Fix Tailgate Noise With Dorman Tailgate Insert Install Win or Fail?

Just a quick tailgate plastic insert installation video.

Those upper latch posts are adjustable to take up any slack in the movement of the tail gate.

I just installed this kit on my Ford.The kit says Ford and Dodge.My Ford takes the round ones only,I guess the other ones are for Dodge.Went on easy and works great.I put some grease on for lubrication 5 min.install.

I just did this on my 97 F150. I put grease on both sides of the inserts just for hood luck. Both of them popped right in.
Another major rattle gone. 😂

I just installed this kit on my 1996 2500 & I had to use a hammer to tap the round inserts into the tailgate AND the rectangular ones into the round ones. Then I installed the tailgate.

The Arctic Outpost also tried the dorman kit would not fit too thick sux. Buy another brand or Oem you will save a lot of time, good luck

Not even close for 99 dodge. Tried to mod them but they’re so far off it’s ridiculous. Another blatant rip-off from Dorman
