SO excited to see this! Just bought a '92 WB40 and I want to do a lot of the same - LEDs inside and out, add solar, update interior, etc. What a great resource for new BB owners- thank you for sharing Chris and Van!
Great tour, Van. Thanks to Chris for the show. Amazing modifications to the coach. Between the two of you, your coaches are fine examples of how to modernise these classic gems.
Thanks Cam. Chris made it easy. He’s one talented guy and his coach looks even better in-person. Bad part of this session is now I have a much longer to-do punch list before my Summer departure 😄.
This video is a real motivator for doing projects on one’s coach! Chris tells me he’s been busy this past year. So watch for an update from this upcoming Quartzsite rally in January.
Beautiful BBird ! Great renovation with some great upgrades. We have a 2000 Lx and it’s time to upgrade some necessities. Always a work in progress. Do you have a TH-cam channel etc of any of the upgrades that you have done ? If so I would be interested to add to my collection. Safe travels # The BeachNest
No YT channel specific to the mods. You will find several videos on the NoGasWelcomeAboard site that address a few of the mechanical issues I have solved. However, ALL of my mods to the coach are shown on the WOG. There are many posts that give LOTS of details there. I highly recommend a search with my NoGas handle and what you are looking for!
Forgot. Chris tells me we are going to do another video like the first one at this years Quartzite rally to give all the updates he's done. Look for that to be posted in a few weeks.
I've been looking at Wanderlodge as compared to other coaches; they look nice and I gather are a good alternative to Prevost; This one looks really nice., Not sure what years are better than others as I read the later years weren't as well constructed as older ones
Wanderlodge built an amazing coach and that’s true for all years. If one is handy and likes doing some of their own work on their coach, then there is none better. The WOG is a very active forum with many talented people who contribute their expertise to the group. For many, that forum makes owning one possible. Using a “plastic wrench” would be crazy expensive. The newest M450 with all the bells and whistles, would cost roughly 10% of the price of a new Marathon. So comparing them really isn’t fair. I can say that fitting into one of the cocktail Coach resorts is no problem with one of those (or my 20 YO M380) AND Chris’s almost 30 YO coach would be welcome in most, if not all. Try doing that with ANY other brand of motorhome that age. Good luck!
I just found your video and you got a beautiful bus. I’m looking for one for sale that’s in good shape. Let me know where I can go to look at one find one ky
Begin by determining your budget, then figure out how you plan to use the coach and where you will be going. Once those are answered, start narrowing your search down to used vs new and how much mechanically you are willing/capable of doing. For those with some mechanical aptitude a Wanderlodge offers awesome construction at a attractive price with construction built to last decades. IF you decide on a Wanderlodge model, there are all kinds of price points to select from. A great place to begin is get a user name and password established on the WanderlodgeOwnersGroup.com forum. TON’s of information there and YOUR education about all manner of Diesel Pusher subjects is on offer. I’m obviously biased toward the brand of coach I’ve owned for the past 10 years, but there are other brands that avoid the poor workmanship box, as long as you are careful. Do your homework BEFORE you even START going to dealers lots, RV Shows or visiting other RV sellers! All the best with your search…
Wanderlodge was a division of Bluebird and closed in 2009. Factory was right across the street from the school bus facility. They built coaches to last forever. Joke in our community is the we are all just caretakers for the next person who thinks they will own “our” coach 😄.
It was a pleasure giving you a tour! I hope it motivates others to invest into their old Bird!
Yes indeed. Since our little walk-around, know my to-do list has grown. Not as old as some, but the next few months of updating will be fun. Thanks!

Wow, that thing is sweet
Thanks! I have really enjoyed rehabbing it!
Pride in ownership.
Yes, and lots of talent. Looks better in person.

Beautifully restored/modified and cared for coach.
I have '95 SIDE isle, one of the 4 different floor plans. Nice job, Love the Birds!
Very cool! Side isle BB’s are rare. Don’t miss the Coach Tour video I posted yesterday. Thanks for watching.
Nice work!
Now if I could only get him to come work on MY coach 🙂
Love all the LEDs I'm going to do the same thing to our 32

To be young again. What a wonderful coach. Put my LX to shame.
I had that kind of energy 10 years ago. Now my projects take twice as long and 3x the Advil 😄
did you do video on the headlight install?
Not sure. Converted mine to LED about 5 yrs ago. Chris might have a recent video on his channel?
There are videos on my channel regarding this headlight install.
