Thank you!!
Brilliant.....
Absolutely stunning scenery......
Would love to do that trip one day..........
Thank you !
Would love to hear your experience whenever you go.
I'm glad you have video of the Thon Hotel breakfast. I went there 5 years ago with my wife. The food was amazing!
Omg that breakfast was so amazing. I felt really rich just being there. 😅
@@travelsbyanubhav Yeah, it was so crazy good! Also, I don't know if you connected to their WiFi from afar, but the Thon Hotel Wifi was so strong that my wife and I could connect to it by the Kiwi grocery store around the corner. I never expected WiFi to be so good. We were really trying to be as frugal as possible and didn't have much cell data. haha
Great drone shots and narration!
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Such great info
Thanks for sharing this video. I’m planning my itinerary for july, and this will help me. Greetings from Brazil.
Thank you for the feedback. Let us know how your trip goes!
My wife and I are traveling here next October. Your video has been extremely well done and informative for us. Thank you
Hi John, so glad you found it informative. Hope you have a great trip!!
Hi even me and my friends are travelling here in October.
Very useful 👍
Thank you for this great inspirational video! :)
I noticed you had quite a great weather for most of your trip AND also got to see the northern lights! What time of the year did you go?
Thanks Pierre! We were lucky with the weather. We were there 2nd-3rd week of april.
Wow Norway is a beautiful country and this is nice video shoot
I hope you get more like on this video
Thank you!
@@travelsbyanubhav welcome
Beautiful video. Stunning Aerial shots. The map navigation animation is too good. How to do that? is that by any app?
Amazing breakdown of informarion, loving the sequence of your trip, and seems lucky full of sunshine i really feel like curious what time of year was it
Thank you!
We visited mid april..
Thanks for sharing the video. It’s fantastic and informative.
Did you face any problem bringing in the drone into Norway?
Thanks. Nope, didnt face any issues.
Beautiful video and great trip information. Can you tell me the month you visited Norway? You had a beautiful weather.
Thanks Jocelyn! We visited 3rd week of april.
Excellent video.
When did you travel to Lofoten?
Thanks. We travelled mid april.
Nice video
May I know the month you are at Lofoten. Nice vlog bTW.
Hey thanks. We were there 2nd week of April.
Absolutely wonderful video. So glad I found this one. Norway has always been on our bucket list.
One Q - which Airbnb did you stay at in Henningsvaer? Looks stunning.
Thanks a lot Kingshuk!
Here's the link to the airbnb: air.tl/3njXqwfP
Thanks a ton. Can you also let me know the car company you used for rental and whether it was an electric or gas vehicle? We are planning a trip to Northern Norway this September and your information would be super helpful. Thanks.
Hi ,the video is very informative and usefull..kudos and thanks.
I need one help regarding drones.
I was exploring but didnt find much info on no fly zones is there any information avaible online? And what all documents required to fly...i will be carrying mavic mini 3 pro
Which particular section of your road trip did you think was the most scenic?
Senja was really beautiful, caught us by surprise.
Fantastic video, well done! Did you have to book all your staying in advance? Also was your trip in April? Thank you and can wait for your next video! ☺️
Thank you! Means a lot.
Our trip was mid april, and we did our bookings in last week of march.
I found this video on Lofoten very close to what we usually enjoy. Which time of the year did you visit this island ?
Hi Pooja, we visited mid april.
Thanks. We are planning Mid March not sure if it’s a good idea
There's goung to be a lot more snow.
Hi how is it going to be in october?
Hi! Thank you for the most wonderful video ever! Would you recommend driving from Tromso to Lofoten for 6D5N? We will be there 21-27 April. It will be our first time. We're so overwhelmed with options and struggling to plan the itinerary, looking to narrow down the best option possible. Would appreciate your advice! Thank you so much.
I think 6D 5N is doable. It will be a bit rushed but you can reduce touchpoints. One option is to remove Senja from our itinerary to reduce days. Another could be reducing time in Central Lofoten, and South Lofoten to be 1 day. South Lofoten is doable in 1 day, the towns are small. Best of luck.
What time of the year did you visit? Is driving easy during December?
We visited in April. I don't know much about traveling there in December but my assumption would be that december is a no go.
Great video, thanks for sharing, really helps to plan my trip for next May. - Can you please suggest a car rental that won't burn the pocket?
- And is it possible to do both south Norway and your itinerary part of northern Norway in one single trip?
Thank you, I will look forward to more itineraries from you ❤
Thanks!!
Norway is in general expenisve but we found hertz to be cheapest for our dates.
Is it possible to do north and south norway in one trip? - its possible for sure, its just going to be a lot of holidays and a lot of planning. There are so many beautiful spots in south Norway too and they are not close.
I would suggest sticking to one area.
BTW summer starts much later in non coastal areas so if you do South Norway do check if your places of interest are accessible in May.
@@travelsbyanubhav Thanks a ton for the advice 🙂
Excellent video!! I was about to ask you what month you traveled during but then I saw it was April from your travel ticket (that's a huge bummer to get that at the end of your trip). I'm trying to decide between spending most time in Tromso vs Lofoten in March (about 8 days total for Norway). I want to see the Northern Lights; Tromso is supposed to be better for seeing it with more tour operators/options though I know it is possible to see it in Lofoten too.. Do you think it's possible to do some highlights of Lofoten in 3-4 days, round trip from Tromso airport? I know it'd be a lot of driving but I don't know when else I'll come back to Lofoten in the winter (I definitely want to come back in late summer).
Thanks for the comment Rahoul!
You will have better opportunitiy of seeing northern lights in Tromso. But northern lights are also elusive so being flexible works best. If I was in your shoes, I would try and book things with free cancelation. That way if you are able to see northern lights in the first few days, you can extend your time in lofoten.
I am assuming you are not covering Senja.
It's think you will be able to cover lofoten in 4 days if you just do the highlights. It's easier said than done because the place is so beautiful and the days will be short. Make sure to account for the travel time back, it's a long drive back to Tromso and can eat up a day.
During our trip, the peak aurora activity was a few days after our return 🥲 but we did manage to see milder aurora. Best of luck with your planning.
@@travelsbyanubhav Anubhav, thank you so much for taking the time to reply!!
Planning has been quite a process, but so far I have 4 nights in Lofoten: 1 night Senja, 1 night near Svolaeur, and 2 nights near Hamnoy (near Reine).
The 2nd day (Senja to central Lofoten) will be long: 7 hours of driving (not including stopping for the sights). and I've accounted for the long 8 hour drive from south Lofoten to Tromso on the last day.
If you had 4 nights between Senja/Lofoten and had to choose just one place to spend 2 nights, which would you choose? I thought choosing south Lofoten was reasonable, though I'd be interested to hear what you have to stay after visiting. I'm visiting in mid-March so I don't plan on any long hikes. Mostly just want to sight see beautiful landscapes, fly our drone, etc.
Also, that is a fantastic idea about booking a cancellable place in Tromso. I think I will end up doing that.
Very Nice blog on remote part of Norway, what is the season , date you have travelled
Thank you! We visited in Spring (mid-April)
Which month did you travel? Beautiful video! this will definitely help us when planning our motorhome trip.
Hi Pushpa, we travelled in april.
Could you please share the name of the airbnb in Henningsvaer?
Amazing video! So helpful ! My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Tromso from 27th March to 3rd of April and we are thinking of spending 3 days in Senja as well ! The only thing we are worried about is driving, but from what I saw in this video the roads seem very well kept?
Hi Mira, thanks for the comment.
The roads were clear during the time we visited and we did not face any issues. Senja being slightly remote had comparatively more snow on the road than other areas but not enough to cause issues. I would still highly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle in case there is fresh snowfall.
This is a wonderful watch. Which month and year you visited? I am planning a trip so this info will help me in budgeting.
Hi, we visited in April of last year. Hope that helps :)
Wow it’s gorgeous. I love your video. I just came back a few days ago from Tromsø, we went to see the northern lights and they didn’t disappoint. Can you please tell me which month have you been there ? It still looks pretty snowy. Thank yku .
Hi there, we were there mid april.
Is this the cost for 2 people or just one person? Love the video btw, it is going to be very helpful for planning our trip!!!!
Hi Nitish, glad that you found the video useful. Its the total cost for 2 people.
Excellent information and video! What were your dates of travel?
We visited in mid-April (10-20 I believe)
Thanks for the video, we are planning a RV trip from Rovaneimi to Lofoten from 27th Apr to 10 May, and we are wondering if we should add Tromoso to our itinerary or not? Worried about roads and unexpected weather?
What temperature to expect?
We were in Tromso on April 17 and we did encounter snowfall. But it did not lead to any travel issues. By May, the snow would be clearing up so I think it's totally doable.
Low-key envious of your RV trip! Sounds fun, hope you have a great time.
😍
What time of year were you there ? Thanks for such a great video
Thanks Sharon. We were there mid april.
Beautiful video with optimum details. I am planning a trip in April, main aim is aurora sightings. Was it easy to see many nights of northern lights? Looks like the roads are not snowy, which is good. Thank you.
We had low KP index throughout when we visited in April. There was going to be a very powerful aurora right after our trip. You have to be at the right location. The beaches in Leknes are a great spot so would highly recommend visiting Uttakleiv beach even if the KP index is low.
@@travelsbyanubhavthank you very much for your, all the best to your future trips
Very nice Vlog!! Really informative .
Could you please let me know the date/month of your tour. Roads seems to be pretty clear. I’m also planning to rent a car but wondering about the road condition .
Thank you !!!
Hi, we visited mid April last year. Roads were pretty much clear of snow in Lofoten, but not in Senja. Hope you have a great trip 🙂
@@travelsbyanubhav thanks Anubhav !!!
Thanks for sharing this video. When did you visit this amazing country?
Hi there, we visited in April.
@@travelsbyanubhav thanks for your reply 😊
Hi - when did you go?
Hi! We went mid april.
was it difficult to register a drone for use in Norway?
It's easier if you have a smaller drone (under 250g). You can register at flydrone.no
Hi, thanks for sharing this video. Did it rain much in April? how was driving during this time? Was also planning to go there on April month but not sure if we can drive as we are not used in winter driving.
Hi there, we did not have any issue driving. The roads were clear throughout our drive. Would still suggest renting an all wheel drive. We were there mid april and we were worried that we might loose the snow. Lofoten starts losing snow because of the proximity to the ocean, there was more snow towards Tromso and Senja (more north) but nothing that an all-wheel drive compact SUV couldn't handle.
As for rain, we were blessed with sunny weather throughout our stay except for our last day in Tromso. I would suggest keeping a buffer day in case it rains if you have that kind of flexibility. Things might be closed on weekend (in Reine and Å) so make sure you check websites for spring schedule.
Hope you have a great time. It's a beautiful place.
thanks you! @@travelsbyanubhav
At what time of the year did you go? Which month? Thanks, awesome video!
Thank you. We went there in April.
This was beautiful! What time of year was this?
Thanks you! We were there in April.
Hi. Nice and detailed video. What time of the year was your visit?
Thank you! We visited in mid-April.
@@travelsbyanubhavCool. We are going in March Last week. Could you also please tell from where did you take the rental car. As there are many options ..
Thanks for sharing. What month did you go? As it is ok to drive.
We went in April. Lofoten was very manageable and we didn't have any snow on the road. There was very little snow in Senja on the road. To be on the safe side, i would suggest getting a 4 wheel drive.
Lovely video.
What time did tou visit?
Thank you! We visited in mid-April 🙂
Lovely video. What was your date and month of travel?
Thank you! We traveled in mid-April, 10-20 if I remember correctly.
Rare collection, great efforts. Which month is it?
Thank you. This was april.
Hi.. loved the video . Will it be easy for indians to drive in norway ? Keeping in mind the right hand driving .
Thanks Neha. Driving on opposite side can take some getting used to. It helps that the drive is to areas with less density.
Very helpful video. We are planning our trip and we are thinking about taking the same route. May you please tell me the total cost of tolls for this route?
Hi Sumedha, we don't have a seperate toll cost. Rental cars will have an autopass tag which pays toll automatically. Any payments made will be included in the final receipt you get after car return. Check the links below for more info
www.autopass.no/
www.hertz.com.kw/rentacar/reservation/reviewmodifycancel/templates/rentalTerms.jsp?KEYWORD=ROADTAX&EOAG=OSL
Okay. Thanks a lot for the information. May you tell me the approx value that you had to pay for tolls?
Norway is such a developed country and it takes 24 hours for a sim card to activate???
Here in Australia a prepaid sim card takes usually 5 to 15 minutes activate in the comfort of our own home or a postpaid sim will be activated by the time I walk out the front door of the phone shop.
Could you suggest some affordable car rentals in Lofoten?
Can we do lofoten hikes in May? Weather wise?
Snow would still be melting during that time so it's hard to predict specially with weather changes all over the world. If hiking is your goal, i would suggest planning in June just to be safe.
Hello! May i know which month did you go for this trip?
Hi Annalyn, we went mid april.
May I know which month did you travel to Norway
We travelled mid april.
Does the budget includes airfare ?
No, the budget doesn't include airfare.
Which month did you travel in ?
We travelled in April.
Which month did you go??
April
Its west or east in Lofoten, not South
Really good video production and narration. But how could you afford to eat out every day / night and even buy cake at the Tromsø viewport? Are you millionaires? As a swede living in Norway I can never afford to support a lifestyle like that.
That's a great question. We did not eat proper meals from outside for first 3 days and we were proud of ourselves, but after a point I start hitting that "fear of missing out". The idea that I am in a different country but I am not trying their food, and i am missing out on the experience.
We don't have the same lifestyle at home, i love cooking and cook a lot. But we allow ourselves some slack when traveling, knowing we will make up for the splurge.
Which month did you visit Norway? We are also planning a trip, but trying to avoid snow driving.
Hi, we visited in April. How much snow is on the roads will depend on the areas you’re looking to cover. The more towards the interior you go, the more chances of snow.
