I have watched the shows on this basement from the beginning and I seriously doubted it would ever become a usable space (but I didn't know the many talents of Daniel back then). Having seen Yianni's house build, I will never underestimate Daniel again.
There's one niggle I have and that is the brightness of the carpet. I suspect at a later date, the client may do his best to get the dark one he initially wanted.

I watch a lot of cinema room installs as I find them very interesting, but this is up there with one of the best. The attention to detail and quality of work is second to none! Fantastic work !

one thing, amongst many, about Ashville is that they always do an amazingly professional job!!!!!
Visually stunning.. Audio design.. you will get kick back from home theater enthusiasts like me. Rear surround on the ceiling ..why? Centre should be the same orientation and size and the L and Right. Left assume you have strong reasons for doing otherwise. Also a room like that deserves a higher end processor. Just seems like esthetics was more important than audio which is fare enough..owners choice. Tuning the room may require room correction software like Dirac which may help with bass Nulls and sound object steering. Still a great room but enthusiasts will cut their eye a little.

So you tell me, that you used an acustic transparent screen, and still put the center channel lower than left and right, although they should be on the same height? Plus it's a D´appolito Center rather than just the same L/R Speaker, so it sounds different. So you went for a AT screen but put the same subpar center speaker in as if you had a TV where you have to move it bellow the TV. I would go back, rip out the center, get another of the normal L/R speakers, cut a new hole at the same height as the other front channels. That way a sound moving from left to right isn't dipping down in height and doesn't sound completely different.

Did you use an acoustically transparent screen? Why did you match the height of the speakers across the front? The center should have been at the same height as the L&R and oriented vertically. The subwoofers should also be in different locations. It's a beautiful room. Disappointed in the speaker layout.

The audio would drive me nuts because of the center. In a setup with an acoustic transparent screen you generally want to use an lcr speaker. Place the center speaker dead center in the screen. That way when you’re watching a movie the sound doesn’t sound like it’s coming below the screen.

this was great, got lots of idears off this one. I know there was structural limitions, the only thing that i didnt like ( and i mean the ONLY thing ) was the speaker layout. Subs are best with one infrount and other behind the seats to best cancle out the suck out in bass.

Amazing transformation, what a beautiful home theater! Only one thing that bugs me a little is how low they installed the Center channel speaker. When a physical TV is there, it physically has to go below, or above the TV, but when it's a projection screen and the speakers can be mounted behind, then the front 3 (Left/Center/Right) Ideally should be aligned with one another so dialogue is coming from the middle of the screen, or if a sound pans left to right, it's not dipping down to the bottom of the screen then back up on either side. Not a huge deal breaker, but just less ideal. Otherwise great work!
The whole speaker configuration is a little questionable to me. With a acoustically transparent projection screen they should be using identical LCR speakers. Not sure why they went with a center channel that was made for fitting into/on a media cabinet.
And what’s up with using the back ceiling speakers as back surrounds? It’s a weird match with the LR side surrounds. I’m pretty sure they had room in the back for actual rear surrounds.

i worked here as a plumber several times and remember when your guys were working here. i was running a gas pipe for the fireplace at that time and didnt get the chance to see it complete. you guys did a crazy job
