Nice bus. Love the chains. The dinette is neat too. Wife came out while I was watching (I have the big tower connected to our flat screen). First time she seen a FC.
Thank you, we have to humbly agree “They don’t make ‘em like they used to”. The new RV’s have a lot of flashy stuff (graphics, touchscreens, electronic everything), but often lean more towards tech than day-to-day function. No denying a lot of thought & craftsmanship, along with “It doesn’t matter the cost” business model at Wanderlodge created these beautiful beasts that are not only showing virtually no signs of degradation with age, but a surprisingly efficient layout that’s stood the test of time. Yes we’re biased, but thrilled & blessed to have one. Thanks for watching & commenting ❤️
Nice tour! Great to hear all the accolades for Tim. He is right around the corner from us and did some great work on my Dad’s RV last year. Tim Gunter is definitely a go-to for Wanderlodge owners all around the country.
Having seen it several times in person, we can vouch that the quality is every bit as good as the original Wanderlodge craftsmanship with a modern twist. Thanks for watching!
Interesting! Amazing how complicated these busses are. Hope I get to see yours someday, & maybe tag along. Gary said it would be fun to meet up somewhere in Oregon or somewhere for a week or two and explore. I still want to see the massive redwoods/sequoia trees.
Thanks for sharing the video ! We have a 2000 LX WB - it’s so good to see work that Tim has done I was given his name and info for a service on our aquahot ! #BeachNest
Glad you enjoyed it 😎. We’re obviously biased, but it sure feels like a better way to spend (notice I didn’t say “invest”) money on a durable classic than a modern rig.
@@Buoy4AK I always tell people in invest in family and experiences not materialism and I am a lot happier. And these buses are definitely a labor of love. I have learned to fix things that I never thought I could - or want to for that matter 😊
Awesome video, love the improvements and simplicity of this bus!! I would have like to see the swing out radiator, that is something I didn't know you could do. Very cool!
Thanks for watching! Not sure if we’re going to open the front for maintenance this spring or fall, but when we do you can bet we’ll bring everyone along (might have to edit out a few words depending how THAT goes 😉).
That was an awesome restore on this bus. It looks great for its age. The diesel generator is so quiet. We are considering a generator and this was very helpful. Thanks!
Thank you for another great video! I am broken down in Ravenel South Carolina looking for help trying to find someone to help me fix my 3208 belt issues! I have a Racor as well and messed up the bottom plug and need to find a new one! I am still on the look out for that hinge for the hookups for you!
Honestly I like the simplicity of the FC coaches, especially the '77 (and My Up-Vote for FOUR Headlight visors-LOL) BUT no doubt my Football Player Frame would like the room in the Rear Bathroom vs. Sidebath - FYI you can tell from the "sink" if it's a RB or SB as the RB has the angled sink in the galley (kitchen) helpful when looking at seller's photos as sometimes they lack perspective... The goofy thing is the 31'/33' had gas generators and 35 had larger diesel...silly if you ask me, because they all had 3208s after like 75...but I think it had to do with the larger a/c system. - his if you think I'm slow, wait till there is a hill sticker is true...but enjoy the scenery and smell the flowers...or you are missing the point!
It’s funny on those dang visors! We actually got a set of 4, struggled if we should put them all on or not, so asked for options from everyone we could. Ironically, a good friend from Indonesia (of all places) mentioned that quad lights horizontally should have 4, vertically should have 2. Made sense enough, & frankly it’s fun having the “other” FC driving around Alaska with a different setup 😎 Totally agree on the shower situation. My Scandinavian frame isn’t exactly petite either, so the extra room in the rear bath makes all the difference.
@@Buoy4AK You are of Scandinavian decent?...Naw...we don't have any of those in Minnesnowtaa...LOL! Ok well maybe? - Oh sure...I have family with last name "Lindo"...Ya, You Betcha, Swedish!
LoL! Our Families immigrated to the North Shore of Lake Superior & nearly all but us are still in MN! Obviously Alaska is our preference for many reasons, but not a whole lot different than MN in a lot of ways (personally, my theory is that Alaska IS what the North Shore USED-TO be 😉)

That is a great question! As an owner we might be biased, but it does feel like the price has been going up over the past year (although in this current market, what isn’t?). Even though all RVs have gone up, there is no denying that since one of the biggest TH-cam RV channels (KYD) started showcasing a Wanderlodge, that could continue to drive prices up. You did unbelievably great work Tim! Wish you weren’t 5,000 miles away or we’d be dropping the Buoy4AK bus off for some updates/beautification 😎
Tight haircut. Okay, back to watching.
Figured I’d “try” looking more classy (Jen said I need to try harder 😎).

Gotta admit, if we’re ever in a position to do a thorough remodel of the Buoy4AK FC, a similar dinette arrangement could be in our future as well 😎

Funny how cool it is to see these now that I’m more aware. Saw one in Kentucky last month.
Gotta admit, we’d be over the moon to see another (can’t wait to get down to a rally & see a whole flock of Bluebirds!)
