I appreciated you defending her reason for not "just leaving" him. Abusive relationship are so hard to leave. The addiction to their love is so real and sometimes they convince you that no one else could love you

It's awful to hear she was alive for 8 hours after being scalped. What if she was still alive during Olga's initial pleas?!? The police should have helped immediately. They should have insisted on seeing her like they are supposed to do.
I don't think she was alive because her mom's intuition felt when her daughters soul left her body. Just my opinion as to why her mom KNEW something was wrong AT that time of that exact day.
That particular thought did cross my mind. Yana could have still been alive at the time, after all. If the police had demanded more strongly to see Yana then maybe they would have found her still alive. It's happened several times where a mother or other relative or friend got this bad feeling and was ignored by the police and others. Some of the time the victim could have been saved. It's sad.
@@mandy4898 how is that proof she wasn't alive? She could have well been alive except slowly succumbing to her injuries. It legit said she was alive for 8 hours
I'm just glad the tiny baby was with grandma, I cant imagine what that monster would have done to such a tiny defenseless baby. I'm so relieved shes ok. I'm sure grandma will tell her how beautiful and wonderful her mom was when she grows up.
Whenever Bailey starts to use family and friends’ descriptions of someone (smart, beautiful, always happy), they definitely die shortly after in the story.
I was thinking the first wife would be the victim but then she started talking about how the family described Iana and I said “oh… 😞 this isn’t gonna end will for her “
Olga should have filed a lawsuit against the Police Department for ignoring her the first time and then for going there to check on Yana and leaving without actually physically seeing her alive! She'd gotten cash from that lawsuit then waiting on Blake to pay up cos he never would.
Same, it makes me feel strangely safe. Like even if someone asked this of me, if I was in that situation, I feel like Bailey at the very least would understand
Basically a relationship involving domestic abuse is like being in a gang or a cult and wanting to leave it - and you’re the only member. So all the abuses endured by cult members (see: people trying to leave Jonestown) and gang members (beat downs and torture and sometimes death, but the “leader” has no one else to focus their attention on but their victim). I really wish I could understand why this concept is so difficult for people to wrap their heads around. I’m more of a product of this type of toxic relationship than a direct victim so I don’t know if that plays into it but I was 7 when my mom finally left so I wasn’t even old enough to understand the dynamics at the time.
Bailey, I can see how this reporting of monsters can get you down. But please remember you're not just a storyteller but also an educator. A lot of us have benefitted from your insights, and have learned to take a closer look at "charming" people, to think twice, to be skeptical instead of gullible. No one knows how many lives you have saved. We thank you and we love you.
i hate when rich men say this. the girl can easily flip it and say, “you only want me for my looks” i bet everything i have if Iana wasn’t pretty, he wouldn’t be with her
@@jjj7383h this reminds me of the marilyn monroe scene where she says exactly this in a movie. it’s 100% true. so many men demonize women for having “shallow” desires when they do the exact same
@@quickchris10 he can’t complain abt iana liking his money when all he did to win her over was spend crazy amounts of money on her. like u cant buy a woman a condo & a car & then complain that she likes u for ur money.
Thanks Bailey for the “Why doesn’t she leave” convo! Abusers break you down, one piece at a time. With control, isolation and dependency you literally feel like the Abuser is all you have in the world. Don’t judge, instead try supporting and understanding, and of course advocate the abused by providing a safe place for them. This a tough subject to tackle. And by opening up a dialogue, Bailey made it all just a little easier to talk and understand.
agreed. this is an odd comment considering the content of your message, but your picture is warming to look at. I am injured and can't ride right now, so it's nice 😔🌥️
I really appreciate Bailey commenting about how hard it can be to leave a toxic relationship. People make that comment all the time like it’s so easy. But then when the victim dies suddenly it’s a different story.
Right? As a new mother, with no ties or steady income of your own, you're not going to just up and leave the (extremely wealthy) father of your child just because of some relational issues, not to downplay the clearly toxic behavior..
I think people say this to feel like that would never happen to them. Oh I would just of left. When in reality people don't know what they would do until they are in those specific circumstances. It makes people feel like they have the control over their lives to protect themselves from becoming a victim. I always see victim blaming as a type of denial people have over how vulnerable we all are in reality. It's an easy go to, but really it doesn't help anyone. I'm glad Bailey is wise enough to try to shut it down.
It's so interesting that the police officers were able to leave without seeing Yana. When social workers on crisis teams go for wellness checks we HAVE to see the person/client/patient we are checking on as a part of our assessment and duty of care - we literally cannot leave until we see the client.
Should b a standard in every police department to have social workers and the standards described there in the original comment!! Unsung heroes that literally save lives! 💙
Blessed, fortunate, lucky, whatever it is she needs to count her lucky stats daily for the rest of her life. And if it was me, I’d take the opportunity to live my life to the fullest.
That’s really gotta be the worst. My parents didn’t get along when I was younger, and any time I felt close to one, I would feel I was being disloyal to the other - def has made relationships super challenging as teen and adult.
unrelated but i really hope bailey is feeling better, i know for a minute she was really drained doing these videos week after week. im glad she takes a week off a month 💞
When she starts talking about the “why didn’t she just leave” it literally made me tear up because she’s right it’s so hard to explain and she explains it to the best of her ability which I think is so true. Been there.
You and me both sis. Unfortunately being in toxic relationship is very hard to leave. It’s more of the fact you’re afraid of being alone more so but then again I can’t answer for everyone it’s always different reasons and if you haven’t been in one you wouldn’t understand but I completely get it. We are all human Edit: might I add I hope you’re ok x
the poor girl and her mother shes just left to take care of the baby of the man who brutally killed her daughter without him even showing any signs of guilt or even paying for child support i cant even begin to imagine and the fact this all couldve been avoided if the police just listened to her its so sad.
I remember this story. He scalped her and after that, she fought him for hours, she fought hard to get out. When her mum came to the door she was still alive, when the police did the welfare check she was still alive. He was an animal. I can't remember who I watched telling this story but I think it might have been Stephanie Harlow or That Chapter. That poor girl, I hope she is resting peacefully.
Wow, I’m surprised she survived all that but sorta not with the description of her character about being a fighter. No wonder there was a lot of blood around the apartment
@@altar_girl yeah I was confused about the motive too. My only thought was that he lost it and went insane or something when she left him. But I just don’t understand what happened what possessed him to call her over and telling her sorry he wanted to be with her… like how long was she over there before he attacked her? Did they work it out and then he attacked her anyway? Did they not work it out and argue and she just was like no no, I’m done and he lost it? important note: you don't have to wait 24 hours to report someone missing, especially if you think they're a victim of foul play. police may say this but this can vary depending on the department, not the law
In my state, they issue gold alerts for missing "at risk" adults within 4 hrs. So if they were upset/have a history of self harm, mentally ill or disabled in anyway. I really like that, as it has helped people be found before something happened, or after something happened but in time to save them. A lot can happen in 24 hrs, and I cannot believe the police try that bs.

I understand why Bailey takes time off because I started tearing up when she started describing the state of that poor girl. I had to pause the video for a breather. Whew!
I feel the same way, while most of her videos are by no means easy to listen to, this one really hit harder. Made me sick to my stomach in a way I haven’t felt in a while
The part that gets me is that mom might have been able to stop if the police Just Listened to her. She might still be alive if police just took women more seriously. (ㆆ_ㆆ)
What I love most about Bailey’s videos is that you can literally tune in at any time stamp and you’ll know everything that’s going on and you’ll know everybody’s name she’s just so very detailed with all these stories and I really appreciate it
He cut off her scalp and face... her BEAUTY. Her beauty that made her a living before he came along. And with him a narcissist, her beauty was likely the only reason he was with her since they were "opposites" otherwise.
Yeah me freaking out now because I haven't had a phone case for about 3 weeks now. I swear I'm not dangerous. My phone can only charge on a charging pad. I so need a new phone. Lol
Hey there, Bailey. You seemed really shaken up with this one, understandably and unsurprisingly. The way you phrased the PSA on domestic abuse survivors made it seem like you were speaking from experience. You go above and beyond to tell us about all these cases, and it must be hellish when a case is personal. I appreciate you. I appreciate your time and effort and emotional strength. I see you. I stand by you. I believe you, and I believe in you. I hope you're taking care of yourself. Thank you for all you do for us.
I couldn’t have said it better. It might also be something she’s passionate about bringing awareness to (maybe somebody close to her was a victim) but it really does seem like she’s speaking from experience and not just the heart.
I noticed her tone of voice changed when she was explaining how women feel in that type of abusive relationship as if she has experienced it herself and it was so heartbreaking to me. She's a strong person and I'm glad she broke free from that abuse.
I was was with a narcissist for 7 years, we had two kids, and yes, they absolutely make you feel like you need them, or you’ll be nothing without them. I’m out and safe now, but this could be anyone in a narcissistic relationship. So scary!
This happened to my mom, it took her 20 years to leave my dad (a clear narcissist) and she was the one providing to the house not him and even in a situation like that were they don't even provide financially they still make you think you need them and is super hard to leave them. I'm glad you're safe and I totally relate

Why do women almost always blame each other for a man cheating? Like, he clearly is not loyal and isn’t going to change for you. Poor Iana, may she Rest In Peace.
The fact that there are people in the world that are capable of things like this just walking around is so chilling and makes me want to be a hermit in my room chillin w my cat and never come out
Wait a minute . The cops come out for a wellness check and leave because HE says she’s alright ??? That’s what a wellness check is for . They aren’t supposed to leave till they talk to her .
Same thing happened with Gabby Petito’s case when they were pulled over a week or so before she went missing. Bystanders who saw him screaming at her at a gas station or restaurant they stopped at on the road ended up calling the cops on him. The cops caught up to them and Bryan managed to not only talk his way out of suspicion of abuse, but framed it to the cops that SHE abused HIM - AND THEY CITED HER. All the footage is on the internet if you search, but it just goes to show how much the ol blue boys club care less about the word of a woman…it’s sad and costs women their lives in situations like this.
I can’t stand the fact that she tried to report her missing and the police just didn’t care… :( just makes me so sad. I hope Olga knows she did everything she could
There's a reason why they call it TOXIC behavior. That poor girl.. This one's going to give me nightmares, too. I DID love how Olga, the mother, did all the right things, banging on doors and windows and calling cops and everything any normal mother would do to get back her baby girl! And that she had the insight to file a civil plea, which they won. But money cannot repair a family...
I feel so bad for the poor girl. And even worse for the mother who knew something was wrong and no one would help her. And then that poor baby who will never know her mother. Breaks my heart 💔
Your commitment to self care has inspired me more than you’ll ever know. I love that you unapologetically take time to keep yourself from becoming too bogged down with the heavy content. Thank you for doing what you do!! Ily ❤
I feel so bad for Iana and her family, she didn't deserve this BS. Also it breaks my heart that the neighbours didn't report her screams or anything during her hours-long ordeal. RIP ❣️
Bailey, “How do you have the time?” Bailey earlier, “So Blake just didn’t like to work.” Sounds pretty straightforward…no working for income= ample time for a wife, a fiancé and a mistress.
I love how everytime Bailey is about to laugh at something she stops herself and explains why she's laughing all of the silly people who laughs at the wrong time can relate. It's not to be disrespectful but it's like a nervous tick or finding humor in the worst of times to stay sane don't worry B we know you don't mean too 💯
I laugh through trauma as a way of like... breaking up the horribleness. Sometimes fresh trauma/speaking about really bad stuff makes me surprise/horror-laugh, too. It is hard to explain, but I totes get it with Bailey.
I’m just socially awkward and laugh or cry whenever I feel strong emotion I asked my therapist about it and she said it’s just a natural response to emotion it’s how your body tries to help you cope with it, something like that
Bailey I love you 😭 thank you so much for saying that about people in violent /toxic relationships. It is most definitely weird and hard and it does feel impossible. It’s legit brainwashing. Not all emotional abuse is narcissistic. Clinical narcissism is a very specific thing and there's been way too liberal use of that term on the internet lately. I agree that Blake seems like he has it based on him "throwing fits" and stuff (vulnerable narcissism), but that doesn't mean Bailey's abuse was that.

Ladies, please remember this: Yes, it is SO HARD to leave but it's even harder to stay. You are brave. You are strong. You are worth more than this abuse. I understand, because I've been through it and going through it again now. Making my escape plan starting the at the beginning of the year.
I think its just so sad that Olga knew in detail what that monster did to her daughter. I'm beyond mad, some people don't deserve the air they are breathing.
That’s what I was thinking. Like imagine you get mad at someone who’s in the same predicament as you, by the same person… instead of being mad at the person who did it! Like Bailey said, vile. However, I don’t want to be so harsh to say that maybe they didn’t learn a horrible lesson from that. They must have been pretty horrified by the news. Either way, I hope they don’t have that mind set anymore, and got the counselling they needed. I hope the mother is doing well most of all. I couldn’t imagine that happening to my child and having to raise my grandchild while navigating the headlines and court dates.
$18,000/month in allowance, the millions of dollars for the sell of his mother's two homes and $6 million from his mom's estate. I feel like no parent should ever split up their children. They should have shared custody of their sons, not one parent take one son and the other take the other son. I do not understand how they thought doing this would help their son's grow into productive members of socitey...
Agreed. These type of relationships are extremely dangerous. The isolation, gaslighting, manipulation, every type of abuse (emotional, verbal, etc.). The fact that Yana's (sorry if I misspelled) mother was there to fight for her is beautiful. My heart goes out to her and the family. 💙
First of all, I love that Bailey makes it a point to take a break and show us the right way to live our best lives. Secondly, does anybody else's days get mixed up when you don't have a new MMM video? 😂 Last week I just KNEW it couldn't possibly be Monday because I hadn't seen a new video; until I realized it was the 4th week 😬 back on track now... The fact that Olga was a foreigner (and a woman) probably factored into the police not taking her seriously. Honestly every time I watch one of Bailey’s videos, I always leave with a strong “f*ck the police” sentiment.
Sooo true. It always leaves me so angry and disappointed at the amount of people (a lot of women) that are no longer alive or had their life taken from them because the justice system is so horrendous
As someone who's been watching true crime since middle school, true crime burnout is so real. There have been times where I'm watching something true crime-related almost every day and one case can throw me off to the point where I don't watch anything true crime for months.
Yes this has happened to me. Crazy thing is you get so depressed and you’re not sure why until you’ve taken a break from watching it. I had to stop for months at one time because I’m such an empath.
Olga knowing where her daughter was and being unable to just walk into their condo is the worst feeling ever of helplessness. I got anxiety from the imagining Olga standing with the cops holding her granddaughter and telling her she was fine and to go home. Like, what?!?!?
Right??? Like, the whole time I was wondering to myself "Soooo... Where are the repercussions for the cops who brushed off Olga & failed to do a proper wellness check for Yana...????"
Yeah right like where are the police when you need the most!! Some of them!!! You know I think when you want to become a police officer you should have conscience! TO protect and TO serve - the people not MONEY!!
Few things make my stomach turn but when Bailey was describing what Blake did to Yana, I literally gagged. He is a MENACE, a beast, an absolute disgrace and a monster :’( Excellent storytelling and entertaining quips, as per usual though- love you Bailey!! ❤
I love that Bailey takes the time to explain how someone could stay in a toxic or abusive relationship. So many people victim blame before considering people's stories. There are so many factors that could contribute to someone staying in a bad relationship.
@hsweety hilton Hundred percent. My mom was my wakeup call for my last bf. She said he was uninvited from her house forever because she didn't feel comfortable around him, and that was the day I started looking for a way out. I knew he was bad, but the idea of her being like "hey, you're an adult and I can't stop you from marrying this guy but he's never going to be part of our family" was absolutely the push I needed. Parents just know, you know?
That poor woman, I want to cry. I feel so bad for Olga too, having to sit and listen through that in court about her own daughter, how horrible. I hope Olga shares her daughter's memory with her granddaughter and they can bond over her
I will say this as a woman that had an emergency c-section. This was horrifying for me; I teared up a lot during this video. I know the struggling of healing from that surgery and then having to take care of an infant on your own(my boyfriend and I lived apart due to our lease running up around the same time I went in labor 🤷🏻♀️). Also, she might not have had a bunch of her blood back from the surgery; I lost a bunch of blood and became anemic for the first few months after giving birth so that probably didn't help that he drained her any blood
I was anemic after my csection as well. It's easy to lose blood during the surgery. That likely factored as I was on iron supplements for months and had help, etc following delivery. Stress likely didn't help her heal.
I had 2 c-sections...first one was easy. Walking for the first time after was rough but I was up and walking outside the day after. The second one was way more painful. It was awful. Definitely not doing a third...lol.
The fact that he like had married someone was engaged and then had a side chick and said he loved her then literally killed her without thinking how the baby’s going to grow up this was more sad then like just how I normally react😭

Trauma bonding it real and intense and you don't even really realize that you're in it until you're free of it. I love Bailey for always calling out how difficult that situation is.
I’m glad he was found competent to stand trial. My question is: Why? As a mom and a grandma I can’t begin to fathom how Olga deals with the memories of what happened to her daughter. Prayers 🙏 for Olga and her sweet granddaughter!
Thank You for your comments about Yana and why she didn’t just leave. I had to see two therapist, just to breakup with my last boyfriend. He called me a month ago, after two years and I saw him. Then I realized he hasn’t changed and I deserve more.
Poor Yanna. I can't imagine the pain she suffered. I hope the rest of Blake's life is miserable and I hope the cops who blew Olga off are ashamed (though they're cops, so it's unlikely).
I honestly don't understand when women find out they are seeing the same guy and take it out on each other or in this case gang up on one particular woman, the man in the middle is the one in the know/owes their loyalty to you not the other women! Also, how do guys like this even get 3 women on the go let alone 1? 🤯
Women like Amanda and Constance probably see men as resources & other women as competitors. If I had spotted a gold mine which later got stolen by another person, I guess I'd be more angry with the person then that gold mine.
The only tiny thing i could imagine to make this less sad for Olga is that if she didn’t really understand English she might not have understood all the details of how her daughter was killed and tortured.
When you talked about toxic relationships circa 28 min, perfect description. Thank you for consistently putting words to things that can be impossible to describe.

Ahhhhh, how exciting!!!!!! Congrats mama!!!!! As a mama of 5 and birth doula of 15 years, I totally understand finding ways to count down the weeks and I wish I had had this one! 😂
Nat really. Many times wellness checks are completes hours upon hours of the call amde because they are placed in the back burner. Police try to run out the clock and many cases are not really followed up. Police don't have a mandate to do so.
Imagine for a moment, you have an abusive ex. You finally get away. The person keeps lurking around your new house trying to stalk you. They start calling you nonstop and then knock incessantly on your door day after day. That person calls and requests a welfare check - says they are your parent and they know you are being beaten inside the house. The person goes near your house and waits. The police show up. They knock. You don't want to answer. Could be because the toxicity of the relationship has trained you not to tell police. Or maybe you don't like police. Whatever it is, you stay quiet. Your roommate tells them you're fine. The whole time, the ex is hidden, waiting to get a glimpse of you. The police know they have no legal grounds for entering the home. So thry have three choices - (1) accept that you dont want to speak to police, note that there were no sounds of distress, and leave (2) leave now but follow up later if possible (3) insist on speaking directly to you, wait hours until you decide to exit the house for work, ignore the many other calls for help that thry are needed for, and end up with your roommate calling to place a formal complaint that the police are stalking and harassing you both because they won't leave. This type of situation isn't a one off. There is a reason that police have to walk a thin line between the rights of an individual and the power to knock down a door to check on them.
Also Blake refusing to come out because the police are "gonna beat him up" reminds me of the vine where the guy doesn't want to come out where the cops are because "you guys are going to yell at me"

YESSSS normalize talking about this!!! Bailey always does and it’s important to say. She also never tolerates victim shaming.

I'm glad Bailey is wise enough to try to shut it down.

important note: you don't have to wait 24 hours to report someone missing, especially if you think they're a victim of foul play. police may say this but this can vary depending on the department, not the law
In my state, they issue gold alerts for missing "at risk" adults within 4 hrs. So if they were upset/have a history of self harm, mentally ill or disabled in anyway. I really like that, as it has helped people be found before something happened, or after something happened but in time to save them. Few things make my stomach turn but when Bailey was describing what Blake did to Yana, I literally gagged. He is a MENACE, a beast, an absolute disgrace and a monster :’(
Excellent storytelling and entertaining quips, as per usual though- love you Bailey!! ❤
I love that Bailey takes the time to explain how someone could stay in a toxic or abusive relationship. So many people victim blame before considering people's stories. There are so many factors that could contribute to someone staying in a bad relationship.
Worst part is that she was probably still alive when her mom was trying to get the cops to go into the apartment the 1st time.
This actually made me cry.
That poor woman, I want to cry. I feel so bad for Olga too, having to sit and listen through that in court about her own daughter, how horrible. I hope Olga shares her daughter's memory with her granddaughter and they can bond over her
I cried so much during this video.
Imagine how her Mum felt?
And that little baby grows up without her Mama.
Yeah I had 2 of them back to back 10 months apart I lost 2 liters of blood too durin my first abd almost died.
ME TOO!!!
That is so scary. I hope you are doing well now!
I love when Bailey is like “remember that one story “ I’m like YES YES I REMEMBER 😆 we live for MMM 💕
Definitely!!!
I know, right? It's like we're all a part of the same friend group. It just feels really special.
@@loisreese2692 I know, I agree ☺️☺️☺️💜
I love that she makes sure to tell people not to comment "why doesn't she just leave" on the videos that involve abusive relationships.
The fact that he like had married someone was engaged and then had a side chick and said he loved her then literally killed her without thinking how the baby’s going to grow up this was more sad then like just how I normally react😭
Me : gotta go sleep
Bailey : hi friends, how are you today?
Me : nevermind sleep
*SARIAN* is my inspiration!! My mom said that if I got 30k subscribers!! She definitely buy me a professional mic!! *begging you GUYS alot* literally begging.!..
Hi bakugo
Priorities…I get it
Time to go to work
Bailey: hey Bozo
Me: ok I'll be there by 2 gotta watch this video
@@GH0STMIILK hi saiki k

$$$$$
I think they're usually duped by what a manipulative pos he is. But also, Constance sounds unstable, imo.
Women like Amanda and Constance probably see men as resources & other women as competitors. If I had spotted a gold mine which later got stolen by another person, I guess I'd be more angry with the person then that gold mine.
Buy them all condos
They see the money. Not the man.
The only tiny thing i could imagine to make this less sad for Olga is that if she didn’t really understand English she might not have understood all the details of how her daughter was killed and tortured.
Bless you! We can only hope!
I really hope so
Everyone understands pictures though 😭
Yeah you’re forgetting she had translators though
@@ThatCheekyBrunette you’re right I was just trying to make myself feel better by hoping she hadn’t heard all the gory details
When you talked about toxic relationships circa 28 min, perfect description. Thank you for consistently putting words to things that can be impossible to describe.
Officially using your MMM videos to keep track of many weeks I have left of being pregnant. Only 7 more weeks to go. So 6 more uploads to look forward to after today, including your skip week. Cant wait to birth the next biggest Bailey fan💜
congratulations!
yay!
@@BaileySarian thank you queen🥰
Ahhhhh, how exciting!!!!!! Congrats mama!!!!! As a mama of 5 and birth doula of 15 years, I totally understand finding ways to count down the weeks and I wish I had had this one! 😂
Yay! Congrats! 🥰
This is SO wrong. When there’s a wellness check, the cops must see and speak with the person. Totally inept.
You're right. The excuses given above may be true but they aren't right and are still incompetent
Also Blake refusing to come out because the police are "gonna beat him up" reminds me of the vine where the guy doesn't want to come out where the cops are because "you guys are going to yell at me"
Coming from a man that did what he did, too....like how. how can you commit such atrocities and still be the biggest coward
Exactly bc he is a coward. A normal man would never do that
No but fr his mugshot has given me nightmares 😭 his eyes are so wide and his smile screams satan
