    So basically, put a 2" lift kit & maybe some real skid plates & you got an elite off-road rig?

    Thank you for the informative video showcasing the vehicle's capabilities as well as some of its shortfalls. For a family in need of a 3-row SUV, this OEM package may very well be the king of the cross-overs at this time.

    Bar far the best Rock Creek review I have seen. And I've seen most. I've been a Nissan guy since Datsun. With 9 cars from local dealership.....they like us. I just bought mine today. Same color and all. Cheers and thanks.

    Nissan Pathfinder interior design and exterior design.Way much better than a cheaply built Toyota Highlander. Now it got 9-speed automatic transmission so I am going to order one for my family for holiday adventures.

    I wonder why Nissan doesn’t just bump the suspension an extra inch to 8.7. A Subaru standard clearance. I understand fuel economy, highway wind noise, and handling are impacted but for a rock creek edition this is a must. This awd system is so impressive for a mainstream crossover compared to a highlander or a pilot. Such a shame…

    @amyheaton2080 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    This is the review I was looking for. Well done. With Jeep and Ford capitalizing so well with the true off-roading crowd, and Toyota, Chevy, and Dodge having some capable rigs, it is sad that Nissan hasn't developed a next gen Xterra. I guess the Pathfinder is at least not the ridiculous, disappointing travesty that Chevy's Blazer turned out to be!

    Ive got the 2024 rock creek and im very very happy with it so far. Its way more capable then I actually thought it would be! Im a happy camper. Just sold my 21 ford ranger for this thing. :)

      @bogart5131 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      campe? yes that rock creek will do.... it cannot just do it in serious off road due to poor ground clearance. can't change the tire anymore to a bigger cause of poor distance from tire to mud guard, they should make more distance. or immitate the ground clearance of prado

    Don't get me wrong I think everybody knows this isn't a hard-core off roader but I think Nissan's Awd / 4wd system in the Pathfinder and the Murano is underrated. I know 1st hand after getting caught in Gatlinburg, TN in a out of nowhere snowstorm the Murano Awd is like a mountain goat. We were going past full size trucks and Jeeps that were stuck on the highway and we never even slipped. Wouldn't have believed it for nothing if I hadn't been driving. 😎💪💪👍👍🤙

    • @jusstBrian
      @jusstBrian ปีที่แล้ว +2

      1000% the AWD in my Murano is amazing. I’ve never been worried in a storm.

      I just traded in my Rogue with 4 AWD and never got stuck after 275K mi. Hit something hard and bent the frame, had to let her go. But I pick up the exact color and model as in the vid so I'm excited. Cheers.

    • @JimYeats
      @JimYeats 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not surprising. There is a significant difference between offroad/rock crawling and moderate speed snow travel, with AWD vehicles with advanced traction control doing much better in the snow, but fairing poorly in slow speed rock crawling/loose gravel due to it’s inability to figure out what to do and apply appropriate power.

  • @seana985
    @seana985 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Good looking crossover thats capable for fake-light off roading, it's Nissan trying to make up for not making an Xterra anymore (when they still make the truck it is based on ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). Neat offering for moms who want something like an AT4 Acadia (meaning fake capability but a great look). Not saying it's a bad product, it's a great product in the market. I think the "king of the 3 row crossovers" as he said, still no substitute for a real off roader.

    Too much AWD crap in vehicles these days. They need 4WD. Maybe a rear locker or at least an LSD and ability to full disengage any kind of traction control.

    If you knew how to drive a little better you would have seen that if you would have just kept going your front left wheel would have came up on to the next hump and that would have given you a lot more ground clearance by the time you're back tire hit you would have been home free!

  • @googleuser2452
    @googleuser2452 ปีที่แล้ว

    I want somebody with a Grand Cherokee Trailhawk to try that sandy hill in rock mode and 4-Low. If it still can't make it up, that would be sad. As for Nissan, everyone is asking them for more ground clearance, but they won't do it.

    Hi Ben. Really liking your channel. Your reviews are great. Was wondering if you think this Rock Creek would be able to do the 100 mile White Rim Road in Canyonlands. Especially with a 2" lift and slightly bigger tires. I know Suburus have done it. Just wasn't sure if your trail is similar that trail. Thanks.

  • @justinpeevy3213

    Would this be viable on the beach? Or would you need a dedicated low end like a traditional 4X4?

    • @nunosapunso6239
      @nunosapunso6239 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You will need to air down on the beach which will bring that 7.7 inch ground clearance even lower. That’s not good especially in ruts. Once the axles get in the sand, you’re done for and will need to be pulled out. It won’t matter if you have the best 4x4 system. Simply put, it needs a higher ground clearance for driving in soft sand.
