You know why Basket Case is so good? Because it is a baroque chord progression that starts at E flat, then B flat, then C, THEN goes to a G before it hits A flat and that is a very strong change (whether you are actively aware of that) and as soon as it hits that A your mind is just like YES! Going to the G before A flat is important because your mind wants to hear the A flat but the G is one step down and it creates a pressure that is relieved once you hear the A flat. When I first heard this song, I thought it would be an Ordinary World or Good Riddance when I heard the start then the TRANSITION! It's truly a beautiful piece of art. It has Relatability, Transition into Somewhere Now, can be fast, can be slow but not for too long, and the message it sends the whole album is great to connect to American Idiot similar stories. Love it. 6. Whatsername I remember the song, but I can't recall the text. This song is one the damn very bests. It is VERY relatable especially for people going through a break up sometimes. Also it's a great way to end American Idiot. 'Homecoming probably would've been a better way to end it.' I can hear some people typing, but think about it. Wake me up when September ends should’ve at least been in the top ten, it’s one of their most emotional and human songs and has brilliant meaning behind it, you can tell he put his heart and sole into writing it and seeing how he wrote it for his late father is so emotional, when he performs this song on stage it usually brings a tear to his eye and when he finishes the song he points to the heavens, it’s incredible

So I have a history with this song, First song I listened to & favourite. When I found out they were one big piece... Also beautiful transition. Holiday has a good message.

I can relate to this song, I can relate to how Jesus would be feeling (Also why I enjoy American Idiot as an album so much.) it's fast, good transition from a song that seems relatively normal harless them you're just hit with a big oof.

It's one of if not the greatest piece of music I've ever listened to but can be a little too slow.

OH MY GOSH! When I first heard this song, I thought it would be an Ordinary World or Good Riddance when I heard the start then the TRANSITION! It's truly a beautiful piece of art. But I don't really see a clear message, no bigger picture unlike American Idiot &- well speak of the Devil.
5. Forever Now
The song of Revolution Radio that sticks out to me. It has Relatability, Transition into Somewhere Now, can be fast, can be slow but not for too long, and the message it sends the whole album is great to connect to American Idiot similar stories. Love it.

I remember the song, but I can't recall the text. This song is one the damn very bests.
It is VERY relatable especially for people going through a break up sometimes. Also it's a great way to end American Idiot. 'Homecoming probably would've been a better way to end it.' I can hear some people typing, but think about it. Jesus of Suburbia started AFTER the first song. Second to first (Or just... second!) well Jesus goes on a quest then comes back in Homecoming the second to last (Oh I see what you did) song of the Album.
Great way to end things, but sad.

It's the start of a protest album is what people say sometimes but I think it is so much more, but others need to see it or else it isn't if they don't understand the truth, then they only belive lies. Unfortunately there's nothing off of Warning, but my favorite track on that album is Misery, followed by Waiting, Macy's Day Parade and lastly Castaway. Even though it's probably my least favorite Green Day album, it's still better than any other album by any other band in history.

Wake me up when September ends should’ve at least been in the top ten, it’s one of their most emotional and human songs and has brilliant meaning behind it, you can tell he put his heart and sole into writing it and seeing how he wrote it for his late father is so emotional, when he performs this song on stage it usually brings a tear to his eye and when he finishes the song he points to the heavens, it’s incredible
