"Wenn die Soldaten" is a German soldiers/folk song dedicated to once military service. although the name of the authors of the song are not know, its history can be traced to the 19th century.
The song is featured on a preserved German postcard from the First World War, sent from the front in 1916. The postcard is called "Wenn die Soldaten durch die Stadt marschieren". The lyrics of the song were printed on the back with a soldier's note that he doesn't meet many girls at the front.

​@@america7082 The soldiers seen in the picture carry the SKS rifle and wear the M56 Stahlhelm helmet, both of which were not used by the Weimar Republic nor did exist in that period but were both used by the East German Nationale Volksarmee

I keep finding this version of Wenn Die Soldaten as the East German Wenn Died Soldaten. I'm confused if this is the West German or East German version.

You have the imperial, west and East German version. The west and imperial German version are pretty much the same while the East German version I could find has altered lyrics

Why can't they give the germans their land back, the decision not to caused WW2, why can't the allied powers not see that, this will make the Germans very happy and will not have imperialist fantasies nor hostilities towards allied nations

@@isleofmanresident100 I agree, idk why the german people were punished instead of the people who orchestrated the atrocities and war goals of the third reich, they now rely off of the industrial might of the german people, germany is the leading industrial force in europe with about the strongest workforce and we become reliant off of them after destroying the dreams of the people, which is to unite the territories of the german states that were lost during ww1 and ww2 not to conquer the world and murder millions

@@isleofmanresident100yes, in my opinion was it the allies who's fault it was for ww2. Because regardless of who would have got the power in germany, the communists or the nazis, both would have startet a war. But ofc Hitler hasn't a clear west, because of him the war got so big

Нет, версия ( запись песни) от "Вермахта" ( времен "Вермахта" и 3-го Рейха) мне нравится намного больше ( как говорится : "Внушает"), чем эта Западно-Германская версия от полу-кастрированного Западно-Германского "Бундесвера" ( ФРГ). В версии-записи времен "Вермахта" чувствуется Мощь, Сила, Напор ( Натиск), Немецкий ( Рыцарский-Тевтонский) Дух ( Немецкой Нации). А нынешняя Западно-Германская версия ( от ФРГ) - эта ( похоже) как Ливерная импотентная "колбаска" Шольца ( Западно-Германскую версию ( исполнение) как будто Кастрировали и вытащили ( из нее) весь ( этой песни) Немецкий Дух-Стержень ( и всю немецкую Потенцию-потенциал)
