I know ppl are not likings how stern he was with her but that was after she called his show while he was doing a totally different topic and she was provoked him on his show wanting what she wanted no matter what, he gave her the harsh reality on what 6 figures men are looking for in a wife

Good point, she actually said she didn’t feel like she could submit to anything other than a man who made 100k. She also asked him to rate her and rated herself a 5 before make up, even worse she said she wouldn’t even want her son to date someone in her situation but she said she felt like she was the exception. So there was a lot in that video and people need to watch the full session. He didn’t tell her she couldn’t get “a man”. He told her it’s unlikely she would get a certain type of man.

If character was based on bank accounts and income we all would be doomed. Monetary progression doesn't mean self-progression. Also, if you didn't have a stern father in your life, a masculine father in your life, you would think Kevin is offensive. Hypersensitivity is a problem in the black community due to lack of experience with masculine energy. He tried to talk to this young lady, who he is old enough to be her father, as cordial as possible until she just kept going, and ignoring his advice at the beginning with "buts" and false information about men. He gave her a stern aggressive response like most of the matriarchy in the black community does on a regular. We see it in our communities and in our movies all e time (like Madea). But when the black man does it it's too harsh and abrasive because it's the messenger and not the message.
How is it ok for Mrs. Pope who is trained to help people find healthy relationships, to admit that black women were so frustrating to work with she quit the business so she would not have to deal with them, can get so angry about one man who is not trained and who was frustrated spoke harshly to a grown woman, that Mrs. Pope can just lash out at black men? Through most of the conversation, the man was being civil despite how dismissive the 35-year-old woman was, but because he snapped at the end black men are insecure, hurt, and weak? A woman of God is not willing to try to understand where the man was coming from or understand why he might have snapped, because black men are not allowed to get upset or snap.
I’m around “high value men” 24/7. They have character and a reputation to uphold. You’ll never find any of them seeking validation off social media, voluntarily speaking volatile towards women for the world to see, or arguing with strangers online. There’s a world outside of TH-cam full of content individuals who value their peace of mind. Don’t let miserable people lead you astray.

I’m a middle aged Black man. The best thing I think you did in this video was to clarify what this whole social media thing is all about. It’s funny when I think about it, but I am not a “social media” type of person. And yet, it is so easy to get sucked in and before you know it, you find yourself taking sides on topics that have absolutely no interest in now because you have never had an interest in prior to now. It’s amazing how easy it is to become emotionally embroiled in seconds. Then, you find yourself in a mood that has nothing to do with anything even remotely related to your real personal life. I'll say this: When its time for black women to take some medicine I've noticed it becomes all about "let's find healthy ways of speaking and being respectful/uplifting in our critiques" etc - but when black men are taking their lashings nobody seems to say that, nobody says "ok let's speak to the men with love". Black society is very much into "tough love" when it comes to black men and black children, we can speak to those two groups as harshly and as boldly as we want. Its only when it comes to BW that suddenly it becomes about "love and understanding and empathy/compassion". It becomes about "building her up" but when yall talk to or about brothers there's no such similar sentiment, and its rarely "bashing" BM its "truth telling".
I feel you when you say "give them hope"' but the way black women speak about black men doesn't sound very hopeful or encouraging - so sometimes women have to give what they want (and this isn't you personally because I know youre an uplifting person whether speaking to men or women. But as a general matter BW on social media are not uplifting towards black men but they demand upliftment from the very BM they speak so harshly to. It doesn't work that way, you give what you want in return. And truth is BW believe they can speak rough to black men and black children but then you have to whisper nicely when addressing them.

Very true. I've watched quite a bit of her content. And while she's normally measured and reasoned. She seemed to reach a lot of conclusions that weren't supported by anything but the last few seconds of a clip that's out of context.

I watched the whole video. He was mindful of her feelings most of the video in my opinion. It was the very end, that was a little unnecessary. He told the truth though. Most women these days can't take harsh truths. She needed to hear that, to be brung down a notch. She wasn't being realistic.

The sad reality is Kevin Samuels is exploiting Black women for a quick buck. He has found a niche based on the pain and suffering of others and his greed and narcissism drives the train. As a Black man himself, he is very much aware of the trauma and unhealthy choices made in the Black community ( due to unhealed pain) and still chooses to exploit instead of heal. It would of course require him to heal himself first which he has not done. He makes many references to his single mother, being raised in a female dominant household ( I think gramma was there too) and his failed marriages. It’s obvious that he has disdain for Black women. There is no evidence of his success in the real world and because so many people don’t understand the importance of checking the source, they take what he says as fact. I find it amusing that he believes that his next wife ( after seeing his true nature on social media) will be this amazing person ( he has stated that she will be gorgeous, smart, successful etc) who will be ok with a man such as himself. Kevin is a man who was told that he was unattractive, unwanted, and unloved. His platform is his revenge. That’s all it is. What he fails to realize is there is a consequence for every act.

Its so funny how people are judging I think I see a lot of men in here chatting. She's coming from a place as parent (etc) and she explaining her video.....but people still hold on to her past like people hold on to a man who went to jail in the past and think of him as the same person (which isn't true.. people do change for the good or bad). People can take what you say and twist it to benefit them. She said SOME women are disillusioned..... just like SOME man are disillusioned, and SOME people are disillusioned. What she felt when she was a coach can change or maybe she saw something in the women's face. We are all going to die is one fact that no one can dispute. I've had aunts that had these superficial requirements waiting on tall, light-skinned men with wavy hair to come choose them for companions. Fast forward December 2020 they call me to come take them to the pharmacy to pick up their high blood pressure medicine, real talk. My grandma used to speak to them in a harsh tone regarding messing a round with a lot of men but they did not listen. So it does not matter what tone you use for SOME people their delusion is too strong to reprogram their thinking. The lady in KS video said she could not submit to a man making less than six figure. So she just threw out 90% of men. Feeling sorry for the lady in the video but not having sympathy for the 90% of men she felt was lower than her is hypocritical. You reap what you sow in this life and no one can escape that. If one or two cursewords can trigger ""I did not like his tone or he degraded her "" response , the black community is headed for destruction. My question would be is it tone or is it delusion? Because delusion is much more destructive to the black community than someones tone.

I’m goina have to be really honest here. I hear him loud and clear. I understand his point of view. However most of the time, he claims it’s “black women” that has these delusions. I am a born and raised Caribbean woman. I am Trinidadian. And I came to America when I was 12 years old & Ive come to realize their is a divide in the African American community, not black, just African American community. African American man and woman never seem to have each other backs. There is no love. African American men blame African American women for their behaviors but are also the cause of it and vice versa. When accountability and self awareness is involved then the homes will get better. But until then we will always be dominated in America. Just my honest opinion from someone who grew up in a different limelight.
Neither side will ever get it through their heads. Always looking for a way to place blame on the other side instead of finding a way to heal.

To be fair Rebecca, Kevin forewarned her that she was calling asking for something off the beaten path/off topic. And that he preferred not to go down this road with her, he did say ideally she'd be better off hitting him up privately for a 1 on 1 consult. That way he could be as candid with her as possible. She didn't heed this warning - I've seen the show a few times and when women ask him for something as personal as how attractive they are or where they rank he often cautions them he'd rather have a conservation like that in a private setting...because 5k people watching isn't very conducive to hearing someone's comprehensive, candid assessment of you. These women waive the option of a private 1 on 1 (I suspect because they have to pay for it) and instead opt to hear him render an opinion publicly in front of an audience. If we're being honest they call in because its free of charge and the private consults cost.

I have had conversations with my family and friends about how dysfunctional and divisive the black community has become. Many factors at play of course. I questioned if BM and BW even like each other, let alone love. I see examples, you and Mr. Pope included, of loving couples, but it seems like you all are now the exception and not the norm. I tried dating someone that told me she was a womanist. Didn't know what that was, but it didn't work out. It's rough out here. I love my peace too much. Honestly, not sure if I have the willingness or patience.
Idk. I always tell people you have to change your perspective. Sometimes we have to look at changing the type of people we date and how we date. We also need to be consumed with a full and whole relationship with Christ first, we also need to seek real healing from past pain and heartache, focus on doing a new hobby, and so on and so forth.

That 35 year old woman told Kevin that she was average looking in the face. She rated herself a 5 out of 10 before he repeated what she said about herself. She also stated that she can't submit to a man that makes less than six figures and that average men are beneath her and she doesn't want to date-down. He told her that she would die alone "because" she doesn't think the men that she qualifies for are good enough. You all tend to leave the because out of the conversation. If six figure men are not showing her any interest and she continues to look down on the men that she qualifies for, she will die alone. If I turned down every woman that I qualified for because I only want Rihanna, I would die alone too. It's common sense. Telling a woman the truth is considered "bashing" or "toxic masculinity" in Western societies. That is why their delusion and unrealistic expectations run so deep. Accountability is optional I guess. Well, not for men.

I’ve watched some of Kevin’s videos but I had to step away because that is not my mindset. I’m not saying the brother doesn’t have valid points at times but I have to agree with RLP that delivery is key. The last part of the video was particularly hard to watch because I immediately thought about how I would feel if he spoke to my daughter that way. I would be furious and my immediate reaction would be to protect her REGARDLESS of what she said or did prior to that. I think part of the problem here is most black men are not standing up protecting our black women. They are being attacked from all sides and we can’t stand by and allow that. I know we get attacked too but we are men and we can handle it. Black men have to start holding other black men accountable when they mistreat black women instead of turning a blind eye talking about what they think she deserved.
The other part is black men have to understand that most black women have been traumatized at some point in their lives. Trying to see it through their eyes, maybe it started off with her being talked to just like in this video (basically being verbally abused) by a father, uncle, boyfriend, etc. That verbal abuse eventually led to physical abuse, sexual abuse, etc. I can understand that is why this video was so triggering for so many. These channels seek to divide rather than unify. I agree with RLP that our community has to HEAL.

"For every woman who is unrealistic there is one who has done thd work" that would suggest 50:50, the stats don't suggest that the positive end looks like 85:15 as a best case, where the at least 85% are unrealistic.

I started watching Kevin when he only did videos on fragrances. He had only several hundred followers. He switched lane, actually created his own lane and his channel took off.. I've been investing in the stock market since 2006. He inspired me to get my channel going again.

Both of them, in their own style have given good advice and Kevin tells people all the time to seek therapy. As to whether women do as Kevin claims, look to what you see in real life experience and observation.

Men don’t care nearly as much about feelings as they do logic. This is why men feel what he told her was logical and when viewed in full context he (KS) had been trying to communicate and reach her for awhile before he lost his temper. Who knows if the delivery was what she needed, but sometimes you do need tough love if you are in a delusional state and not seeing things as they are. The whole context of that message gets lost in the last few seconds of the video unfortunately. Feelings are good and necessary, it takes feelings and logic to be a well rounded person. Feelings were certainly triggered, that can’t be all that you see when you view something though. The people who think it was too far and the people who think it was honest can both be right in a sense.
He didn't have to cuss at her at the end of the video, that's true. Here also have her 30 mins of his time trying to politely get through to her before he got frustrated when she told him he was being mean.
So while you're right. The people reacting off of their feelings based on him losing his temper should temper their emotions and watch the whole thing to gain proper perspective.

I don’t make my money as a content creator but from what I can see, in his mind it appears giving her that free time was a big deal to him and he considered it a concession.
