Not only is he a master of the fretboard he was learning to master the the sound effects as well, in real time, what a pleasurer to watch the process and to listen to his creations, thanks for posting.
THIS is what I've been waiting for! An acoustic guitar with a looper built in. I'm sure the app also works on an iPad or Android tablet, which a lot of us have mounted on a mic stand ready to go when playing out.
Amazing kit, relative simplicity too. Pricey at what I saw, £1300/$1700. Obviously a personal choice but the basic acoustic sound is good. The speaker effect obviously has limitations, but impressive given that. I can't see how long battery life is, as new anyway. I do think the missing link is a mic added to the amplification, but maybe poss via the bluefooth input? Really impressive, thanks for the demo etc 😊
I wish all loopers would quantify the loop so that it creates a proper loop without the blank time and variable tempo. Other wise this guitar rocks, thanks Villa fellas!
Watched Dagan explain the Yamaha TransAcoustic Generation 3 before coming over here. He shows the phone screen's control panel app that Paul mentioned using as he and his son worked with the systems the night before. Paul didn't get much sleep the night before this video... Get some rest before the next one, I'm pulling for you! I'm with Quinton as I have an Electro Harmonics 720 looper that is old-style intimidating (Press one or the other or both foot switches to activate on of many functions that may/can be selected, record a track, overdub, delete, play, and channel Billy Blank, "There's More!"). This looper is simpler to start recording a loop with, and the upper bout tap switch is cool! Thanks from Coeur d'Alene... I should come over to see Jack Horner's dinosaur exhibits, and more...
The new Mk2 Hyvibe is now available. It can be retrofitted to any acoustic and has a better user interface and sound. Its around $400 but an awesome upgrade if your bored with your guitar and fancy an upgrade for less money than a new guitar.
very intriguing indeed. looks and sounds great, and all the electronic componentry is icing on the cake. Take away the electronics and it still sounds fuller than higher priced Taylors.
I was looking for so many hours for my new main guitar. I play a 100€ Squier atm and wanted to get a FG5X but now I have to consider this also as an option. How is the acoustic sound compared to other acoustics in this price range?
Kinda looks like they copied the Hyvibe. But the good thing about the Yamaha is it will probably be sold in music stores like Guitar Center so I can actually try it first before buying it. The way it plays is more important to me than the built in effects or looper. If it don’t feel good when playing it, it doesn’t matter if it has all the gizmos. I got all the gizmos in my pedalboard.
Ok but how do you use it live? I know it has a 1/4” jack, but how about feedback control? The volume dial is in the soundhole so can’t use my trusty soundhole feedback cover. The acoustic/electric I play now feeds back like crazy without the cover, and that is with using both the guitars preamp feedback suppressors. I really like the TAG3 but I have to be able to use it for live performance.
You’re wrong, if you can only afford one guitar then maybe not it but if you play and can afford different guitars is a great value. You have to know Yamaha. Yes I do have 3 Martins, a custom Manuel Patterson and 10K Huss and Dalton, so yes this is nice to have.
At this price point for a really nice, well built, Yamaha? How long do you wait? Like the last guy said. iPhone 17, 18, 19. Just enjoy it now for what it is. This is a real guitar. Things evolve and Yamaha are doing it. Yamaha! Since 1887
You’re just mad you don’t own one. The TA series by Yamaha is going on 20 years strong. This is just an upgrade. It’s not going anywhere anytime soon. They’re extremely popular and have been for years.
Yamaha is brilliant in their execution of guitars!

I had the original transacoustic and it was magical

Hyvibe do this since 4 years
Generally I am resistant to the whole LGBTQ thing, but this Trans guitar is making me rethink....
going to have to start saving up :) what a cool guitar for singer-songwriters like me :)

The looper "button" on the body is a very clever touch.
Not too pricey considering it is an all solid wood guitar too.

Good morning guys! I love Yamaha!
Trying to find the specs, and couldn't. Nice for what it does. DEFINITELY FUN. Looper helps me improve. Thanks, Quinton and Paul.
Ok, 25.7" scale, Spruce over Mahogany, 2.73" nut, unsure about neck profile.
@@texhaines9957 probably typical Yamaha neck profile which is good
1.72 nut, not 2.
Gorgeous.
i didn't realize how jacked the one guy is! nice job!
HRT.

Amazing, makes me want to be a better guitar player. Do you think there will be a grand concert version?
This guitar is meant for this old skilled musician yay thanks y to Yamaha

I would want a Martin like this but more amplified than sound effects.

Yamaha was first but no looper or delay
That high e string sounds like its fretting out.
Second review i think i hear it again. Hows the fret work???
How long before you get more in stock?
What does it sound like direct to tape / out the PA
quinton seems so intrigued with this guitar haha.

Probably fun for a while. But I fear it will contribute to even more loop based music. Do we long for that? I know I don't.
Nice!
Yamaha. Great but guys please ask. Where’s the left handed model ?
Wow😮
Super cool
Noooooo!!!! I didn’t want another guitar 😂😂😂
how long does the battery last?
5 plus hours

This is cool, but for anyone who loves this concept be sure to checkout the Lag Hyvibe guitars which do everything this Yamaha does and more.
Very cool
Imagine bringing this to a camp fire
😳🤔
No you can music out of it!!!!!
Save your money for a real guitar. This will be obsolete in a few years.
agreed..actually the guitar is good on its own...hate th efx
Base on your logic Apple and Samsung bankrupt long time ago
Like Variax that Yamaha bought. Should check out Enya carbon fiber guitar for 1/3 of the price.
