I was at Cabot Citrus last week with 15 friends - we stayed in their cottages, played Karoo and Roost, enjoyed some great casual pizza on the 'Porch' and topped if off with an in-cottage Chef dinner. A great time had by all! I also had the chance to interact with Rick Kelso - actually more than interact, I had a medical event on course and Rick helped save my day! I can't thank Rick and the Cabot team enough for their exceptional service to my friends and I, and I am truly appreciative of Rick, his care and dedication to serving his guests. Cabot is lucky to have you Rick. You're a true gentleman!

Wow, Rick's story and the tribute to his late wife were absolutely touching. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful story TGJ. I can't wait to play Cabot.

I’m not sure how many times I played WoW, but I will say, it was many until my departure from FL in 2011. I’ve played a bunch of rounds at course all across the Tampa Bay region - literally dozens and dozens of great courses. WoW was unique and despite its declining years, I still enjoyed going there because the land was very special. The same way Black Diamond is special, and to a greater extent than BD, that Streamsong is even more uniquely special. WoW had enormous potential and everybody who knows golf that ever set foot on that ground knew how special that land was, and with the right circumstances, what WoW could become. It pleases me to see that the land has fallen into good stewardship now, and an amazing long lasting monument to world class golf will reside there. I’m old now and my game years are waning, but I will visit Cabot one day to see the land again and enjoy memories of friends, great birdies, and a few eagles. Cheers!

I am so impressed with the new design... it's playability and challenges... I have played their now 5 times since it opened again... I can not wait to tee it on the roost...

Cabot Citrus farms was my favorite new course I've played in 10+ years. What an incredible project.

Was there for a tour just last week. Think they are shooting for Sept for grand opening I believe. Even with the work going on, it's beautiful.

Great video guys... played both courses on two trips back in the day. Great golf but you knew the owners weren't putting anything into it.Cabot and crew will do it right.

And make it unplayable due to price. That was the best part of world woods, go pay $90 and play 36 holes with lunch at the turn.

I still find it amazing that the group running World Woods didn’t see the real potential. They had two of the top 100 public courses in the nation and yet the clubhouse was a disgrace.

Damn. So many sad stories like this as a result of financial crisis’, disease, death, chosen paths, and too many other things or factors to add… etc. Good story to put into the universe bcuz this happens/ed to SO MANY HUMANS across the globe. Wish Rick all the best in this world, esp the rebirth of Cabot, and a track that’s worthy of sticks wanting to play it. Bcuz let’s be honest, good golfers want to play HARD, TOUGH, PURE tracks, not EZ, let alone a track that has no bones, history, or some type of adversity in it. Hope to see this track be in the rota for good tourneys, or qualifiers in the near future. 🕊️✌🏽🙏🏽🤙🏽

I heard that underground caverns were discovered and the state of Florida would not allow a developer to dig down too far to ruin the ancient caves.

Great film. It's such a journey. I've played the WW courses and Karoo. Its great that they largely kept the Pine Barrens routing - it's still really good tee to green - but it's a shame they turned it into a bit of a joke with poorly designed greens and surrounds. It could have been amazing, instead it seems to have been designed for media attention.

Only played their once around 2010-2011 and you could tell it was a great layout but at the time it was not being kept up very well at all.
