Slurred speech is one of the most common symptoms of prolonged exposure to serious riffage. Don't forget to take breaks every 2 hours the next time you're listening to Immutable.
Thankfully Immutable is only a few minutes north of an hour, so most listeners are safe as long as they don't listen to the full run multiple times in a sitting.

What's insane is that many talented musicians can break down Meshuggah in many cool ways, however very few can make something as original as Meshuggah. I mean there are certain gimmicks Meshuggah uses, but the trick is how they make it groovy and organic instead of gimmicky and generic. There's a pulse to it rather than a beat, it just feels very much alive and breathing - while it also somehow feels super extradimensional and desolate. Great break down 👌
I love how you break it down like we're in a music theory classroom! So now people that aren't knowledgeable can actually understand what's happening within all these polyrhythms/meters.
I have never seen any other band that makes such use of polyrhythmic as meshuggah does. Feel like, that really sets them apart from most other metal bands.
Fantastic job on this Marzipan video, your playing is great and the fact you are able to break down those time signatures is very impressive. That polymeter explanation is brilliant well done. And people said homeschooling is of no use tsk tsk
It's also nice to see it called what it actually is: a polymeter and NOT a polyrhythm.
Homeschooling from TH-cam and Patreon for the win.
Undoubtedly influenced by Yogev Gabay's great videos explaining Meshugah polyrhythms. Check out his channel!

Many a band can play djent but only does meshuggah make it sound like you're communicating with some sort of extra dimensional being/ alien.
Groovy and organic?
This is some of the most repetitive and boring shit in existence
The vocals are criminal
other bands reduced things to gimmicks, but meshuggah is perpetually an organic machine of awesome. for me anyways

Probably best music theory lesson I’ve ever seen in my whole life, unabashedly.
