  • The Mazda 3 competes with a vast array of rival family hatchbacks, many of which are very, very good. Even in such impressive company, there’s a lot to like about the Mazda, thanks to its slinky styling, sporty character and affordable running costs.

    Just checked the underside of my 2017 mazda 3 and was shocked to find the painful truth. All bushings, bolts nuts and basically all the components are severely corroded because of lack of galvanised protection coating. This is a cost saving trick done by Mazda and I urge every person that bought one to chech at least the bolted connections from behind each wheel. Mazda seem to get away with it but this is dangerous long term for drivers who buy used cars(mine was brand new with 50 miles on clock) . I will troll Mazda on every channel to raise people awareness of the dangers they expose themselves to by buying Mazda cars. Thank you for reading my comment and stay safe.

      Is there any way to prevent this? I was looking to buying a 2016 used Mazda 3 with 50k on the clock. Appreciate it 🙏🏻

      My Audi A4 suspension is also rusty underneath but I will grease up critical points as both my MX5 and Mazda 3 are rusty.

      @@EverydayJesus7 yeah, don't live where it snows or drive a sh*tbox in the winter. That road ice treatment is nasty stuff. Doesn't matter who made the car, over time it will eat the metal. Makes me wonder if this guy is complaining over something Mazda has no control over.

    Nice review. The Mazda3 is such a great reliable car!

    The Mazda 3 is far better equipped than the VW Golf like for like pricewise. The Mazda will be more reliable and better to drive. Plus it's far far better looking. I know which one I'd choose!!

      @MsSashbar 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mazda should not be compared to a Golf really. It's direct rival is SEAT Leon. Both cars look great and sporty. The Leon is at least as well equipped for the price and is an even better car to drive with sharper steering and wider range of engines. It is also a bit more practical with more space in the back. But Mazda beats it hands down in reliability department.

      Reynaldo Vázquez I know what you mean, but sadly VW and "SOLID" do not come together any more with relatively unreliable TSI engines and DSG gearboxes. From that point of view Mazda is a much more solid proposition.

      Sashbar pfft mazdas interiors know match up to Audi BM & Merc, dynamically as good, plus Mazdas are provenly far more reliable than any of those.

    Vw - Mazda? had both, build quality of the 'Old Rattler'(Vw) I suggest, is not what it once was. Mazda everytime.

    It's a pity you guys don't get the 2.5 litre petrol engine we get in Australia. Mazda Australia dropped the 2.2 litre diesel with this refresh model as nobody was buying it. The 2.5 litre petrol offers much better performance although economy isn't quite as good, which isn't such an issue here with our relatively cheap petrol. Nice review btw.

    • @MsSashbar
      @MsSashbar 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agree. It beats why they do not sell 2.5 petrol Mazda here, especially now when diesels sales are dropping due to the new govt regulations. Hell, they do not even sell a 2.5 l CX-5... And I guess with new cylinders on demand tech a 2.5 Mazda engine should be quite economic as well.

    I had the 2009 2.2td mazda 3 and the torque was unreal. Could leave 'faster' cars in its dust at the traffic lights. 182bhp and 400nm of torque.

    Why does everyone say these things have a firm ride? I've just test driven one and am getting a 5 year old one as my next car and coming from a Toyota GT86 the ride in the 2.2d sport nav is like floating on a cloud. Yes I'm aware that a lot of this comes from comparison but I think people need to be aware it really isn't that bad, people do over exaggerate

    I might buy one today. 105k miles for 11k
    I already have a CX-5 just in love with this company at the moment because everything else on the market seems to have fatal flaws or just drive like refrigerators

    I'm between the Mazda 3 2 litre petrol 118 bhp and the Ford Focus ecoboost 1 litre turbo charged petrol 125 bhp. Can anyone give advice on what is better?

    • @japanluv
      @japanluv 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Gaffney 7 Do you wanna lease it or own it long time? The 1 liter ecoboost wont last you long. Mazda is underated and you can get it for a very good price. The 2.0 liter is reliable and will last long time. Maybe Im Bias, I like in the UK Mazda s and Volvo. Lots kf equipment as standard and reliable for a very decent price. Also go try them.
