This video was great. Thanks a lot. I personally will recommend to beginners game designers: play a lot of games. Buy and play the most popular games, to see what they are popular. If you don't like the game, is easy to sell them, games hold their value quite well. And also watch reviews of board games. I am learning a lot, and improving my designs this way a lot!

I make fun board games since I was in elementary and my friends, and family enjoys it and it was hilarious most of the time. I wish I could sell my unique boardgame designs too and share the fun with people.

Hey! Enjoyed your game design outline. I am also a designer in Minneapolis. I'm just getting ready to submit my first game to publishers this summer.

    Thanks!
What kind if software do you use for designing graphics on a board?
    Thanks

      Glad you like it!
It depends, there are a lot of resources out there. Some freen, some not.
I use Component.studio for designing and laying out my components and cards. th-cam.com/video/T2yXW0UkL5s/w-d-xo.html
For the finished art in Perspective and Snow Day, that was done by profesisonal artists, probably in photoshop.
Somtimes I use the Affinity Design and Affinity Photo programs to make simple art, but that's not my strength.
I'm usually just using placeholder art/icons from The Noun Projects. But there are free resources out there too like game-icons.net.

I love board games and how it connect people! Do you know Lagim card game? I found it at Kickstarter and it captured my interest. It is a card game battle against monsters and other players. Plus, the art and quality of the game set (based on Filipino folklore) are impressive. I think you’d love it, too! :)
