- We travelled to Norway to see the Northern Lights. Our first stop was in Tromso a little city 350 km north of the Arctic Circle. we were quite lucky as we have seen for 2 consecutive nights the dancing lights above us. After that we headed south to Oslo for one night.
Big thanks to Tromso Safari, for the amazing Northern lights tour.

Hello from Turkey
Beautiful and mesmerising. What was your overall experience of Norway if I may ask? It's on my bucket list (hopefully one day)
Nice photos! Can I ask what are the camera settings you used to take photos of the aurora with you and your partner in it? at 18:13 time.
Thanks!
Wonderful video. I'm making the plan for northern light in Tromso and Lofoten and want to know the period that you visited Tromso in this video, early, mid or late Feb?
Hi it was late February, we were very lucky as the weather was very good.
Just tip if that's your main goal: rent a car and drive inland a spell. There are some small villages and things within driving distance that have a lot less light pollution than Tromsø does, and they generally have more clear skies. Coastal weather in Norway is unpredictable. It's also a big city by Arctic standards, lots of planes etc. The benefit of moving around is that you have a better chance of driving through areas with clear skies so you can stop and look at the aurora, and you'll already be in the middle of nowhere so no other lights. Just drive carefully.
Hi, you camera work is superb & glimpses of Tromso & Oslo is enchanting.....which date you travelled to Norway & with whom you have taken the northern light safari. Is iit a cable car one? Thanks
Hi thank you, we travelled to Tromso in February as we wanted to see the Northern lights. We used Tromso Safari for the lights tour. And for the cable car we just went In the afternoon till the evening. Just bare in mind sometimes they will stop the cable car if the weather conditions are not good.
@@sparaglione Thanks for the response
The biggest difference between north and south Norway are the trees. Proper trees down south rather than leafy tent poles.
If you travel far enough up north there won't be trees at all.

Hello! I want to go there but I have a daughter and my wife. Its a place that could be family friendly? like shops, restaurants etc? Trying to decide if we should go or not.
Hi, we have seen lots of families on holiday at Tromso when we went there. There are quite a few shops and restaurants, i guess they might be expensive. We brought some snacks with us from Home, the hotel gave us always free warm drinks.
Hello, when did you see aurora, i was there (Tromso) on 16 March after 8 30 AM but i didn t see the aurora
Hi, we arrived in Tromso the 4th of February in the evening and we decided to do a tour with Tromso Safari so we had more chances to see them as we were only there for 3 nights. We were very lucky as about midnight after failing to see them our tour guide made a last attempt and took as in big field with very little light pollution and we saw the lights dancing above us. When we returned back to the hotel in the early hours of the morning, we were so happy that we decided to do a second tour the next day with the same tour company, and guess what we saw them yet again, what a amazing light show. We will definitely return one day.
@@sparaglione Thank you for your response, maybe i will have luck next time
@@INTICE200 it is luck at the end of the day, as you need to have a good clear sky to see them, the best time to go in my opinion is in February. We went in Iceland a few years ago, the same month and yet again we managed to see the aurora.
I was there in December, I saw the aurora
Hello, what a nice trip !
What was thé date of your departure ? I want to go at Tromsø at the beginning of march, but i don't know if it's okay for auroras.
Thanks
We went in September if i remember well, March should still be okay for aurora!
what were your camera settings when you captured the northern lights
Hi, i used my Sony a7iii with a Samyang 14mm f2.8 lens. Usually i give it from 10 to 15 seconds, f2.8 aperture and 800 iso depending on the lighting i might add more.
Nice! Your videos should be seen by more watchers. Can I repost your channel without changing anything on the clean platform named Ganjing World? Thank you!
