    Oh no your stick blender! What a great experiment, sounds like it made a lovely textured soap. Hello to the lovely Boris. Hope your house hunting is going well. Thanks for sharing, loved the vid. 😊

    Apple cider vinegar soap! Cool! I always have ACV on hand. Agree… it’s difficult to force down 😳 But yes, there are benefits. One more use for it, if you eat something and you start to feel sick, (maybe it was older than you thought) hurry and pour 2 tablespoons into a glass of water and drink it down. It helps neutralize whatever was bad. In awhile, it will start to settle and you’ll feel better. It has helped me that way. Thanks for the video! 😀 Always nice to see Boris!

    You are so brave. I've seen other people make soap with acv but I've not. Did you try the end piece to see how it lathers? I would be very interested. I like the background you chose, does that rotary phone work? That was the kind of phone that I was raised with. It took so long to dial and if you make a mistake you have to start all over. Thanks for showing Boris, he's such a cutie pie.

      I haven't tried it yet but I'm planning to soon. I wanted it to cure for a week or so. The phone doesn't work but I also was raised with a rotary phone but not that one you see in the video. I thought they were so fun. I'm glad you like seeing Boris show up in the videos because I like showing him off, 😊❤️

    Hi Shonna, I make 💯 acv soaps ( called yoni soap by many but I don’t like the name so for me is “Her” since is use mainly for the private area. Again according to what customers claims. For me is just a regular soap with acv replacing the water portion. I also include acv on my shampoo bars and on my activated charcoal soap. It’s lovely. You should be fine next time with frozen acv. Probably your lye solution got too hot while you were cleaning your gloves. And yes the texture and skin feeling is amazing. Love your natural color soap!

      Hi hi. Do you replace your water with 100% vinegar? Also, what lie calculator makes provision for vinegar? Thanks much

    • @cliviascreations
      @cliviascreations 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@dafricathomas2686 I do replace the entire lye solution “ water” with raw unrefined acv. You use the same soap calc , just replace the water same if you are going to make AloeVera soap or milk soap replacing the water needs to dissolve the lye with acv.

    ACV is available in capsles from Bragg's. No more sore throat.

  • @brandnewmein09
    @brandnewmein09 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think maybe it’s softer because the vinegar may neutralize some of the lye, giving you a higher super fat?
    It sure looks smooth and creamy😍
    It did thicken quickly too😮
    Great job in handling it all so calmly.👏🏻

    Vinegar is an acid and lye is a base so technically they counteract one another but the reaction creates heat so it's actually not a good idea on your skin. White vinegar is a good grease cutter (aka oils) and household cleaner. Lyndapedia

    I'm sorry you had some frustrating moments making this soap. It looks like it turned out really good, though. How does it feel on your hands when you wash with it? I like a silky smooth soap.
    As for ACV, I use it as a clarifying hair rinse sometimes, especially when using bar shampoo. And while studies have shown some possible health benefits to it, weight loss, controlling blood pressure, and helping with acid reflux aren't among them. In fact, ACV is an acid, so it makes acid reflux worse. UChicago Medicine has a good article talking about it, if you're interested.

      I'm going to let it cure a week or so before I test it. Thank you for sharing that ACV info with me!

    Yes you heard right, keep vinegar on hand when you soap. But please don't use it on yourself if you get lye on you! That would just make the burn worse. You can however use it to neutralize any surface areas around you, counters, floor etc.. as you don't want Boris to walk in it. But only rinse yourself with cold water and the quicker the better!

    • @mikeellis4345
      @mikeellis4345 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, NO. This is simply incorrect. Vinegar/ acetic acid will not neutralise a lye spill. Lye/ Na0H is a very strong base on pH scale. Vinegar is a weak acetic acid on pH scale. You would need far to much vinegar to neutralise such a spill. Using vinegar will simply cause a sudden and very dangerous exothermic reaction if you add vinegar to a lye spill. Don’t do it.

    I only ever have a swig of apple cider vinegar if I have a sore throat or if I pour it in Maruchan Ramen to dissolve the bullion dry to make a sauce myself. Otherwise I only use it in general cooking. I'm surprised that everyone seems to agree it's awful when I like it in and of itself. Not in water though, nooo. Oh no! Your poor stick blender! Apple cider vinegar is good to put on your hair if you've been bleaching it because it will neutralize the bleaching agents so that it will stop lightening at whatever stage. It works with straight white vinegar too but apple cider vinegar smells better to be honest. Thou that begs the question of if the vinegar has any effect on the smell? Or just the texture?

    • @NezumiSoaps
      @NezumiSoaps  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's interesting to know about the hair bleaching. I couldn't smell the ACV in the soap with the fragrance oil so I plan to make an unscented version to test that particular question.
