Meshuggah may be heavy as absolute fuck. But they also have a lot of soul. This song shows that
Someone who could only listen to the first 30 seconds of this song, get turned off by brutal sonic nature of the band, and discard it…. Well, they’d be missing one of the most heartbreakingly beautiful moments I’ve ever heard in music. This band and this song are gems.

This is one of the greatest moments in Meshuggah's songwriting. To build into something beautiful and melancholic from this song is beautiful. I just stumbled across this and I have listened to your interpretation of it so many times in a row. I love what you have done with it. I think that you could create your acoustic album in this style and I would listen to it on repeat for hours at a time. Love the emotion, the timing, execution and love for the original. Well done. I made the same connection, I think the timbre in combination with some of the intervals makes it sound like something off of Ki.
