I was part of the original crew as a contractor, I started on the tree planting crew during construction, and then transitioned to the watering crew for the new trees, about six months before opening those of us that were interested in being hired on were trained on every aspect of golf course maintenance, then I was assigned to the Pine Barrens crew. We worked hard to bring "her" to her full potential, we understand that as the first crew, we were part of something great, we knew that this course was gonna capture the interest of the golfing world in a big way, and we were proud of the work we did, all of the employees from management all the way down were passionate about what we were doing, I have since moved on, but I remember fondly those days, when you could take a moment and watch the sunrise on a quiet morning, and look out over the beautiful course that we had made together. I hope this will be another great chapter in the life of this grand ol lady, remember us as you play through, or set pins, you are also part of her story, remember that this is no ordinary golf club, she's special and always will be.
My Husband Has Worked For World Woods & Continues To Work @Cabot Citrus Farms He Has Worked Every Job Except Bookkeeping & In The Club House When It Was Open, He Has Worked For Over 5YRS, And Loves Every Bit Of It, He Is Anxious For All The Reconstruction To Be Done & Cabot Citrus Farms Opens Back Up For Business..Wife Of D D
Will be interesting to see how much is a full scale reconstruction versus simply a rennovation and modernization. I was a bit surprised Cabot did not go back to Tom Fazio to do the work.
I saw a few renderings online and it looks like a completely new take on the existing holes. The amount of bunkering looks extreme! I think Fazio was probably left out because his designs follow his tried and true formula approach and by the looks of it they wanted to go in a whole new direction.

My wife and I traveled from WI to play both courses May 16/17 2022. We will definitely be back when it opens again!
Glad you made the trip! Make sure and check out Streamsong as well on your next trip!
