Awesome build, I really enjoyed your video. I'm in the process of designing a scratch-built home theatre. There is nothing but grass out the back at the moment.
Great job brother! It's nice to see someone's vision come to life. Gonna be doing something kind of similar myself in the future.I'll have to share a process video with you someday. Cheers!
hello everything is fine? I'm from Brazil and I want to say congratulations, it was really cool, I'm thinking about doing something similar here at home, and congratulations to the couple on their son.
nicely done mate, could you upload a detailed video for the front cabinet and screen mounting, also the LED Installation. also a list of all the equipment would be nice.
Great built, was amazed to see the finished room. Transition was so great. Gave me great confidence for DIY, I have a separate room 13x 20 feet dimension. Would like to know what materials you used for sound damping....Please let me know
When you opened the door to show the end product, I was blown away with how good it was. I did not expect it to turn out that amazing. Well done. It was great to see the wife also helping in the build and she did a great job painting. Good to see a fellow Queenslander 😁 Curious why you chose the Polk V65 In-Wall Speaker for your Atmos speakers instead of the usual round in ceiling speakers like the Polk V80 Ceiling Speaker. How do they sound as over head Atmos speakers. what lighting strip did you use up top around the ceiling.
Went the V65 so all the speakers matched more closely. We're limited to regular bookshelf spkrs for the rear surround so I chose an in-wall with the closest tweeter/woofer size to those. V65s sound great as Atmos, the directable tweeter really helps. Led strips are 5m 12V 5050 RGBW (60LED per metre) no brand strips from Aus Electronics, 4 x strips powered by 2 x Shelly RGBW2 controllers
What color paint did you use for the walls and ceiling?

greetings :) very nicely done. I'm interested in what layout you have set in the Denon menu. Is it 9.1? Do you want to make another video about sound settings in the Denon menu? :) and some more details about the sound…😊
🍾🎈🎉🎊👍 Cool! So much work but the result is great! Very professional! P:S. Can we the viewers make a visit to you and watch something in your home theatre room? 😉👊
Yep they're recliners (except the middle position). We left enough space so both rows could be fully reclined and the rear row's feet don't get too close to the front's head
Thankfully no, that front wall and screen are somewhat isolated from the ground and walls with rubber mounts. Certainly shakes the floor upstairs though :D
Haha it certainly would, but yes there's a split system aircon unit above the screen, it's all black so it blends in nicely, barely even notice it's there
i think u did a a big mistake ur blocking ur left and right towers with the frame of screen lol im sure it cant sound great like that maybe bring them in closer or get bigger screen like 2:35:1 or something
Okay love the transformation but you’re gonna have both structural issues and moisture issues… you need a steel lentil and supports for where you put in the “new door” and wood never touches concrete without a barrier
There is a steel lintel above the door and there's barriers and seals wherever qld building codes require, the video doesn't really show any of this, a few times we had to redo things where we forgot them
@@Inboundbogie cinema is always better with a high quality tv panel. Trying to copy a movie theater is not normal, nor advised. Movie theater replicas are a cult, freak behavior. Movie theaters have tons of issues and weaknesses. At home you can have a much better experience with a good tv and a sound system that puts you in the center of the action, instead of trying to accommodate lots of people like movie theaters poorly do.
@rafars2246 you don't know what your talking about. Tell me where I can get a 135 inch 4k tv to replace my Projector... exactly. Projectors are better for more immersion. Some Projectors even look better than some tvs in the right room conditions. Don't be a Debbie downer.
super epic setup, and proper build to... i would get bigger subs, that could go lower. to get that real punch.. got a svs pb-1000pro my self, and holy mf its prober kicker.. many time i get shocked still, with it goes boom. and the bass hit you, when guns are shot and so on...
Hard to think of a better DIY garage convert home theatre install. You both did a great job. 👏🏾👏🏾

Just phenomenal buddy. Incredibly inspirational
Congratulations my man really a beautiful installation that you have created.👍
Given the space you had to work with, you did a phenomenal job. Enjoy!
Well done. Well thought out and well executed. You can tell you knew exactly what you were aiming for. Looks awesome!
Beautiful theater
Awesome Bro 😍 have a special greetings from india. Kerala

Really nicely done! Maybe i missed it. what the overall size of the theater room plus the study?

@@willusishere Thanks for reply. Did you do plastering yourself. Once again great looking room. Enjoy
@@gab7344 we hung all the plasterboard and straightened the walls but we got a professional in to do the finish plastering
very nice had you see the Futronix 4 8 12 channel lighting controller
I hadn't but I just had a look at the Futronix page, looks like an awesome bit of gear

It's set to 11.1ch with the rear Atmos speakers on pre-out only and 2 subwoofers. Sure I'll try make a video of that, thanks for the suggestion
Thank you for the info. What other amplifier do you use for pre-out?
Super travail
Bravo
Looks amazing what's the dimension of the room ?
3.5x6.2m, ceiling height is 2.7m

Hi, loved the cinema Room! But II have one question will you paint the white diffusion panels grey?
No they'll stay white, we go through the cinema to get to the study everyday so we didn't want everything to be dark grey
@@willusishere all good it is your cinema 😃
It can only power 9 channels but can process 11 channels so do you have some preamps to finish powering all the speakers...?
Yep we have a small stereo amp that powers the rear Atmos speakers
Fantastic job, love the seating. Are they recliners ? If so how much space did you leave for the lower one as looks snug. Great job
Yep they're recliners (except the middle position). We left enough space so both rows could be fully reclined and the rear row's feet don't get too close to the front's head
Very cool. Does your screen shake at all from the bass?
Thankfully no, that front wall and screen are somewhat isolated from the ground and walls with rubber mounts. Certainly shakes the floor upstairs though :D
Is this set up a 5.1/7.1/5.2/7.2? Also what size is your screen again? By the way nice and clean setup.
7.2 + 4 over head speakers. Screen is 120", thanks
Nice!
Did you do anything with ventilation?
I mean, 4-6 people and 2-3 hour movie would make the air moist and stinky😁
Haha it certainly would, but yes there's a split system aircon unit above the screen, it's all black so it blends in nicely, barely even notice it's there
i think u did a a big mistake ur blocking ur left and right towers with the frame of screen lol im sure it cant sound great like that maybe bring them in closer or get bigger screen like 2:35:1 or something
The L&R towers sit outside the screen boundary, so they're only behind a layer of speaker fabric
Screen size?
120 inch

So much work, ends up with a projector...
