I am back doing this again. When I first got the Bravo set up, the ATR settings all worked and I was very pleased.
However, after about a week, my #1 throttle, in flight, started slipping out of the notch and falling quickly all the way to flight idle. I moved it back, it fell again. Huh? It worked before, what happened? So I asked Honeycomb for support. They said to return the Bravo, but that never happened because they "lost" their shipping and supplier contracts.
Others say I need to redo the bindings, and I agree that is the thing to try. Not easy! I couldn't figure out how to totally erase my ATR profile, so I just tried to do as you did and make a copy or a backup. All of the bindings still showed their previous settings, so I would delete those one by one and re-bind them. Ha, I have probably made it all worse. It's very tedious in MFS2020, while using the bravo in XPlane worked perfectly. But XP doesn't have the ATR, and I am type rated in it. I find I am confused when you are quickly moving from New, to Assigned, etc.
How can I totally erase my previous ATR profile and start clean from scratch? I don't know if I have a hardware problem or a software problem, or both.

Hi Mark. Thanks for posting this video.. really helpful and got me about 90% of the way. My throttles are still having trouble staying in the 'notch' gate. I advance T1 and T2 and they get to the 62% of power and them jump straight up to 75 even if i only touch them a hair.. I have played with the sensitivity but that didn't do much to help, and i have no idea how the Deadzones might be able to work with that one section of the throttle's range. Assists are definitely off.. Would welcome your thoughts on how to fine-tune (if its even possible).

Computer settings are my weakness. I kept making mistakes doing this and had to repeat and of course stop and restart the video. Not that it is that difficult! Ha, well now everything works except I had the prop levers reversed and had to uncheck the boxes. Having the flaps controlled makes takeoffs and landings so much easier! Without CLs on my old Saitek throttles, the throttles kept changing the position of the CLs! That didn't work well.
I'm typed in the ATR from years ago and remembered little about it. Those were the pre-glass models. I think the glass displays are nice but in the sim, they are tiny. The altitude and course are tedious to set. But after decades in the 737, I am enjoying low and slow in the ATR, and I like the sound of those turbo-props. When the ATR came out I thought, well I'm typed, I need to be able to fly this thing!
Thanks for your helpful video. BTW, in the real airplane, we seldom if ever used Hotel Mode.

Mark, an awesome video. I wanted to pick your brains. As someone who has visual issues, I need to zoom a lot in the sim so in aircraft where the airspeed, attitude, VS readout isn't right next to the control wheel like in the Airbus and Boeing, I use key bindings where I can zoom into the PFD and then select airspeed, attitude, VS etc. using the bound key. However, after buying the ATR on Saturday I've not been able to fly it, because the usual key bindings that work on every other aircraft except Fenix, which isn't an issue in that aircraft: just don't work. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks, Graeme

Set this as you did in thhis video yesterday before seeing today (you definitely saving people time)... The parking brake can be configured with toggle parking brake to a Bravo Switch... I submitted two bug reports on no IAS/VS/NAV or other button functionality... Also, I find it is stupid you have to use Propeller Axis and Feather for the condition lever when there is Condition Lever Control Option... I agree and you should stop sugarcoating it, Microsoft who directly supports the Alpha/Bravo Software intergration NEEDS TO FORCE Content Creators to have FULL FUNCTIONALITY in their aircraft and using standard coding plus provide documentation for proper setup to work with their internal coding. MICROSFT NEEDS TO FIX THE BUGS OF THE INHOUSE SUPPORT NOW with no further delay and HONEYCOMB needs to earn their money they charge providing software to override and customize buttons like Axis & Ohs...... No documentation by the creator and people having to figure out how they coded the controls is RIDICULOUS... Expert Series Aircraft, I think not.... Will they force the developer to fix the buttons and dial functionality will yet to be seen but my guess is no... Time Microsoft fixes and enforces the Alpha/Bravo Controls Standardize Coding they certify as the "go to" controls and in-house support... Their neglect is getting really damn old.

I used your wonderful tutorial to set up my logitech saitek throttle for ATR. It works fine, excluded for the shut off of engine number 2 (right engine). The levers move correctly. No issue when I start the aircraft but when I have to stop the engine number 2 (number 1 instead works correcly when I put the propeller lever in shut off position) the shut off position apparently doesn't work. The propeller keeps on to turn. Is it a problem of saitek throttle and I should buy Bravo throttle?

Unfortunately the ATR is using local variables (Lvars) for some of the functions and not the default config assignments. Thus some functions via the Bravo are inop.

Although you use levers 2 and 3 for throttle (4 and 5 for prop) could i use 1 and 2 ( throttle) and 3 and 4 (prop).? Also do you think tca throttle is better for ATR because it has physical detentes apart from idle, as opposed to bravo just having idle and max? Great video, thanks.

You can use any axis that suits you.

To keep things simple, I configured nothing. Using the 2 engine jet profiles work fine as the condition levers can just be clicked with the mouse as they only get used during startup and shutdown. I then calibrate my throttle on the efb and I’m done. The flap lever doesn’t change the spoiler gets pulled off

Hello Mark, thanks so much for this tutorial on the Bravo! you save us so much time! :-) i have a question, i am having a awkward behavior on the reversers. After setting the throttle 1 and 2 in reserve i can hear a change in the engines but the lever in the sim will stay in IDLE and wont move to reserve... i am not being able to find what is causing this... thank you!

Thanks for your reply Marc! Ohh i didn’t know this! I thought I was having an issue with my hardware itself because I followed all steps in you video accordingly. Not even by holding the F2 key in my keyboard will make the levers go into reverse…

Fantastic video and everyone that I saw on the BTQ day, I would like to ask you a question, I have configured the BTQ as described in this video and everything works fine, but I have a problem and that is that when doing the Taxi the front wheel is It is diverting me to the right and I have to correct the direction with the pedals. My question is the following: could you tell me the data that I should have in the rudder sensitivities? The truth is that I don't understand much about sensitivities and I'm afraid to touch it and spoil it even more. Thank you so much.

    Hi Mark,
Is the PMDG DC6 configurable with the bravo T/Q I am guessing not although perhaps throttles? Can you use the Bravo Q to operate the DC6 or do you have change the throttle quandary to anther T/Q. Thanks Charlie

Hi Mark, I got my Bravo Throttle configuration to work. However, over the past two days, the throttle levers don't move into the reverse detent. But in the External view I can see the gages showing reverse indicated when I move them into the reverse detent.
Also, all the auto pilot knobs work in External view, but not in Cockpit view.

@@SimHangerFS Thanks Mark. I actually fly the real aircraft, and I must say that the update to the FMS is fantastic. It’s the best aircraft I’ve flown on FS2020 to date. Great value. I’m even tempted to add other screens. Keep up the good work Mark and everyone else who enjoy the ATR of flying.
