Aspen Welch it’s not sad at all:) i really enjoy analyzing delinquent and criminal behavior, different types of crime and understanding the way different people commit certain crimes. At the end of the day, these kinds of people are a result of a poor childhood and throughout it being misunderstood (usually this is the case, but not every case) and I really enjoy being one of those people who understands them and their ways and also being part of the prevention - knowing what we need to do to prevent future crimes and making that statistic smaller.
I do not find it sad, although I have been doing this for 19 years and may be a bit jaded. It is mostly assessing for certain traits and diagnoses and creating evaluations for judges and prison administrators to decide what to do with people after they have committed crimes. People have sad stories but not everyone acts out against others due to their traumas. In fact, most internalize. If you or someone you know needs help, please reach out for help. The alternatives of isolation and/or resentment of others begins to shred at the core of what makes people human. This is when we see people at their worst, and what leads them to meeting people like me.
His dad wasn’t strict. He was just a normal dad that disciplines their child. If he was so strict he would have kicked his son out way before. And honestly he should have because it probably would have prevented a lot of this.
I mean just because you’re strict doesn’t mean you’re going to let your children out on the street. You have to remember that’s his child. I think he just didn’t know how to set boundaries ? Just a thought.
He could have been both. My grandpa was strict and demanding until his later years, but whenever my dad got angry and said he'd just move out, my grandpa would back peddle since he didn't want him to leave.

Hearing this story I have a lot more respect for my mom. I was a people user as a teen and my mom cut me out of her life. I now have my own house working 40 hours a week. Hey, just to let you guys know they never made contact or questioned "Sylvie" she is a real person and uses a different name in real life. They found information on her but never made contact. I also watched Jason (the eldest surviving brother) on the witness stand and he is such a sweet, nice man. I think his mum and dad would be so proud of him for holding up so well and representing his family so well. I believe the only reason Grant wasn't given the death sentence was because Jason told them that he forgave his brother and still loved him. This case is both infuriating and heartbreaking. Grant had all the love and support that anyone could need, especially with being in that type of situation. True! He might have been a strict disciplinarian but he had a soft heart for his children. He didn't even want to send his child to jail, he tried to get him confined into a facility to help him get better... Heck, if that were my Asian mom, she would have called the cops on her own child to teach him a lesson 🤣🤣🤣
