if they fail they get injested into the engine and can create issues! £££
Incorrect these are the plastic flaps not the same as the older metal ones that destroy engines. The switch does stick intermittently after a while and puts into limp now and then, so I'd advise removing. Dpf is the best move to go with stage 1
currently celtic tuning stage 1 640d. trying to stop myself going NVM stage 2. downpipe - intercooler - remap. quoted around £1700. should be 400 hp and 750nm+. hmmmmm
Haha gets expensive quick right? I think you’ll always be chasing the numbers though and put other bits under strain. At what point do you stop and buy an M6 😂

I have had the 640d for year and a half black a head turner, I would say pound for pound best value high end car you can buy. Red looks great.

@@mrmotors_uk It gets a daily wipe down. I do find with a car like this it benefits switching the tyres between winter and summer ones.

Hiya mate, how much did you pay for the remap? Has it had any impact to your mpg?
Speak to CL Autos buddy in regards to cost buddy. Definitely better on fuel now. Previously I’d be 36-40 mpg on a drive, now 40-44 minimum!

There go the bearings..n57 twin turbo bottom end feeders even when serviced at 7k intervals. Ask me how i know.

Ayee it was doing 5.7 on dragy, the inlet manifold was full of crud, and not ideal drag conditions so there or there abouts
