    Nice review. But one of the best features you didn't mention. The dot touch thing on the cutaway. Can be setup to be the loop stop. So instead of having to press the button on top on the 1, to set the end of your phrase, you can tap the dot. Much easier to get the timing right.

    I have 2 Yamaha acoustic guitars. One is the first guitar I owned and was bought by my mother for me. It’s a FG-160, 1971 model I think. My parents friends who played music every weekend called it a “poor man’s Martin”. Awesome guitar. My other is an acoustic electric cutaway that I bought 5 or 6 years ago. Can’t remember the model but it sounds and plays great. Needless to say, I’m a big fan of Yamaha.

    I love the idea of this guitar. I owned a Hyvibe a couple years ago that I ended up returning because it had bugs in it, and plugged in sounded terrible. I like Yamahas, I had a 12 string I played for years and it was great! But for me right now this tag3c is a lot of money, and the one thing that bothers me about all the reviews I’ve seen is no one has plugged it into an amp or pa. My main reason for buying this would be to play it live plugged in. So until I see some reviews with it plugged in, and hear how it sounds, or they have it available at a music store in my area to demo. I won’t be rushing out to buy it. Sounds great unplugged, but I have a couple acoustics that sound great unplugged, but sound terrible when plugged in.

      It wouldn't surprise me if it was just a pack made from a couple of 18350 cells or something as pretty much everything else is these days if it doesn't have to fit inside a compact device. Big problem with this guitar - what happens when you lose the bespoke charging cable (future expense)? Why haven't you used USB C for the cable so its easy to charge? The Battery that comes with it built in so you cant replace yourself, what happens when that fails (more cost)? but more importantly if you've got a gig planned and it hasn't charged you cant replace the batteries like with the original TA guitars. Great idea for a guitar but with stupid electrical implementation.

  • @radioraj1
    @radioraj1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Yes, this guitar sound great. But at the same time - it's very impractical: in studio session - all inbuild effects (echo, delay, chorus) can be made by studio tools with much better quality. You can't use this guitar in pub, or club gigs because of acoustic feedback. Maybe it is possible to use this instrument in small and very quiet premises, i.e. at home. But to buy guitar by 1700 Euros for home purpose only - IMHO delusional.

I had a Taylor k24ce and it was a 5k piece of trash. it took me years to finally dump it. I’ve played several taylors since then. Even the k14 builders v bracing is very unimpressive. There’s nothing magical about them. I’ve owned big baby taylors and gs minis and they are fine guitars. Even bob Taylor himself will admit his guitars aren’t the best sounding. Just the best playing. I’m glad you got a gem. If i find a Taylor i love I’ll buy one. But i never do. Everyone’s ears are different though. They are very beautiful though and work for some people. i only recommend them as live guitars.

      I have the LL-TA, the 1st gen transacoustic. I bought it looking for a taylor/martin, wishing for a gibson. Never thought of Yamaha, but the guy at the shop suggested it to me, and I was blown away by the feel and sound for the price, and that was without the effects. They are super guitars. Solid spruce, with rosewood back and sides, the equivalent taylor would be the 400 series setting you back 3k. Will be interested to see if these are as high quality, it looks like they have sacrificed a few features for the extra tech. The LL-TA has a torrified top, chamfered binding on the neck and maple binding on the body.

    What a joke! The technology inside will be obsolete in 3 years. A guitar should last for decades. Not this one. It will be unsaleable on the used market in 5 years.

      My TA from 8 years ago is still amazing. How the hell should reverb become obsolete beats me.

      @@4Chimney i only agree onwith the built in battery part. But if you don’t like that get the LL-TA instead. It’s incredible and will last forever

      Why would it become obsolete? Even without the effects, Yamaha makes great guitars.

      Just let others enjoy the "joke" while you can't afford it.
