this song is one of my favourites in terms of how well (I think) Vessel uses the divine Sleep as a metaphor for a love / breakup he can't get over "will you levitate up where the angels inhabit... where I won't reach you" it's like he's pleading to his memories "please will you just disappear and let me forget you?" just my reading, and maybe I'm projecting as I was grieving a lost relationship when this album came out and that's how I sung it worship
i would highly recommend "drag me under" its one of my fav's and it never fails to impress me how much vessel and the band make a few instruments some so huge and beautiful.
Levitate always gives me goosebumps, if you like Vessel and a piano then you’ll probably like Vessel and an organ in the song ‘The Way That You Were’ which has a video featuring one of his earliest masks. Yes I think that Sleep Token could do a song for a film, I could see them doing a Bond theme. Worship

Anywhere that I hear Vessels voice and his music is home for me now. Like the moon, even if you can't see it, you know it's there, but when it's illuminated at night, it's dazzling and it can outline a landscape in silver. A familiar distant light.

Yea I believe that as well like maybe his mom or a grandparent someone that he cared about that went through allot like possible abuse or something. Especially if you ever heard his early music there are other songs that are similar to allot of these songs.
The first half of song reminds me of the outro for the anime Monster, and I cannot say no to that. The second half floats off to another dimension and drags you up by the neck, tho.
All their songs could be soundtracks for the best movies ever done. I also got goosebumps by the sheer beauty of that song and expected it to go on like their Rain song, I mean like a hymn like song and just kicked my cup of tea over when they dared to throw in their damn breakdown-guitar-drum- thunderstorm again, like they love to do so often, just to remind us, their a hellish metal band 😈🤘so better be prepared next time. No matter what soft and sweet sounds they do, in the end they will shock ya, exceptions included.
