This still gives me Goosebumps after watching this several years earlier..👏👏 This will forever be one of my Top 10 movie and the Broadway interpretations is still unmatched👏👏❤❤
You have to understand, musical acts on NYC subways are pretty common. Broadway performances definitely aren't, but subway artists are actually pretty good. They have to be because they always ask for money at the end, which is what I suspect a lot of the passengers were expecting. Us New Yorkers also like our quiet time on the train, however short a ride it is, and hate when it's interrupted, no matter what it is. We perfected the art of pretending we're either asleep or just don't see you. That said, if I'd been there I would've been singing right along with them! And then pretended I was asleep, lol.
Mets78 thanks very much I truly agree with what you said being a New Yorker (especially how much we pay for transportation). Also I saw some people with their phones in their hands recording as well as flashes going off from some pictures being taken. I also saw some people at the end the performance give some of the performers high fives. So just because they were not "crying" doesn't mean they were ungrateful. People need to stop ASSuming (and I emphasize the word ass everyone reacts differently) they did not enjoy the performance.
I think its the fact that people come in the train everyday and perform whether its singing, dancing or whatever that we got so used to it, so its just nothing new anymore. Some days I appreciate it but there are some days where I would prefer some peace and quiet especially when its early in the morning
Mikelangelo the only ones enjoying this hot mess was the performers. The riders just looked boated by this iffy performance. Would not make me want to spend $$$$ a seat to go.
Loved the two little girls singing along, wonderful it must be to be young and free and to be able to sing from your heart simply for the pleasure of it.
I went to watch the musical and sounds exactly like how they were singing in the subway, those people who were in the subway r lucky to have a free like music
I noticed that as well! And then he’s part of the cast singing! In fairness, even if I knew it was about to happen, that was a pretty powerful note she hit when she started singing...!
As a New Yorker, when people start singing on the subway, I usually pray for it to end. The people who don't look excited are those people who have been submitted to bad subway singers for so many years they can't absorb the miracle they are being made privy to.
Last time I took the A train a saw a homeless man pee between the carts then took a seat with his wet pants like nothing happened... so yea these people should have been more grateful for this awesome train ride
No... All those big voices sound amazing in a large theater, but when you're inside a steel can that is screeching against the tracks it all just starts to sound like noise. I'm a fan and even I would've wanted them to shut up.
I love the kids singing along. Also can’t believe some of the people’s reactions. I understand being fed up with work and just trying to get home but you just witnessed a once in a lifetime experience and it was incredible
D'you mean the people ignoring the music, just sitting with a straight face? They're New Yorkers. Just a stranger on the bus, tryna make their way home.

Carlton I. Huh? Youre saying it like we werent supposed to be recommended this now, because its not the exact time it was uploaded. You said exactly what I responded to.
Not in Gb Dude chill, it was a joke
This still gives me Goosebumps after watching this several years earlier..👏👏 This will forever be one of my Top 10 movie and the Broadway interpretations is still unmatched👏👏❤❤
Simmmmmmba
Those passengers were dry and ungrateful. My ass woulda been crying all the way home.
I would cry and dance like a crazy girl 😂😂😂
Perhaps but before you judge them just think they might be deaf!
Rick Cruz i snorted
*You Have Now Arrived At Pride Rock*
😂😂😂
We are now leaving pride Rock next stop the place where the sun will never touch... EVER
*Next stop, The Elephant Graveyard*
I would miss my stop just to hear them!
My goosebumps have goosebumps! I would have bawled my eyes out like a baby if I heard this up close. SO moving!
I feel sorry for those people who didnt know the song or the movie
Serious ignorance if that's the case.
+Erin Maurer lol
I know the movie but I didn't watch it as a child and now I'm to old for cartoons. Fuck me, right?
SirGeforce Re-read my comment lol.
Besides I was kinda joking about it.
Who wouldn’t know man
Imagine if they were all pranking the first lady and didnt sing along when she started singing.lol
lmao that would've been a good prank 😂
she has the power to carry the whole performance by herself
I would cry😭
Tf lol...XDXD
too funny just by imagining it 😂😂😂
Yup. Typical New Yorkers don’t even raise an eyebrow
Right?
I think its the fact that people come in the train everyday and perform whether its singing, dancing or whatever that we got so used to it, so its just nothing new anymore. Some days I appreciate it but there are some days where I would prefer some peace and quiet especially when its early in the morning
The subway is the best way of commute so you see a lot of random things and get used to it eventually especially if you live or grow up there
Mikelangelo the only ones enjoying this hot mess was the performers. The riders just looked boated by this iffy performance. Would not make me want to spend $$$$ a seat to go.

Everytime this pops up in my feed, I grab the chance to see it. Tears in my eyes each time. Of pure joy. 💌💕
Loved the two little girls singing along, wonderful it must be to be young and free and to be able to sing from your heart simply for the pleasure of it.
Peter Baldwin pretty sure they're also part of the cast ;)
No matter what age. Always find a song and sing like there is no tmrw! BOHO forever Jah love the world.
Peter Baldwin they are simba and nala
That's the "danger" of being in NYC: you never know when you'll cross paths with a Broadway cast 😄!
So beautiful, though! 👌❤
I'm crying watching this.
I went to watch the musical and sounds exactly like how they were singing in the subway, those people who were in the subway r lucky to have a free like music
I saw the musical yrs ago, would love to see it again. Take the kids now that they are older
As a south African im very proud of you ,and you did very very good🥰🥰🥰🥰
idk why I can't stop myself laughing at the man who startled when the woman starts singing🤣
I noticed that as well! And then he’s part of the cast singing! In fairness, even if I knew it was about to happen, that was a pretty powerful note she hit when she started singing...!
It's starts and everyone looks and stares
I would've been very startled too lamo
😅😅so goddam true
Same!!!!!! 😂😂😂
Came here after watching a video about people singing the circle of life in a plane😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Same
bts blackpink Same
ㅋㅋ. Same.
And btw
Same ksksksk
Me too!!
Its my first time on a subway hope it's good....
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Wolfie hunt imagine being from a very quiet country too and being to NYC for the first time lmao
Imagine being from Africa and falling asleep and waking up to this
Such a beautiful show. I took my daughter when they were in Vegas and literally got teary eyed at this song. This would be such an amazing experience.
I'd be that one person at the end of it to yell, "AGAIN, AGAIN!!"
james snow I was your hundredth like. You're welcome.
You would think I am part of cast!
I'd ask them to sing He Lives in You.
As a New Yorker, when people start singing on the subway, I usually pray for it to end. The people who don't look excited are those people who have been submitted to bad subway singers for so many years they can't absorb the miracle they are being made privy to.
lhj276 my dad and I got a free show to this guys rap career going to a cubs game. We didn't ask for it.
lhj276 finally a good anwser the A from 59 street to 125 all the "singers, acrobathics bullshit" that's why I rather hear my music in headfhones 😬
Except you pray for it to continue when its a fucking Broadway cast singing to you for FREE!!!!!!
lhj276- Thanks for the NY inside scoop! Good to know.
I flash my badge and grab my can of OC spray
Last time I took the A train a saw a homeless man pee between the carts then took a seat with his wet pants like nothing happened... so yea these people should have been more grateful for this awesome train ride
Nila Banlow I'm literally in tears 😂😂😂😂
Some young girls and their mothers looked really happy and were singing :)
No... All those big voices sound amazing in a large theater, but when you're inside a steel can that is screeching against the tracks it all just starts to sound like noise. I'm a fan and even I would've wanted them to shut up.
Truue
Nila Banlow lmbo
The people around the singing..the smiling!! Priceless!!❤️❤️❤️
No shootings, no rage, no cursing, no cruelty for a minute or two in a small space on this planet. Very little has as much power.
Most of the time these things don’t happen, you just see them because the e news is always shoving negative info down our throats
Well said!
@@charlesludwig9321 thanks for saying that
You are so right
Dude their performances are always so beautiful, I'm literally crying
I don't cry, but same here.
I don't understand how the passengers can stay so calm ... I would be smiling and laughing and dancing with them ! ^^
I would look like a fool or a maniac 😂
I saw this in Melbourne Australia a few years ago and still cry when I hear them sing. What a privilege the people in the train have had ❤❤
RIP Headphone users!! You will be missed
True.. but it's too bad ass to be angry at. :)
Aska Gangsta!!!
There is a pro vocal lesson guide on superiorsinginmethod.com for anyone who wants to sing better
Tell my homies I said Peace out

I love the kids singing along. Also can’t believe some of the people’s reactions. I understand being fed up with work and just trying to get home but you just witnessed a once in a lifetime experience and it was incredible
I actually didn't see any negative reactions at all, which was equally surprising. I thought there'd be one person going, "What the--?"
D'you mean the people ignoring the music, just sitting with a straight face? They're New Yorkers. Just a stranger on the bus, tryna make their way home.
Once in a life time experience ?? I’d be going another coach !!! All fir attention
Im a New Yorker, in the subway that IS our version of excitement 😄. If the phones are out and filming you, we're with ya, lol!
Actually, the kids are broadways Young Nalas and Young Simbas. So they were apart of the cast :D
i wish this happened more often, the world would be a better place and full of song.
These vidoes give me goosebumps everytime 😊
