  • Can we fix the typical Ebay/Ali express China copy intake manifold? let's cut it up and lets investigate.

We try to port it as best as we can within the limits of the casting physically
also mention the types of grit we use after the carbide bit and the lube used.
The question is if the stock as cast form is deemed inferior? can it be ported to be at least decent? or does it get surprisingly better once ported.
The members only section is also discussed and we share the actual videos and how detailed they are at that section for those that takes engine build and tuning really serious.

Love the content and how technical you are. Thank you for the well thought out videos.
    Also quick question.
I just recently installed a skunk2 pro manifold on my b20v and I noticed I get a slight stutter when I get close to cracking Vtec.
I checked my injectors to check if they were clogged and ran the number off the injector and it came back as 190cc.
    Would this cause an issue?
My car is tuned for 240cc but it was never a problem before I switched manifolds.
Idk 🤷 what could possibly be the issue. Everything is torqued to spec and calibrated as well

Thanks brother! I try to actually come up with stuff that I know should be talked about for better results 😎
I believe your manifold is installed properly
But the 190cc might be an issue in general its small for a b20v but also as I do ecu tuning too
I know the vtec range on or bfor vtec the fuel demand is “there” and the stuttering could be the injector having a hard time coping with the spike of demand bfor the transition?

@@SRDmotorsports you are very welcome boss and thank you for the response. It is always great to get feedback from someone with your knowledge.
I have done my research and figured it was a fuel problem as I turned up my fuel pressure regulator and it seemed to help but it is not a problem I want to continue driving with as I know this can cause other issues.
      Ordering new injectors tonight.
      Thank you 🙏

Have you ever considered using a flex hone to get the full length of the intake runners smooth or are you able to work it from both ends?

    • @SRDmotorsports
      @SRDmotorsports  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Flex hone could help indeed
But the 6” extension I use reaches thru and thru when working on both ends

Yes actually I’ve ported a few skink2 C#{na copy K and you are right especially when I got to port about 2 original skunk2 K series for the guys at PRE in Minnesota that’s when I saw how far and how much BETTER the original is even with regards to porting
I can port the original to a way way better shape than any c#}na clone

Don't buy the fake one. After I bought it and installed it I putt a bore camera in the runner and they didn't meet the head ports they where off by 3-4 mm to the left side. After that I bought the real one and the Skunk2 was off by like 0.5mm.

The d sounds better with high compression and Weber carb more torquie and more peppy and with the right tune and timing and carb needles is a better engine to play and cheaper to build.i build one and believe me the big boys have hard time with my junkyards parts set up nothing special old school tricks and simple enough 10.5 compression perfect for my Weber on a mini me d15b2 and p08-3 head no VTEC or turbo 272 Delta cam regrind sound like a muscle car on lights stop sings and gas stations people ask me if I have a ford V8 engine jjjjj. No ECM crap only better coil smd wires and spark plugs and rotor that simple using d15b2, distributor on po8-3 head real peppy with si transmission standard my CRX is a little devil with Weber and set up 8000 rpm easy with better spring set up and Weber carb always response sweet.Old school style her sound is dp lion sound the cam gargal beautiful no problems at all.Plus half radiator for more are to cool the engine bay and for weber to get cooler air in all is mathematics in simple form call basics gd video im old school style CCR born in the byouooooo 😊
