- Hey guys!
So this is a cover of a cover (yes, you read that correctly)
I stumbled upon @1xN 's version / idea / arrangement and I loved it so much, it almost sounded like a completely different song
Go check him out! / @1xn
Take care,
C-J

It’s this type of stuff that highlights why Meshuggah is so amazing.
Thanks for the kind words Nick! 🙏
I couldn't agree more. A great composition is more than complexity, scales and "perfection". Its someones essence passed down for others to witness.
One the heaviest metal riff ever turned into a stunning piece of prog/ambiant song. Thanks a lot!!!
My pleasure! I got the idea from 1xN, I wish I'd have come up with the idea, I just replicated his cover and tried to improve it and make it sound better. Thank you for watching 🙏
Excellent
Probably the best riff I’ve heard in a while. Like the end credits to a very eventful life.
What a fantastic description of a feeling 🙏 I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for watching!
ironic, i was just thinking this is the perfect song to soundtrack the beginning of life of my baby who was just born in the end of March.
I first heard this album over 20 years ago. I always felt this section was very special. You managed to transition this into a feeling that everything is going to be alright.
That a pretty great description/compliment 🙏 I'm glad you enjoyed it!
omg, this is so beautiful. i really like @1xN video, but your is really tasty. I listen Meshuggah about 29 years (yes, i bought None EP on cassette in july 1995) , an these covers make tears of joy. I play guitar too, and learn this song right now.
ps sorry for my english, just a russian guy here
Чувак... Спасибо за просмотр! Я так рада, что тебе так понравилось 🙏 Мешугга должна гордиться тем, что у нее такой большой поклонник, как ты.
The hair is standing up on my arms. Beautiful stuff, mate
Goosebumps are the best compliment possible 🙏 I'm glad you like it so much 🙂 Thank you for watching!
I needed to hear this. Thank you
My pleasure Raymond! Thanks for watching, and I'm glad you like it 🙏
I love the delay in the intro, makes it feel really spacey and gives it so much more depth and then how it layers up to the whole package, great work!
I didn't use delay, but I did use quite a bit of reverb though! I'm glad you like it 🙏 Thank you for these kind words!
I’ve always thought the original had a beautiful outro. Great job.
Same here! I fell in love with that outro. Thank you very much 🙏

I'll take that as a compliment haha 🙏 I love Massive Attack but didn't have them in mind at all when doing the cover though
Great stuff man!

Haha thank you for the kind words Romie! This arrangement is accessible and technically simple, I'm sure you could pull it off 🙏
@@CarlJohanRenault This is really different and inspiring. I applaud you for this I really felt every note. I’m at 10 months into playing guitar and got an 8 string for Christmas to play Meshuggah songs because they recently became my favorite band. Enjoying the hell out of it I’m sure I can with the acoustic my guitar teacher gave me.
Nice!
Thank you Andrew! I'm glad you like it 🙏
