and take aim and fall for me. and the middle part was in the ending part of *euclid*. luckily i started *sundowning* first when i listened to them for the first time
Mine, Give, Fields of Elation, The love You Want, are all some of the best in my opinion off of both albums before TMBTE. Gods, and Ascensionism are my favorites of all three albums though. I would love to see your reaction to any of the above, yet I know you have seen one of them (Ascensionism) already it would still be lovely to watch your reaction to any of the other’s. Hope your injury is doing better!!!
One of the first songs I ever heard by the band back when they were releasing one song from their debut album every friday until the album released. For me the song tells the story of someone surrendering to the fact that no matter how much they wish they could make someone love them, they can't. And that they've come to accept everyone and everything is it's own. The night doesn't belong to god. The night is of a god. It's own god. Just like a person is.
So this is the first song off of their first album, and a lot of the lyrics from this song were present in the final song of the latest album Take Me Back To Eden in the song Euclid. That’s why it sounds so familiar. Vessel is a lyrical genius being able to tie everything together and having the foresight to bring the story full circle. I actually saw Sleep Token at Radio City in May and they started the concert with The Night Does Not Belong To God and ended the concert with Euclid so the concert managed to bring the story full circle as well, and it was glorious. I definitely got emotional, especially during Euclid when he repeats the lyrics “and I know for the last time, that you will not be mine, so give me the night, the night, the night.” Vessel actually started choking up and crying as he sang these lyrics. They’re so good.
It doesn't matter the mood I'm in, the moment I engage in a reaction video of Sleep Token I'm just RIPPED into this raw, emotional and vulnerable state of mind. Nearly 40 years on this planet listening to all the music and this band just hits you in the feels in the most inexplicable and beautiful ways.
When at the May 27 2024 concert, this was the first they played that night. Like a 5 year old child, I thumped down on my haunches, in awe of the light show, Vessels vocals, the music...it was so wonderfully overwhelming, the entire row in which I sat joined hands and virtually all of us cried during the entire concert, more or less. That night, my life actually changed for the better!
After trying for a long time, my wife and I conceived our child on the night of a sleep token concert. Now this song makes me emotional as they opened with it. The night comes down like heaven.
This song and Euclid tie in so well together. Like two book ends on a shelf. The trilogy of albums Sleep Token put together is probably one of the best musical arrangements of all time. Definitely the best in the past couple of decades. Worship🤘🏼🔥
Sleep Token Rituals (how they refer to concerts) are so ethereal. They do not speak to the crowd at all. It's just song after song after song. The lights and visuals are stunning. The female vocalists (forget their names) are angelic, and Vessel's vocals are beyond the recordings. As others pointed out, this is the first song of their first album, and Vessel ties in the lyrics and instrumentals in Euclid, the last song of their last/most recent album. It's absolute genius, and shows just how talented Vessel is.
Ive went through all the albums a few times. Hearing the first few notes of this song immediately starts the waterworks. Its such a bittersweet journey.
I've listened to it so many times and still get chills. Keep on going with them because they don't have a bad song, just certain songs hit different in different times of your life, they are unbelievable.
Oh wow u discovered their 1st album Sundowning!! PLEASE go explore this whole album...its where the magical journey all begins. Then move to the 2nd This Place Will Become Your Tomb. Omg incredible!! I wanna watch em all 🤷 lol Luv ur face btw...u look exactly how I felt n still feel when I listen to this God-tier band. Listening to ST is like discovering an amazing new color 💯 Luv ur reactions...keep em comin 🫶
So, this song off of the "Sundowning" album deals specifically with what the album title is about, which is where someone's mental faculties deteriorate later in the day and they begin showing signs of dementia and Alzheimer's at night...so he's praying that he can just have one more night together with someone he loves without them losing their memories as the night falls...
I've been a huge fan of Sleep Token and recently this song has become one of my favorites.(most are my favs lol) I find myself randomly singing "the night comes down like heaven","In turning divine" and "the whites of your eyes" 😂. I've listened to it at least 40 times in 3 days 😅. Also W God lover .
Man I feel like it’s been too long!! Glad to see ya back, hope the injury is getting better 😅❤ This song is definitely one of the slower build ups and boy is it ever worth being patient for the opening. It just makes you wanna be there in person experiencing the all that is Sleep Token
To me the title means the night belongs to the person vessel is mostly singing about, the toxic relationship with them throughout the albums. In the song Euclid, the lyric “The night belongs to you”, further explains my reasoning, and also this song reminded you of Euclid with the middle lyrics and the ending lyrics of Euclid.
3:29 yes you absolutely do. I went to the NY ritual and it was the closest I’ve ever come to a religious experience. And it was not a sausage fest cause the ladies outnumbered the men 2:1 almost which is a great change of pace compared to most shows
This song makes me feel peaceful as well. You should just listen all the way through this record. When you want a change maybe check out Mk.Gee -Dream Police.
😊 - very good song, will need to check out more of their songs - very good review 😊 - have you heard of Shinedown ? Check out “ A Symphony of Being Human “ 😊
The Night does not Belong to God, the night belongs to “Sleep” or “One” the ancient being that Vessel is speaking of. He wants to be with Sleep but can’t so he says “give me the night, the night, the niiighhhtt” because it’s the next best thing if he can’t be with her🥹 I hope this helps @vanessagomes 🖤
Such a beautiful piece 🪽 what does it mean to you?
its my favorite song from them. i feel vulnerable and relieved when listening to it. U should also check out xzarkhan supreme magnetic

They opened with this song last Sunday at the concert in Frankfurt, going there with my daughter.

Now go listen to Euclid again👌🏻

The Aura this song has live is unreal. They came out to this in pittsburgh this year and it was SOMETHING.

Glad I'm not the only one who believes this song and a lot of this album is related to Dementia/Alzheimer's.
@@AJvsEverything this makes it sad for me 🥹
Your comment about God ❤ I love your vibe, and you have a beautiful soul

Incredible song. Both this, and Euclid (HAVE TO REACT TO BTW) make me feel so nostalgic for some reason. Can’t put my finger on it.
They kicked off the recent concert at Radio City with this song and ended it with Euclid. It was very moving. Great reaction as usual!

Nothing to say except.. Perfect way to end the video with that Sleep Token Tone.

Sleep Token doesn't disappoint! I see no Dayseeker reactions on your page. Wanna check out Dayseeker - Without Me?
The keyboard lick and some of the lyrics are repeated in Euclid, book ending the trilogy of albums... Worship...
