Well that explains a lot. If you actually read it, it's available online, there are sections on there that specifically pertain to the employees conduct on USPS property. That is a thorough failure of the management, that should be part of your initial training, annual brush ups wouldn't hurt either. I have seen some audits where the managers were ignorant of Poster 7 too, so, there are failures all through their system.

D, absolutely. Cheap consumer cameras have been around for about a *century,* and public photography has never been illegal as far as I can tell; it's never been a law in any state. I once tried to figure out where people get the idea.. couldn't find it. I've searched newspaper archives, historic state laws. I can find no mention of photography being illegal outside some WWII era warnings not to photograph military installations.
A quick lesson delivered to the Post Office workers. The Postmaster knew what is going on and it is a shame that after speaking with you the fellow public servants were not completely educated. However, they now have been put in check and hopefully that have seen the light. Good job as always.

You would think by this time the Postal Service would just send out a massive communication to all managers indicating that this kind of thing is legal and they should just accept it as it is. Geez.
When they ask you why you are recording, tell them it is the duty of every American citizen to monitor government employees in the course of their duty.

Officers need to be called out. Tell them they don’t want id to know who they are talking To they want id to check for warrants and appease their crack addition.
That's not always true... Check with local police/sheriffs first some post offices have submitted letters to local law enforcement giving them authority.... But generally speaking your right they don't have authority on federal property outside of situations potential or actual violence and other emergencies where someone is or are about to be harmed. Outside of that it's actually illegal for police/sheriffs to carry guns on federal property the same as any other citizen.
I’m glad that the post master was there and he knew poster 7 and your rights. That other manual should have walked with you to Poster 7 to get an education. USPS needs to hire you help educate the postal workers. I also glad that the one police officer was willing to read poster 7 too. What makes tyrant terminator the best is his professionalism. He’s so calm that he makes the public service employees look like the ones who are causing a disturbance. He Doesn’t bring up race, he’s very calm while also being very direct, has quick responses to the BS people say, he’s not afraid to call someone out when they do something sketchy or rude, etc. Him, Bay Area transparency , and big Nick South Florida accountability are my top three. I can’t stand watching first amendment audit videos where you can tell that the auditor is too scared to really say what’s on their mind

For whatever reason hitting the like button is a chore for me, I rarely do it even on channels I really enjoy but I've made sure to hit for TTA. I've seen many commenters say they think hes the best auditor out there and in my opinion he absolutely is! My favorite part about his channel and his style is definitely the follow through he does after his rights have been infringed on by anyone at anytime. Hes the perfect combination of respectful and "take no shit"

James DO a revisit here... give it a week or two before you go back. When I called in they treated me like shit and violated my 1st Amendment Right of Free Speech, Free Press, Redress of Grievances and that is all on the phone. They were unprofessional, rude, combative and yelled at me and refused services by hanging up on me intentionally. So I started the process of filing a complaint, informed the Local PD of the Felony Violations of U.S.Code Title 18 242 & 241 and ran a complaint with the Federal Agent Department of the Illinois Postal Headquarters. Then as a dutiful citizen I called the Local PD to inform them of the Felony actions of this Post Offices' employees. They will be sending an Officer there as a courtesy to inform them of their behavior. I used my recorded phone calls and your video as evidence to make the allegations. I did not press charges because their actions are lead from ignorance so I agreed to the Law Enforcement intervention to have the issue addressed instead of Felony charges placed. The local PD of course was surprised about what I told them and in the end Michael from that Post Office called me back directly to apologize and do his job. So I wonder if it will change when you go back. Just thought I would inform you.

More evidence that postal workers are not properly trained and are completely ignorant of their Poster 7 regulations, which is a shame in a Post Office that has two managers. As usual the police where more interested in finding out who you are than upholding your Constitutional rights.
Either the higher ups at USPS lied about sending emails to every office to ignore people recording in the post office or the employees refuse to read this email and be educated on updates concerning their employment.

Really? No one is going to mention the Post Master doing a decent job. Wow! Besides the employees not wanting to be filmed...they did "ok", Ive seen MUCH worse post offices.. BUT the manager is the poop in this stew... Arrogant, misinformed as usual, he called the cops!. TTA as good as he is, seems to be perfecting his style and maneuvers even more. I'm starting to think he's the new gold standard.

James DO a revisit here... give it a week or two before you go back. When I called in they treated me like shit and violated my 1st Amendment Right of Free Speech, Free Press, Redress of Grievances and that is all on the phone.
They were unprofessional, rude, combative and yelled at me and refused services by hanging up on me intentionally.
So I started the process of filing a complaint, informed the Local PD of the Felony Violations of U.S.Code Title 18 242 & 241 and ran a complaint with the Federal Agent Department of the Illinois Postal Headquarters.
Then as a dutiful citizen I called the Local PD to inform them of the Felony actions of this Post Offices' employees.
They will be sending an Officer there as a courtesy to inform them of their behavior.
I used my recorded phone calls and your video as evidence to make the allegations.
I did not press charges because their actions are lead from ignorance so I agreed to the Law Enforcement intervention to have the issue addressed instead of Felony charges placed.
The local PD of course was surprised about what I told them and in the end Michael from that Post Office called me back directly to apologize and do his job.
So I wonder if it will change when you go back.
Just thought I would inform you.

More evidence that postal workers are not properly trained and are completely ignorant of their Poster 7 regulations, which is a shame in a Post Office that has two managers.
As usual the police where more interested in finding out who you are than upholding your Constitutional rights.

Either the higher ups at USPS lied about sending emails to every office to ignore people recording in the post office or the employees refuse to read this email and be educated on updates concerning their employment.
