I flew this site as a professional operator right down to the bottom end (South Embankment) regularly for a good 2.5 years as part of a surveying task as a contractor outside of HS2 manning. It was interesting work to see the site develop from what was open fields to what we see now. I ceased to continue when the viaduct was pretty much in its infancy and not quite encroaching on the main road where you started off. Wow - they have done some development since! Great video, Mike at Denham ATC is a top chap and always welcoming / helpful with clearances. Although it was an M210 RTK I used to operate, it was all about mapping the site for various digital functions. Great video, keep up the good work :o)
The main reason HS2 don't want filming is because the Colne Valley Viaduct is being built in the inner source protection zones of water sources for public tap water. It is illegal to pollute the water here. The film shows several areas of pollution. You were filming near the Northmoor Public Water Source at the start of the film. HS2 has paid for additional purification works here to clean up their mess. The second film was from Moorhall Road where just next to the site you were filming from is the Blackford Public Water Source which has been closed due to HS2 since spring 2021. The underlying story is the negative impacts on the public water supply.
You can understand why HS2 is costing the tax payers around £65 billion because they must pay a large chunk of that money to the elite security staff they employ😀.
Too true. Pay them to harass a photographer. A complete waste of money, the whole thing. Would have been better to spend the money on local branch lines up north. Suspect another scam to give public money away to friends.
Brilliant drone shots....all in the name of public interest too. The men in orange have got themselves in a twist over something they have no control over!
The fact that these people believe you cant photograph a public project like this is incredible...where do they find these people? If you cant do anything else go into security i guesse...
It’s nit picking , but a ‘viaduct’ is a very tall bridge that spans over a valley , this just looks like a long low bridge over water , or maybe a fly-over . I like to photograph Viaducts , but I would not bother with this( and I would be stitching images forever😂

Bernstein v Skyviews is the test case for the photography flight going way back in the 70s . The following intimidation and harassment of the public not sure about , but that would be interesting if HS2 wasted even more money trying to prosecute .
HS2 LTD don't like what they can't control; it frightens them. Their fear of the public is enormous. But I am sure HS2 provide counselling to their staff for that

47:20 I've had enough of DJE whining about others taking his photos... the offended outrage is not funny, it's stupid. No more of this video for me.... and if the same thing keeps happening it'll be off the subscribed, and into the ignored box.
The reason they have to down-tools during a drone flight is because the professional fliers fly only heavy drones where it is illegal to fly over people, or at least recommend that you don't. They don't fly superlight drones which CAN fly over people, so they didn't bother to write them into their drone procedures. That's entirely on them.
They’re like lethargic zombies with an unknown ulterior motive , very strange cloak and dagger behaviour it really is like they were planning an attack of some description
That tipper was an 8 wheeler, pretty normal 3 wheels in the back, the 1 right in the back is a steering axle it's basically taken from the front and put on the back, it probably lifts up to turning it into a 6 wheeler for easier access to tight sites
Axle lifts to put more weight on the drive wheels for traction... Lifting the axle won't get you into tighter places, the truck is still the same length!!
I live near this crap and ride past it everyday, its disgusting what they've done to the local area. they even had vans with CCTV & speakers on them that used to shout out warning messages at you, they've taken these away now but used to scare the living daylights out of you when walking through the country park. DJE if you go up Moorfield rd there is access through denham country park, its around the back of the marina, you can get right up close to the action, they have a floating pontoon road that sits on the grand Union canal.
Great video, in time I've no doubt the companies that build these structures, bridges tunnels etc will produce their own vidoes, with drone shots of similar to yours, but no interruptions from security 😅
We don't really hear or see much about HS2. Apert from them being well over budget and all the negatives. Please do more on this. To me it's very interesting. And it's capturing history in the making. 👍. Great job.
